Three key players are back for Jason Berning and the ClarionGoldfield/Dows boys, who won a share of the North Central Conference last winter and had a deep postseason run.
Seniors Nevan Foss and Preston Gardner, along with junior Carson Nesheim, were each part of the unit. Foss is the leading returning scorer among the three.
“From the outside, it will be a rebuilding season losing 12 seniors,” Berning said. “However, we are really excited about our new group.
Berning and his coaching staff will look to senior Coy Hanson along with several juniors and sophomores to replace the production lost.
“I am really excited for guys like Nevan, Preston and Carson,” Berning said. “They have been patiently waiting for their turn and I believe they will all have fantastic seasons.
