LOCAL COMMiTTEE PRESiDENT

AiESEC EN COLOMBiA


LCP PROFiLE INTELLECTUAL & PSYCHOLOGiCAL Many aspects of one’s personality can effect being part of a leadership team in AIESEC in Colombia. Some of them are obvious: constant learning, systematic thinking, creativity, adaptability to change, sense of responsibility, capacity of analysis, patience, listening, and supportiveness but also you have to keep in mind that the most important thing is to understand why as a leader of this amazing organization in AIESEC in Colombia you are doing what you are doing. Great leaders inspire action and lead consciously.

AIESEC UNDERSTANDiNG A broad understanding of the association is required in order to execute an LCP position properly. An understanding of our vision, values, identity, current direction, country development, and systems is certainly something we will look for in all candidates.

SOCiETY KNOWLEDGE A broad knowledge of world and organizational systems, current trends and issues facing society and cultural issues are important to lead a Local Committee. Practical understanding of new management theories (e.g. learning organization, self-organizing systems) is also important in managing the diverse environments in which AIESEC operates. In addition, each position requires skills and knowledge in the areas of nancial management and budgeting, project management, human resources management, and good understanding of English.

OTHERS Overall, there is no perfect candidate profile; however, good candidates will possess strong competencies in the areas of social behavior, motivation, task orientation, and people management skills. The key component is balance - within the individuals and within the team of individuals.

MANDATORY REQUiREMENTS Before start this process, please verify if you accomplish the next requirements, any applicant missing requirements is not going to be considered as oďŹƒcial candidate. Have at least 6 months in the organization. Be of legal age under Colombian law (18 years old). Not having debts with the local or national entity. In case of having them it is mandatory to do the payment of 50% of totality of the debt to be an OďŹƒcial nominated. Not having been removed from your last leadership role within the organization or have resigned (Team Leader or Vice President). Not having any case of ethics open or failed against you by the ethics and discipline court of AIESEC in Colombia. Have at least one leadership experience within the organization (Team Leader, Vice President).

ACTiViTiES Lead the Local Entity towards the achievement of the Organization s Philosophy, Mision and Vision. Assure the accomplishment of the AIESEC WAY within the Local Entity centering on a clear and responsable understanding of the AIESEC VALUES. Guarantee the achievement of the AIESEC’s Brand Promise Manage and orientate the course of the Local Entity according to the AIESEC in Colombia Compendium and all its policies, the AIESEC in Colombia Statutes and the AIESEC in Colombia Ethics Manual. Be the executive representative of the Local Entity into the General Assembly of AIESEC in Colombia and take an active role on the year construction and development of the national entity.

MAiN FUNCTiONS EB MANAGEMENT

Define a local executive board structure and run the process of EB elections with the accompaniment of the national office. Ensure transition process for local executive board 20.22. Lead and Manage the Local Executive Board and the Local Entity according to the AIESEC WAY. Lead the Executive Board towards the fulfillment of Local Entity general strategy and objectives. Implement systems of Review and Assessment for the Local Executive Board. Lead the Planning and Replanning processes. Make decisions regarding the members of the executive board for the benefit of the local committee. STRATEGY AND PERFORMANCE

Guarantee the accomplishment of the national strategy with in the Local Entity. Guarantee the accomplishment of 2025 accomplishment strategies in the Local Entity. Guarantee the accomplishment of the organizational goals per programs (IGT, OGT, OGV, IGV) according to the products of the LC and OD Model. Guarantee customer flow implementation in all the products. Guarantee proper delivery of exchange standards and achievement of complete goal.

MAiN FUNCTiONS ORGANiZATiONAL HEALTH

Guarantee the proper and efficient financial management of the Local Entity according to the national guidelines. Guarantee the proper and efficient human resources management of the Local Entity according to the national guidelines. Guarantee talent capacity and standards for team experiences. Adopt the necessary measures for the proper conservation of the assets of the Local Entity and for the adequate collection and application of its funds. Provide the Ethics and Discipline Court with cases when it deems it necessary or when it is requested according to the volunteer's code. To expel members of the organization after an opinion of the Court of Ethics and Discipline of AIESEC IN COLOMBIA. If is needed remove volunteer members of the Local Entity according to the volunteer code.

MAiN FUNCTiONS GOVERNANCE AND REPRESENTATION

Ensure the accomplishment of the Membership Criteria as member of AIESEC in Colombia. Represent the local entity in the national assembly of AIESEC in Colombia. Contribute to the assigned subcommittee in the national assembly according to its own functions Attend to all the conferences planned by the MC 20 - 21 in the framework of National Education Cycle. Maintain constant communication with Member Committee and provide them with the information required. Guarantee a proper governability system in the local entity. Guarantee the permanence of the local entity over time. Take into account the suggestions of the Local General Assembly. Ensure compliance and enforcement of the decisions of the Local General Assembly. Convene the Local General Assembly to the ordinary meetings according to the local policies, and to the extraordinary ones when it deems convenient. To be the spokesperson for AIESEC IN COLOMBIA to third parties at the local level and in accordance with general policies and national guidelines To present annually to the Local General Assembly, in its ďŹ rst ordinary meeting of the year an end-of-term report. To keep the Local General Assembly properly and timely informed about the progress of the entity.
