Mark Langan relives his 26 years as an Omaha Police Department officer with his awardwinning book titled “Busting Bad Guys: My True Crime Stories of Bookies, Drug Dealers and Ladies of the Night.” Langan attended an MCC book writing series in 2013 and said, “I gained insight into the process itself. I was better prepared to put my stories to words, publish the book and spend several years on the book-selling circuit.” He jokingly said he’s gone from busting meth labs to chasing black labs with his second career as the vice president of operations for the Nebraska Humane Society. You may find him selling his book at summer farmer’s markets (it is also available on Amazon and at the Bookworm).
