The Algona boys will lean on several returning players in hopes of having a strong 2022-23 season on the hardwood.
Last year, the Bulldogs finished with eight wins, but will need to replace their main scorers from that rotation.
Senior Simon Feucht is a returning starter, having posted 124 points, 67 rebounds, 19 assists and 23 made 3-pointers last year. Caden Weber, Landon Welp, Alex Manske, Tristin Larsen and Ben Helmers all saw ample time on the court, as well.

BULLDOG GIRLS
Expections are high around the Algona girls this winter, as they return four starters and four more letterwinners from an 11-win campaign a year ago.
Seniors Lillian Etherington, A’Lailah Perry and Tora Solbach are joined by sophomore Lauren McLaughlin in the starting lineup. They present size and scoring for head coach Noel McLaughlin.
Perry averaged eight points and eight rebounds a night, Etherington and McLaughlin each scored seven, with Solbach adding 4.6 and three assists.
“We have varsity experience and Solbach and Etherington are threeyear starters in the backcourt,” McLaughlin said. “Perry is also a threeyear starter and a returning all-North Central Conference player alongside Etherington and McLaughlin.
That included winning seven of the final eight games of the season.
Cailey Carroll, Najolie Price, Casey VanOtterloo and Paige Schmitt all saw the court a year ago. VanOtterloo averaged six points per game off the bench.
Kaitlyn Burns and Lainey Venteicher, sophomores, are key prospects bringing more size to the court for Algona.
