On average we spend about 90% of our time indoors, which has resulted in an outcry for a deeper connection with nature. Lighting plays an important role in this and has inspired architects and interior designers to use nature as the framework, allowing aspects of nature to be built into the indoor environment. Considering the placement of lights and layering different types of fixtures to create the illusion of plenty of natural light is key.
