WELCOME Welcome to our latest Issue of The Hood. Well, we cannot even comprehend what has unfolded since our last drop of The Hood, but we only need to use two words to set the scene; bushfires and COVID-19 and you guys get an immediate picture right?!! We have no words, except WTF!!!! So how is everyone coping? No argument it's been the most stressful period of life on record, but we want to reassure our readers and clients that we are here to help. That said, we couldn't be more excited for things to start returning to normal, even if it is at a snail's pace. The Stage One Coronavirus Roadmap to Recovery seen a return to face-to-face open home inspections last weekend. However, strict attendance limits apply so see Page 3 for key health guidelines. But this issue isn't all about COVID-19 recovery we do have a surprise on Page 10 which is super exciting and we have been patiently waiting to spill the beans for a little while now. HOW TO MANAGE OPEN HOME INSPECTIONS DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Key Health Guidelines Include Ensuring greater than 1.5m physical distancing Provide hand sanitiser upon entry Clean all handles and taps before and after viewings with antibacterial wipes Discourage physical contact Keep detailed contact records of people attending open homes Ensure people with any symptoms of illness do not enter the property Manage the number of people entering smaller rooms once within the home Keep access to outdoor areas open where possible Promote healthy air flow within your home by opening windows
MARKET LOWDOWN During the Coronavirus pandemic Merimbula Realty has remained focused on servicing our clients. There was a reduction in the volume of sales during this time, as expected. Yet, despite the challenging circumstances the local property market remains strong. Property values have also remained steady and the amount of buyer inquiry continues to increase with each week. Face-to-face Open Homes resume this Saturday as we return to some preCoronavirus normality. Buyer inquiry is quite enthusiastic which, we believe is a sign of positive things to come.
