Invitation On behalf of Thammasat University (TU) and the International College of Nutrition (ICN), it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 20th World Congress on Clinical Nutrition (WCCN) to be held on December 14-16, 2016, at Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The theme of the Congress is “Traditional Medicine, Functional Food, Nutrition, Natural Health Products and Spiritual Healing: Additional Tools for Healthcare Delivery”. Thailand has held three WCCNs in the past, the first (8 th WCCN) being hosted by Naresuan University in 2000, followed by the 10th WCCN by Prince of Songkla University in 2004 and the 18 th WCCN by Ubonratchathani University in 2014. With the success of the past conferences, the ICNBoard of Directors has once again decided to hold the Congress in Thailand for the fourth time, to be hosted by Thammasat University in Bangkok. Also known as“Krungthep”, Bangkok is world famous for its many tourist attractions, which include monuments, 400 buddhist temples, luxury hotels and museums. In 2013, Bangkok became the world’s top destination city. It is, therefore, with pleasure that the Organizing Committee invites you to the 20 th WCCN at Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. This conference will bring together practitioners, researchers and educators from around the world who are engaged in the fields related to human health and wellness, such as agriculture, food, nutrition, medicine which includes traditional and alternative medicine, pharmacy, nursing and spiritual guidance. The Conference will continue the WCCN series started in New Delhi in 1988, the latest one being held in Uttar Pradesh, India in 2015, to highlight significant developments in research, innovations and applications in agricultural, food, nutritional, pharmaceutical and medical sciences and technologies, with an emphasis on health and wellness. The Congress will feature a series of presentations and discussions in plenary, concurrent technical and poster sessions, informal gatherings, and exhibitions. We look forward to welcoming you at the 20th World Congress on Clinical Nutrition in December 2016.

About the Conference The conference will provide opportunities to meet and share experiences with representatives from the international pool of experts in agriculture, food, nutrition and healthcare. It will also provide an excellent occasion for forging links with government officials, academics and business communities. Plenary sessions: Invited speakers will deliver lectures on the following topics: 1. Thai traditional medicine for cancer treatment 2. Advances in research and developments of traditional and modern medicine 3. Drug development and absorption of herbal products 4. Clinical studies on traditional medicine 5. Effects of functional food and nutrition on chronic health conditions
Symposia: Abstracts dealing with any of the following topics may now be submitted, following the instructions below. 1. Advances in the development and use of natural medicine for the treatment of illnesses. 2. New developments in traditional and modern medicine for the treatment of major illnesses. 3. Role of nutrition and food in ensuring good health and well being. 4. Clinical studies on traditional medicine and natural products 5. Quality control and legal issues related to herbal medicine and health products 6. Nursing, counseling and spiritual guidance: integral parts of healthcare system. 7. Agriculture and biotechnology in the development of health products. 8. [A panel discussion: Holistic approach to healthcare education and delivery-How can we make it happen?]
Abstracts format: The abstract should have no more than 250 words. It should consist of the following format: Type title in capital letters; author(s’) name(s) in the second line, followed by institution, city and country. Leave one line then type the abstract, which should summarize introduction, objective(s), methods, results and conclusions. Type address for correspondence at the end with email address and telephone and fax numbers. Provide up to 5 keywords for indexing purposes
