CAMP/BASES GUIDE

Camp Kinser Located on the coast along the East China Sea, Camp Kinser is home to the 3D Marine Logistics Group. The camp has living facilities for military members and their families and provides many quality-of-life-enhancing facilities such as two banks, a Marine & Family Programs-Resources center, an education center and library, a movie theater, commissary, Exchange (with a food court) and Express. Camp Kinser also has a child development center (The Yuimaru Center), a School Age Care center and a youth and a teen center as well as Kinser Elementary School. The Kinser community is also served by the Exceptional Family Member Coordinator and Behavioral Health as well. For fitness and recreation, Camp Kinser has a fully equipped fitness

center with free weights, strength machines, an outdoor functional fitness container/area, FREE group fitness classes, cardiovascular training equipment such as treadmills and stationary bikes, an indoor HITT room, a family fitness center, outdoor rec rentals and more. The facility is also equipped with basketball, volleyball and racquetball courts and multipurpose fields for organized sports. A 50-meter pool, a skate park, a bowling center, an SMP center and a Typhoon Motors auto skills center are present as well. Bounce House rentals are also available for pick-up and delivery via MCCS Special Events (645-5828). For dining on Kinser, head to Surfside. Surfside was constructed in 1991 and is one of the Marine Corps’ first facilities that combined officers’, staff NCO and enlisted clubs into

one facility. Alongside its Sunday breakfast buffet and weekly lunch buffets, Surfside also offers a variety of fast-casual dining facilities including Red Barn (American comfort foods and country breakfast) and Bulldogs Burgers. This facility also contains rank-specific lounges and a ballroom with a capacity of up to 400 seated and 854 standing patrons.
