1. Northern Lights Units
Objective: Desgin a mobile hospitality unit that allows guests to view the Northern Lights from their beds.

A guest zone with amenities for visitors of Iceland to visit. This includes check-in, waiting and recomposure areas as well as restroom facilities.

The dining area allows for guests to pick up small bites, or cook using the kitchen space provided.

Encapsulation of the inexpensive containers to create an ETFE warehouse created a comfortable space for visitors year-round. The pattern on the ETFE creates specific zones for Northern Lights viewing.

The guest units are made of smaller containers that are pulled out on the site by a vehicle. They each have a fire place and a restroom with a shower in addition to beds where guests can view the Northern Lights.
2. Livewell Collaborative
Objective: The Livewell Collaborative has grown out of the existing office space and is moving to a new location. Their concerns are client privacy and have needs for more collaboration.

The concept model’s reflections inspire the floating lights and high gloss epoxy floors by being what connects the office like a thread both overhead and under foot.

The plan breaks up the designated area on the floor plate into a public and private area. The private studios can be rearranged for various projects by moving writable boards.

A studio shown in use where magnetic and writable boards on casters make good work and collaboration space. All of the furniture is on casters to be easily moved from one space to another.
3. Folly
Objective: In a group of eight students, design and construct a structure at human scale utilizing the qualities of both pine and MDF.

Using vertically standing panels set at different angles. As a body moves through the path, they experience varying amounts of light passing between the panels.

4. Insertion
Objective: Create an insertion for DAAP’s Alms building for students and faculty to enjoy.

Focusing on the need for a more convenient critique space, I developed an insertion that created a review space both inside the studio and somewhere beyond the studio.

The spaces also double as a leisure space where students can take breaks from their work and enjoy the sun.
5. PDX Terminal Core ZGF Architects LLP. Summer 2018 Co-op Semester
Contributions to the schematic design phase of the Portland airport’s expansion by supporting the design process through 3D modeling, schematic design drawing sets and 2D diagramming.

Enplaning
Overall figure-ground plan studies reflect the solid and transparent masses throughout the aiport. The enplaning level has to service many of the security areas and the most trafficked restrooms in the airport.

The mezzanine level houses more private offices and a conference center. The more public areas host seating and lounge areas.

This elevation study of the bag claim area was done to express an artful approach to the space. The space the airport has for bag claim is dark and has low ceilings.

A digital art wall was an effort to bring more light and information to the passengers waiting for their bags upon arrival.

6. Airport Restaurant Chute Gerdeman Fall 2017 Co-op Semester
Develop the design intent set to 90% to issue to the contractor and architect of record. Drawings range from plans, elevations and reflected ceiling plans to casework, section details and transition details.

Fixture Drawings
Fixture Drawings: I helped to develop a new detail for the attachment of a brand fixture. The client asked if the detail could be shared with the brand to potentially become the millwork standard.

Elevations
Design Intent Drawings: This was the first project in which I was completely responsible for documenting in Revit at Chute Gerdeman. I was responsible for the entire drawing set under the ADS project lead.

Fixture & Equipment Plan
Plans would be approved following the RFP process, but I was responsible for coordinating with an equipment consultant and adjusting the plan to ensure clearances.

Finish Plan
A portion of my role at the firm included material selection and specification. The finish plans were to represent these finishes listed on the schedule that I assisted in putting together.
7. Gadgets of Desire Chute Gerdeman Fall 2017 Co-op Semester
Develop the design intent set to 90% to issue to the client. This was the first project that I was to build a shell based off of CAD drawings. I was responsible for coordinating the drawings with the designer, the first time I was in charge of this effort.

Fixture Documentation
The design’s primary focus was on the fixture design. The fixtures were a streamlined designed with adjustable shelving to host stock. It was my role to model and document these fixtures.

The first set of drawings issued to the client did not specify the strip for shelving. It was my responsibility to find a product within two days. I contacted Vitra and found the Invisible line that could be shipped from Germany to India that week.
8. Hand Rendering
A display of my drawing skills in pastels, pen and graphite. Each drawing took approximately 10 hours to complete.
