chool is starting up again, but there are still plenty of fun things planned throughout the borough! Here are some of this month’s most exciting events in Staten Island. Be sure to call ahead or visit event websites to confirm details and COVID precautions. Richmond County Fair
Westerleigh Folk Festival
Historic Richmond Town 441 Clarke Ave. The fair boasts a 3-day, 3-stage music festival featuring a variety of local talent, plus more than 100 vendors, carnival rides, delicious fair food, historic trade demonstrations, bouncy houses, games, contests, and more.
Westerleigh Park 107 Neal Dow Ave. Enjoy live music with art exhibits, crafters, pony rides, games, and face painting for kids at this free event.

80s-themed Vendors Market

Conference House Park 298 Satterlee St. It’s tune time: Join the Staten Island Philharmonic for live music at scenic Conference House Park.
Hampton Inn and Suites 1120 South Ave. Do your hair up big and don some neon colors! It’s time for an all-out 1980s-inspired shopping event. Pick up something unique for yourself or a loved one while supporting small businesses from the community.
Revolutionary War Living History Event
1776 Peace Conference Celebration
Historic Richmond Town 441 Clarke Ave. Step back in time to Staten Island’s revolutionary past at this living history program. Historians will be on-site throughout the village to demonstrate military drills and historic skills. Demos of hearth cooking and blacksmithing will also be featured and select buildings from the colonial period will be open for exploration.
Conference House Park 298 Satterlee St. Join the Conference House for the 245th anniversary commemoration and historical re-enactment of the Sept. 11, 1776 Peace Conference. There will be interactive outdoor museum displays and demonstrations. (Rain date: Sept. 19)
Hudson River Boat Tour
Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC 1466 Manor Road This free outdoor festival will feature inflatables, carnival games and prizes, fall crafts and activities, a live performance by Honeychild Band at 2pm, sports and fitness samplers, music demos (pre-registration required), and photo opportunities. Food will be available for purchase. More information at sijcc.org.

National Lighthouse Museum 200 The Promenade at Lighthouse Point Set sail for fun! Join the National Lighthouse Museum for a boat tour of the Hudson River up to the Tappan Zee Bridge.
