WELCOME We are chuffed because as we write this Issue of The Hood, we only have 14 days until Spring peoples! You might be thinking ‘big deal’, but Winter in this neck of the woods is a bit of a grind come late August. Don’t get us wrong, we love it here, but the Sapphire Coast really comes to life in the warmer months, and we are counting down the days. Despite the gloomy weather, we have had a solid Winter sales period, which makes for very happy vendors and purchasers. Of course, every exchange is clientele we value, but we are particularly proud of our recent efforts in selling a spate of 'higher end' properties. We like keeping it classy and limiting the bragging BUT but our Sales team have done an exceptional job of closing several challenging “luxury' sales , and we wanted to give them a virtual pat on the back. Well done team! Thankfully head honcho Trent is very experienced in selling these types of properties (from his Melbourne RE days) which definitely helps. MARKET LOWDOWN We are nearly through winter which means planning for a super Spring quarter is well and truly underway. Winter is a traditionally quiet sales period; however, we like to buck the trends and are happy to report a very strong quarter. Spring is a fantastic time to be selling & buying. The weather is warming up, gardens are looking great and everything just feels lighter and brighter. MADDISON GILTRAP // PROPERTY MANAGER // MERIMBULA REALTY CREW This edition’s ‘get to know our crew’ spotlight shone bright on Maddison Giltrap from our Property Management team. The Canberra native moved to Merimbula with her love Lance, as a bright eyed and bushy tailed eighteen-year-old. Upon her arrival she quickly found herself in the industry, snagging a position with Regional Strata. It wasn’t until Merimbula Realty took over the Merimbula Lake rent roll that a position opened up and she jumped at the opportunity. In her spare time, she studies (yep she is crazy!!) and is halfway through a Psychology Degree. But we have already told her she is never allowed to leave! Just kidding Maddy....but seriously take your time finishing that degree aye?! Best part of the job // meeting new characters every day and working with such a fun and supportive team Worst part of the job // Without a doubt having to deal with Taylor McNeil’s (Sales) annoying antics daily (can I say that? ah hell yes girl!! can’t say we disagree with you there - sorry Taylor hahahaha) What I love about living here // The amazing weather & the beach Favourite food // Spag Bol and Garlic Bread Favourite musician // I like anything besides country Top 3 travel destinations // Bali, Phuket, basically anywhere that has a good cocktail menu and warm weather
