The soothing and mellow music can calm any nerves behind the wheel and is a strong recommendation from this car and truck guy to anyone else who appreciates classic rock at its best.

Songs Written by “ETCH” The Cruisin’ Season may be ending, but the music

still plays on with my TOP 10 Cruisin’ Songs.

#1 RADAR LOVE (1974) Golden Earing- With that finger tapping beat and lyrics that begin with, “I’ve been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel”, RADAR LOVE is the number one song on my Top 10 Cruising Song List. This is the perfect song for those long summer night cruises with the one that you love sitting by your side with the windows down and the stereo cranked up to maximum volume. This song is very well known for its cruising classic lyrics and music. #2 STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU (1973) Stealers Wheel - With a Bob Dylan musical style along with a Gerry Rafferty and Joe Egan look and feel, this song gives the listener that soft touch cruising song written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller and you just can’t help but join in with the lyrics, “Clown’s to the left of me, joker’s to the right, here I am .... stuck in the middle with you.” #3 “LET’S GO!!” (1979) The Cars - “Let’s Go!” is from The Cars second album, CANDY-O and includes the world’s greatest pause in a song ever, “She says ..... Let’s go!” and it makes this song work for any cruising music selection. The Cars made several cruising songs on their albums and this band was one of my favorites to pop the 8-Track into the GTO and go for a summer time cruise to the ocean to get away. #4 LAYLA (1972) Derek and the Dominos - Eric Clapton was epic with this song and it is one of my personal favorites. This is one of the best classic songs of all time and the extended instrumental is perfect for those long summer time cruises

#5 AUTHORITY SONG (1984) John Mellencamp - Love this steering wheel thumping song along with the drum beats and wailing guitar licks. This song has a great melody along with defiant sing-along lyrics and a badass attitude. This song would be perfect for the OUTLAW RUN Movie soundtrack and the attitude alone makes this a great cruising song while driving along any highway. #6 MEXICAN RADIO (1982) Wall of Voodoo - This song might not sound like a cruising song to some, but it is tough to not start tapping your fingers on the steering wheel and shifter knob while you accelerate down any US dirt, or back road. This song has a great rhythm and beat to the music and is perfect for those dusty roadways from Maine to California. #7 GET OUT OF DREAMS, GET INTO MY CAR (1988) Billy Ocean - This song is also a great cruising song even if it is a little bit on the commercial side of the album. Could even be determined to be a bit crass to some, but when it comes to dropping the convertible top and slow cruising within the city limits under all of those street lights and neon lights this makes for a great cruising song with that someone special under your right arm.

READERS RIDES BILLY’S 1996 CHEVY K1500 CHEYENNE

JENNIFER “TRUCK GIRL” GAUTHIER This 1996 Chevy K1500 Cheyenne Pick-up truck is not only for show but also a work horse. It has a rebuilt motor and transmission, new transfer case, frame, and chassis have been completely redone. The rebuilt motor has about 30k miles and on the odometer has about 170k miles. Overall the truck is clean and has been done over. The engine is super quiet and has no problems starting up. He uses this truck to plow with in the winter and brings it to cruises and truck meets in the summer. The owner Billy decorated this truck to look edgy which makes it stand out with the spikes everywhere on the mirrors, bug deflector, tail lights, tail gate, and bumper. It sits on 22” pinnacle rims which looks great on this truck and he has stock 16” rims with snow tires for the winter months. This truck goes just about anywhere and the owner takes pride in his truck. Overall the truck is very clean inside and out. It’s nicknamed Frankenstein for its green color and edgy appeal. The owner plans to continue to work on his truck and make it his own, just how he likes it. He states its only 90% done. Well you know what they say “A man’s work is never done”

BOYS OF SUMMER JIM WEICHERDING When the weather is warmer and the sunshine seems to never end you can be sure of one thing; The BOYS OF SUMMER are out and about in their classic cars and trucks and showcasing them at car shows and cruise nights across the region. Sadly, for most of us, that season is quickly coming to an end. There isn’t a day that goes by during the summer months, weather permitting, that you won’t see these classic and showcase vehicles driving on our roadways enjoying the cruisin’ season. The best part of seeing these beautiful rides when I am out working for MOTORHEAD MAGAZINE and distributing the issues at area car shows and cruise nights to our loyal readers and fans is the variety of rides and the colors that their owners choose to be a part of their vehicles scheme and overall finished look. Granted, some of these classic vehicles and showcase vehicles are purchased the way they are shown at car shows, but there are many of us, (I am building a 1969 Pontiac GTO based upon my book and magazine series, OUTLAW RUN), that restore and build their rides the way

that they want and not the way the previous owner wanted that ride to appear and sound on the roadways and showcased at car venues. Some of the photos featured on this page show the classic rides I see

frequently at area car shows and cruise nights and some photos are from the very first time I ever laid eyes on them. The classic red pick up truck and the slick black hot rod are first time showcases but the yellow truck I see at area car shows

and cruise nights regularly. I own the black Chevy truck and use that vehicle to display my traffic safety billboard at car shows and cruise nights to remind kids and families to wear seatbelts and drive safely. Putting the cartoon character behind the wheel of a 1954 Chevy Convertible painted Chevy Orange just seems to work and gets a lot of attention at these venues all through the car show season. MOTORHEAD MAGAZINE is available at many of these car show and cruise night venues and the BOYS OF SUMMER can’t seem to get enough of the issues I pass out every single month. The magazine cover is flipped open to the pages inside before the reader is even five feet away form picking one up at the tailgate on my truck. More often than not, these same individuals come back for more copies of the issue because the one that they were reading when waling away from my truck were confiscated by someone else who came to the car show and cruise night with them. When the host car show and cruise night DJ announces again, and again on their loud speakers that I am on site with more copies of MOTORHEAD MAGAZINE and Coloring Books for the kids, the line builds and the spectators flock to my truck before the copies are all gone for that particular event. The BOYS OF SUMMER are a great

Vehicles must be able to past the track’s technical inspection for safety and proper operation. Per NHRA RulesApproved vehicles must be registered, insured, street-legal vehicles with mufflers and street tires and limited to 10 seconds and slower. Anytime you speak about High Performance Fords in New England, you can’t help but bring up the Tasca family, who has their hand in quite a few aspects of selling, modifying and racing Mustangs. So when NH Mustang Club President Rick LaCourse asked if I’d be interested in helping with the TASCA Car Show at New England Dragway, I happily volunteered to show up Saturday morning, August 15th, to assist in the set up and judging of the show. I’ve attended the show before and I’ve always enjoyed it, based on the wide variety of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury Performance cars. New England Dragway’s Debbie Clark and Ron Heath did a fantastic job accommodating, and made sure we had tables, chairs, trophies and all the supplies necessary to pull of the event.

ROCKIN’ ROBIN & LUCKY LINDA

By ANONYMOUS

We attend a lot of cruise nights and one thing I notice is that there are not a lot of wives or girlfriends that go to these events. When you get to talk to the guys they will tell you that their wives or girlfriends are not really car people. Well in my case my wife is a car nut and likes Chevy’s in particular. So what do we do but get her a 1941 Chevy Coupe. After a long search we found one in Massachusetts. It was a nice looking driver and she thought we could use it and not have to do a lot of work on it. The car was painted a bright red (read that restoration red), I should have known right then and there. It had the generic 350 motor and 350 transmission with a 10 bolt rear end. Well, as luck would have it, the first day that we picked up the car, we stopped for gas, and found out that we had a dead battery. Thanks to AAA we were on our way. The car was used through the summer and during that time a bunch of other problems popped up their ugly head. The next problem was wheel balance. I was told that the True Spoke wire wheels could never be balanced, not true. Bob Costa of Smithfield took care of that problem. But he pointed out that we needed ball joints and tie rod ends Next we noticed that the intake manifold was an old style, so we replaced it with a new Edelbrock Durashine cross plain and rebuilt the Edelbrock 650 carburetor. The bride then says she wants power steering. Thank goodness we already had

power disc brakes. So out comes the old Mustang manual rack and in with a new power unit. I think she must have had trouble parking at the nail salon. Don’t let her know I said that.

After a front end alignment from Bob Costa we were on our way to the Syracuse Nationals. Traveling on I-90 one of the rear tires gave it up. The band that is inside every spoked wheel let go. Quick change and the donut spare goes on. I was thinking that the other wheels would not be safe while at the nationals, thus I bought a set of Camaro IROC wheels. I had them put on at a Pep Boys and we are safe to drive around Syracuse and our trip home. The Bride says that she doesn’t like the IROC wheels, but honey they are Chevy wheels. No good; they have to go. While we were at the Turkey Rod show in Daytona, FL she starts going through the vendors. Next thing I know we are headed home with a set of Torque Thrust mags. By the way, they look great on the car. Okay we are good now and on our way

to the NSRA show in York, PA. Not so fast kids. The car quits and she is on her way home on a flat bed. God I love AAA. Our friend Terry steps in and after checking the distributor and carb and a bunch of other stuff. Low and behold he finds out that the original builders had left the original fuel gauge float in the tank and the cork had rotted and was being sucked into the fuel line and killing the car. Enough is enough—Put the car up for the winter and give it a total pat down. And now a new

wiring kit, flat glass, and new seats from a 3 series BMW have been installed. The summer of 2015 we are on the road again. I think that by the time we sell this car the new owners will have a great ride and never have a problem. The moral of the story is: If your wife says she likes the car shows and would like to have her own hot rod, don’t do it!!!!!! Buy her a new car. The adventure continues!!!

ALPINE AUTO BODY Excellence for Half a Century JOEL FRENGER Alpine Auto Body is a family run business nestled between Broadway and Westminster Street and is located just outside the heart of Providence. Originally opened by Raymond Sr. in 1959, the Buco family has been servicing their customers for over 55 years. During that time they’ve seen many changes to the area and the current owner Ray Jr. smiles when he mentions that the neighborhood has “cleaned up a bit” since the new Providence police station opened less than a block away… The first thing you notice when pulling up to Alpine Auto Body is how impeccably well kept the place is. The unblemished white facade stands out like a beacon amongst the brick buildings and neutral colored tenements that pepper the neighborhood’s streets. As you enter through the main garage, it’s impossible not to note how spotless the work bays are and that everything is in its right place. So too is the office, and you can tell right away that Ray Jr. is a stickler for perfection and expects the same from his employees When asked how he got involved in the business, Ray Jr. laughs stating that he’d started kicking around the shop watching his dad when he was just a young boy. After graduating in ‘79, the

Jay Pjojian’s Immaculate SVT CO

young Raymond went immediately to work right out of high school. When plied further with the question of whether or not he was “dragged” into the family business, he considers for a moment and says that no, he’s always enjoyed the work and has never regretted his decision to maintain the family business. Moreover, it seems that this tradition will continue. Ray’s son, Raymond III, is following his dad’s example where he too started full-time right out of high school. Now 23, he’s found his niche in the business and has become an accomplished auto body painter in his own right. The elder Buco smiles with evident pride while thinking about his son and says, “That kid was a born pro”.

Alpine Auto Body gets the majority of its business through insurance claims. Ray Jr. has managed to secure many corporate accounts (a police cruiser can be spied conspicuously parked hood up, along a far wall) and he relies almost entirely on word of mouth for all of his other business. That business is good and it’s easy to see why. The team over at Alpine uses only the most stateof-the-art equipment and they employ a water-based painting system that does not require any solvents be used. So efficiently is the business run, quite often a customer can drop off and pick up their vehicle in the same day. As for the quality of work, a look at some of the completed

vehicles exhibits an excellence in craftsmanship and superlative attention to detail. If there are any imperfections anywhere, they are certainly not apparent to the untrained eye.

Alpine Auto Body and the Buco family have been in business for a long time and it’s no wonder when you consider the excellence with which its business is conducted. It seems a sure thing that they’ll be in business for another 50 years but one must suppose that this outcome would rely greatly on the younger Raymond…

JENNIFER “TRUCK GIRL” GAUTHIER Have you ever seen the movie about the car named Christine? This nerdy teenage boy named Arnie buys this beat up 1958 Plymouth Fury from this old man against everyone’s wishes. Arnie develops this cocky arrogance after buying and falling in love with the car himself. He restores her and dates the most popular girl in school. Turns out the car has a mind of its own and is jealous of his relationship. Christine turns out to be a serial killer from the assembly line. The car goes on a killing spree and seeks revenge when these punk kids try and destroy her. The name Fury is kind of fitting for Christine, the serial killer car. It’s only fitting to see Christine in the graveyard. Since that’s where everyone goes after they get in her for a ride. Chris Gregelvich is the proud owner of Christine. This is his third Plymouth Fury he has owned. He said this one is in the best shape and he has major plans for her. The plans are to paint her the same red color as the movie. He even found the lady who did the interior for the movie and had her send him the last of the fabric to do the interior of the car. Just 16| Motorhead Magazine - October 2015

Ford vs CheVY SHOOTOUT Viking Motorsports hosts the 2nd Annual “Battle of the Brands”

ED YESSAIAN Since the introduction of the F-Body twins in 1967, the battle between Good and Evil has raged on for nearly 50 years now. While both platforms went through an occasional hiccup, in my own opinion, the two best generations were the 60’s and today. Although I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s with Fox-Body Mustangs and IROC-Z Camaro’s, this current generation of both the Camaro and Mustang represent true 60’s muscle car personality and performance better than any preceding generation ever. While Mustang owners will tease that the Camaro took a short hiatus from 2002-2010, the return of the Camaro reignited the rivalry in a fashion that even 80’s and 90’s cars could not. With the 2015 models of each car turning out well over 400hp right out of the box, not to mention Shelby versions of the Mustangs and ZL-1 Camaro’s, it’s safe to say that the Muscle car has truly returned with a vengeance. But in this day and age, the streets are far too congested, law enforcement is a lot stricter, and insurance premiums are through the roof. So, while many still “stretch their legs” on the street, many are also turning back to the dragstrips for some

great event. From top to bottom there was a class to fit almost any car or truck, and at the end of it all, here are the few that stood tall in the winner’s circle… Street Class- This was an awesome class, and definitely had the best turnout. One of our local favorites George Goodwin (from NED Street Eliminator) would face another great NED personality Steve George in a tight battle. At the end it would

good old fashioned weekend fun. That is where Scott Erickson of Viking Motorsports stepped in, this time last year, and introduced the first ever “Ford vs Chevy” Shootout. While Erickson’s crew consists of a handful of 8 and 9 second Mustangs, they welcome competition in any form. Of course it was only natural that he would set up an annual event that brings back the old rivalry in a fun, family oriented manner. The event itself, for 2015 consisted of four fullsized car classes and two Junior Dragster classes. Added the juniors to the mix was an awesome gesture on the Erickson’s part, because it really reinforced the “family oriented” nature of this

be Goodwin’s 1980 Camaro with the win. Modified Class- This was the other class that certainly packed the house. Throughout the day

Junior Dragster B- Alex Erickson (Scott’s youngest son) may have been the host of the party but that didn’t stop him from claiming victory in the Junior Dragster B division. It featured the two nicest kids you could ever meet- Chantel Gaboriault and Cam Murray. At the end of it all it would be Cam Murray in the winner’s circle, standing proudly with little brother Kyle who will be carrying the torch in juniors for the Murray family. At the conclusion of this year Cam will be moving on to Pro Eliminator in a full sized car. Chantel could quite possibly be defending the 2015 Junior Dragster A Points Championship as the seasonAuto is coming Bodyto a close and she pretty much has the Championship in hand.

THE FRANKENSTE AMERICAN RAT RODS

Written by “ETCH”

Robert Williams is a well known Pop Art and Low Brow artist best known for his creation of the HOT ROD RACE and APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION painting for the cover of the band Guns ‘N Roses album with the same name. He had already made a name for himself with Juxtapoz Magazine and was also the art director for many years with Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and continued to create paintings featuring Hot Rods and the Kustom Car Culture. Williams owned several hot rods over the years and decided that he wanted to build a hot rod similar to the hot rods he had seen when he was growing up in his own neighborhood. Most of the vehicles had simple car colors of various primers an aggressive stance that wasn’t too lowered or channeled. They also featured minor engine modifications and clean body lines. They were also loud and could be heard roaring up down the block every single day. The owners were mostly teens with a limited budget and these hot rods were never quite finished rides but nobody seemed to care too much. They were in reality, more than likely, the unknown start of the now Rat Rod Craze but they did not know it yet. Over the past two decades the largest craze in the world of hot rods are the now the ever present American Rat Rods we see today roaming our blacktop roadways and seen rolling into area car shows and cruise nights. Hot Rods built in this style have been dubbed as Rat Rods because they are mostly exaggerated 50’s rides that are intentionally unfinished and many of their parts are taken off of many other Hot Rods and thrown together in the owners own fashion and likes. The Rat Rod comes in many backyard mechanic looks and feels and their taste in this style of machinery is displayed in each one built on a fixed budget by those that love hot rodding but do not

have the big bucks it takes to build the high dollar 40’s, 50’s and 60’s Street Rods. Most actually prefer their own rusted and strangely built Rat Rods over the big dollar built Hot Rods.

with skulls and flames as accent pieces and molded body parts. The grills are customized with all types of designs and graphics to get the owners vision expressed in one way, or another.

Many argue that the Rat Rod History began back in 1972 with the low budget feature car displayed on the cover of Rod & Custom Magazine. Others argue that the term Rat Rod was first written by Gray Baskerville when he used the term to describe a 1932 roadster painted in primer in the alpha car publication, HOT ROD MAGAZINE. There are plenty of arguments that claim that there were others in the automotive industry that dubbed the term Rat Rod but we all know by reading the Rod & Custom and Hot Rod Magazines that both articles do feature the words “Rat Rods” to describe those featured rides in print and are hard to dispute.

Rat Rodders are a breed of car enthusiasts all on their own. They love the dark side of cruisin’ and they have their own car culture with cool images and brooding themes with many dark images. Artwork for this car culture features skulls, flames, badass rats and an almost gothic feel to it that is not compared to any other car culture in todays automotive industry platforms.

Plenty of the Rat Rods of today are unfinished in appearance with simple interiors and minor engine modifications but there are those that have taken the Rat Rod to extremes with blown motors, sick looking exhaust pipes reaching for the heavens, fantastic modifications and features that appear to be devilish in form and fashion

This Rat Rod Culture is so big today that even a focal point car magazine features nothing but this content in their publication. The very popular RAT ROD MAGAZINE published in Minnesota and available every month on retail store shelves nationwide is a perfect example of where this car culture is going and how it continues to evolve and grow with car enthusiasts everywhere. This writer and artist has even been featured in this national magazine last year, and is also featured in the current issue for my custom etched glass and showcase mirrors featuring Rat Rod Art & Culture Graphics and Designs. I strongly recommend visiting their web site if you are a Rat Rod Enthusiast, or may just be curious about this car culture in general. www.ratrodmagazine.com.

EIN OF HOT RODS BLAST FROM THE PAST Frenchie’s 1925 Rat Rod

By Lauryn “Hotwheels” Pontiac-Vernancio

The leaves are slowly changing color, and Autumn has finally come forward in it’s band to pursue the changing of the seasons. It made perfect sense to find vehicles that fit the ultimate assumption of Fall and “Halloween colors” to add to this month’s edition. In particular, we ran into a ghastly vehicle that reminded of times past, or more like a “Blast From The Past” and had a slight ghoulish appearance. We were thoroughly introduced to Roland Doble’s 1925 Ford Rat Rod Mobile. Roland’s Rat Rod gave the “Frankenstein” appearance as many of the items creating the vehicle were a custom fit. This included a 1947 Chevrolet rear end that was mounted onto split Model A wishbones and sat on Model T Springs. The steering itself was even a custom build considering it has a gearbox system coming from a 1965 Mustang, and the rear end also proudly pronounced Ford with an 8.8 differential set up out of a later Explorer. The engine was ultimately powered by a small block Chevrolet 350 with an

Edelbrock 600CFM carburetor and an HEI ignition system. This was driven in front of a 700R4 transmission with 3.73 which gives a pleasurable ride while breaking 150mph on the highway without an issue. Mr. Doble was proud to call this creation his own, and he had also stated that he had been wrenching since the age of thirteen, with his first build being a 1935 Ford with a

Hemi. It seems like Rat Rods are not a thing of the past in Roland’s future as they continue to be his passion for custom builds, and we hope to see more of this ride as he travels throughout New England during the end of car show season.

Fervid Fiend: The Ferrari 488 GTB LAURYN “HOTWHEELS” PONTIAC-VERNANCIO Throughout the month of September, we have been looking for vehicles to roll in our October issue that are ghoulish, charismatic, and downright scary. What could be scary enough to have a total time slot of speed at a mere 0 to 100 km/h

(62.1371 mph) in 3 seconds flat? The Ferrari 488 GTB of course! What is this “GTB” you ask? A “GTB” is shortened for “Gran Turismo Berlinetta” which

is assembled in Maranello, Italy and launched in the early months of 2015. This model was taken from Ferrari’s experience in both F1 and GT racing

to which its more previous model (the 458) holds the WEC title and has won its category in two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This fierce stallion holds a 3902cc (3.9L V8) engine and provides zero turbo lag with dual parallel ball-bearing twin-scroll turbochargers (by IHI,

jet manufacturer in Japan) and two air-to-air intercoolers. The mechanical efficiency behind it is simple, it holds an oil pump that supplies oil at either high or low pressure and the cylinder heads with roller finger followers greatly reduce the power taken by the valve train as large as ten percent at lower revs due to reduced friction. To make this track-designed vehicle more humble on the road side of things, Ferrari fine tuned their vehicle dynamics to better appease their consumers. Their Subsystem and Electronic Control Management focuses on direct maximum throttle response between the accelerator and total control with their general response time being (0.06 seconds) comparable to that of the ideal track car. Their enhanced added Brembo extreme braking system makes stop times a whole nine percent shorter than their previous 458 model as well.

Aerodynamics in this ride are none short as they are derived from Maranello’s experience on the track producing more downforce without ultimately increasing drag. Downforce is actually 50 percent higher on this model as the front of the car is dominated by the Central Air Pillar and an F-1 inspired double spoiler which boost efficiency of both the radiator and downforce generation. The underbody incorporates vortex generators which are specially curved sections that accelerate air by reducing pressure. This means that the car’s underbody is pushed down to the ground and downforce is increased but drag is not. It can be concluded with these special features that this ride is definitely scary both on and off the track. With previous encouragement from the rarities of models before it, the Ferrari 488 GTB can be both alluring but dangerous. With its beautifully possessive force and maximum performance, this intriguing fiend can aim to please even the most timid connoisseurs.

For the 2014 season Brian Khoury had a pretty impressive showing, including some big wins down south. I asked him to rattle off a few of his favorites and these were the highlights that came to mind… 1. 2. 3.

Runner- up at the Epping National event in 2014 in Super Gas Won the Super Bucks Blast $10,000 at South Georgia Motorsports Park Finished 3rd in the New England Dragway points in 2014.

And according to Karri, he has also finished top 10 for the last 4 years. In addition to his own accomplishments, Brian’s oldest son Eric Khoury did extremely well in Junior Dragsters , finishing 8th overall and consistently finishing the top ten. 2015 will definitely be an exciting year for the whole family with Brian continuing to progress in the truck, Karri running the truck and her Mustang, Eric running very well in Juniors, and youngest son Christopher jumping into a Junior dragster for the first time this year as well. If ever there was a perfect racing family, I would have to say it was the Khoury’s!!

TRICKS ARE FOR KIDS JIM WEICHERDING Dennis loves his newly rebuilt street rod and is very excited to get it home and show all the neighbors his new ride. He drives his pick up truck to the classic restoration garage that just rebuilt his street rod. As he drives along the streets of his neighborhood he admires all of the Halloween decorations on display at the houses along the way. Dennis also sees children running around the streets wearing their costumes and playing in their yards. He smiles and continues on his way to pick up his newly rebuilt street rod. He turns on his stereo and hears “Monster Mash” playing from his favorite oldies radio station and turns it up loud. The big four wheel truck rumbles down the busy streets and catches everyone’s attention. All of a sudden an egg splatters across the windshield of his truck and Dennis slams on his brakes in an attempt to try and see who threw the object at his window. He sees a group of teenagers running down the alley laughing and pointing back at him. He is furious! He cannot chase the teens because he has to meet the garage owner at 5pm to pick up his street rod before they close for a vacation week. Dennis wants his ride for an upcoming car show on Saturday in Massachusetts. He cannot be late.

Dennis puts on his windshield wipers and washer fluid to remove the egg and can only remove some of the contents from his view. “I have got to get my street rod before that garage closes!” He finally enters the garage parking lot and sees his gorgeous car parked under the parking lots lights. He parks his truck on the sidewalk and meets the garage owner next to his street rod. After some banter and going through the vehicle’s high points, Dennis hands the garage owner a check and is given the keys to his ride. The men shake hands and Dennis enters his street rod and turns the key.

Dennis backs out of his driveway and sets out to try and find the teens to have a little chit chat about respect and consideration for others and their property. Moments later, a series of eggs are tossed hard at his street rod and splatter all over the new paint job. Dennis becomes angry and starts chasing the teens with his street rod down the middle of the street. They are running and screaming for

The street rod cruises back through the neighborhoods as costumed kids and adults make their way from house to house in effort to obtain as much candy as possible in just one evening. Dennis can finally see his home from the end of the street and starts to relax a little bit knowing he has dodged a bullet with those neighborhood teens and their egg tosses at vehicles traveling in the area for their amusement. When he finally arrives at his home he sees eggs splattered all over his house and garage with toilet paper tossed across his tree limbs and stops in the driveway and shakes his head from side to side in disgust. “Damned teens! They do this to me every

their lives as he hits one, then another, leaving bodies strewn all over the neighborhood covered in blood and barely alive. He drives his street rod from one side of the street to the other, even jumping a curb to mow down a teen with two eggs in his hands running on the sidewalk. He runs over the young man dragging his body for a block before pulling back onto the street. Costume wearing kids and adults are watching the horror take place and run screaming all over the neighborhood in fear and panic. Dennis catches up to the last teen scrambling around to try and stay alive and puts the gas pedal to the floor while aiming the street rod directly at him. “Take this you screaming speed bump!” Dennis plows his street rod into the teen and pins him against a big tree at the end of the block killing him instantly. He is knocked unconscience in the process. He feels somebody’s hand rubbing on his shoulder. “Hey buddy. Here’s the keys to your car,” says the custom and classic car restoration garage owner. “Sorry you had to wait for it to be ready, but that part arrived later than I expected. Good thing you waited because we are closing for a week for vacation and you’d hafta wait until then to pick it up.” Dennis is soon alert from his nap and looks at the garage owner. In a stern and straightforward voice he says, “Keep it here until then. I am NOT taking this Street Rod Chevy home on Halloween Night!” THE END

‘61 By Richard Kingsbury Back in 1968, I sold my blue ‘63 Jaguar XKE for $500.00 because it needed a clutch, which back then cost about $500 to replace. I bought my ‘61 Corvette for $1,700, which was gold with a black cove. Everything was original except the paint. It had a 283 cubic inch solid lifter motor with 230 horsepower, a posi-traction rear end and a Stone Crusher 4 speed transmission. In 1975, during the gas crisis (where

28| Motorhead Magazine - October 2015

people were waiting in lines with 20+ cars to get gas), I had gone on a short trip to Boston to see a concert. Since I didn’t have enough gas to make it home that night, I spent the night at a friend’s apartment on Newbury Street and woke up the next day to find my leather jacket and four original hubcaps stolen. Now I decided to buy four new Mickey Thomson (now called Crager) mags. In 1976, I had a cheap paint job done to get rid of the gold and black color scheme. I decided to go with the original Ermine white with

a satin silver for the cove. Reminiscing back to the year 1979, I was returning home from a beautiful day at Scarborough Beach when a Narraganset cop had pulled me over and issued a ticket for speeding. Ten minutes later, a RI state trooper pulled me over for speeding. When the state trooper issued me my second speeding ticket, he noticed the first ticket sitting on the dashboard. He asked, “Did you just get that ticket?” I replied, “Yup.” He grinned and said, “You should’ve told me! I would’ve let this one slide.”

After all the speeding tickets and cop encounters came marriage and children. I married my wife, Karleen and had two children, my son, Ricky in 1980 and my daughter, Ashley (modeling in the pictures above) in 1983. They had a phrase saying, “Nothing’s faster than the white Vette”. We took many family cruises in the Vette until I decided it was time to paint the car correctly in 1990. I took it to Rounds Auto Body in Scituate. There the Vette was completely disassembled and took almost

two years to complete the paint job and reassembly of the car. I had rechromed both front and rear bumpers, the grill, license plate brackets, eyebrows, etc. I had installed a new dash pad, sun visors, recovered the seats and replaced the carpeting. Fast forward to 2010, the 283 is getting a bit tired. I had contacted my friend, John Conti. His friend, Bobby Russo had sold me his 400 block/377 cubic inch stroker motor. From there, John, his two talented sons, John Jr. and James, as well as his daughter, Kayla (doing the total prep in the engine compartment-including all fiberglassing, priming and top coating) began the build of the engine. Internals included:balanced rotating assembly, forged pistons, all bearing clearances and ring end gaps set. Cylinder heads were given a five angle valve job after passing magniflux tests, with port to bowl blending. The exhaust system was also configured in 304 stainless steel from the header collectors to the tailpipes, with 3/8” flanged connections/no gaskets, all tig welded. Driving the Vette with so much more horsepower was very exciting for me. The only problem was trying to steer the new machine. I brought it back to John for a front end conversion. He designed and custom fabricated support strut brackets to locate the “Chassisworks” A-arm Street Machine Suspension, allowing proper ride height, caster, near stock wheel base and fender to tire clearances to all be correct. Steering shaft routing required custom left header fabrication for a direct low U-joint angle approach from the column to the rack. Black powder coated a-arms, custom spindles and OEM style outer tie rods with a 33” power steering rack, anti roll bar and coilovers, eliminate any bump steer, yet provide comfortable ride quality with good handling characteristics. Ventilated front disc brakes with four piston “Wilwood” calipers enhance stopping power. Now, it’s 2015 and I am driving what seems to be a brand new Corvette that handles like a dream. It’s as fast as I’d like it to be and I have yet to receive any more speeding tickets. Fashion Model: Ashley Kingsbury

GIRL POWER!! KAYLEE GENUALDO AND CHANTEL GABORIAULT ARE YOUR 2015 JUNIOR DRAGSTER CHAMPIONS

ED YESSAIAN As the years have gone by, I’ve seen quite a few of the New England Dragway Juniors grow up, right before my eyes. With the program now allowing kids as young as five years old, it’s been an amazing experience for me to see the children progress

through the ranks then onto full size cars. It has also been extremely rewarding for me to meet so many incredible families that reinforce good old fashioned family values through quality time together and a shared interest. With most of the kids in the Junior Dragster division, it is pretty safe to say that almost all of their parents are racers as well. This year for 2015, both Division A and B Champions come from a pretty extensive racing backgrounds, so it’s

34| Motorhead Magazine - October 2015

going to be awesome when I eventually see them in full sized cars! For now both of these young ladies still have some time left to enjoy their Junior Dragsters, but the way they are going, it’s going to be pretty intimidating to have to face one of these superstars… Kaylee Genualdo- Kaylee comes from a pretty big racing family that includes her mother Joy ripping up Street Eliminator in her Camaro Z28 and her Dad Artie who also campaigns a bow-tie in the form of a Monte Carlo SS. Her older sister Nicole has been seen terrorizing the boys in her Mitsubishi EVO, and her brother Kyle is having tremendous success in theJunior dragster A division, where he has finished TOP 10, almost every season. This is Kaylee’s 2nd season in the Junior Dragster B division and she had a very successful rookie year in 2014. With quite a few impressive first season runs, Kaylee even ran away with her first WALLY in her very first major event last year. For 2015 Kaylee had six Runner-up finishes and four victories, which gave her the 2015 Junior Dragster B Championship by a long shot. Chantel Gaboriault- Chantel has become New England Dragway’s version of America’s Sweetheart. Always extremely polite and well-mannered, you would never know what you’re in for once she puts on the

helmet and gloves. With the incredible success she has enjoyed in just the past couple of years, it wouldn’t surprise me if she someday outshines even the FORCE girls, in the world of drag racing. Chantel definietly comes from a racing family, as her dad Dennis campaigns a pretty impressive Shelby Mustang. She started Juniors at a very young age and in the last couple seasons has been virtually unstoppable. Even when she does not have the home field advantage, she is still deadly on the tree and takes no prisoners, as she clearly displayed in Lebanon Valley with her 2013 WALLY win. In 2014 Chantel took the first ever Charity Challenge Junior Dragster Championship and was runner-up at Charity Challenge for 2015. Her successes continued in 2015 with a final five finish at the divisional race and two overall victories during Points events, including a win in the final week that guaranteed her the 2015 Championship. Chantel has one more year in Juniors, and hopes to have back to back Champion-

ships before moving on to full-sized cars. Hopefully she’ll grab a Mustang like her Dad, but no matter what she chooses, it’s going to be pretty scary to have to face her in either Street or pro Eliminator.

SHARK ATTACK!! ED YESSAIAN

DAN CAISSIE’S 1987 “LAND SHARK” MUSTANG

There are a few guys at New England Dragway that are pretty quiet, they’re loved by all, and you don’t really realize just how often they win and how good they really are. Dan Caissie is one of those guys that just shows up, week after week, sends us all back onto

Dan’s 500+ runs per year. Front suspension is made up of PA racing’s K-Member, QA1 struts, and Aerospace brakes. Rear Suspension is a Wild Rides package with UPR anti-roll bar and QA1 shocks. Strange 40 spline axles and center section transfer the power to the pavement. Dan also mentioned on multiple occasions that he is sponsored by Broadway

3 big wins in rental cars, all three while on vacation at different tracks. In 2014 he won an Import race, with a rental, at Music City Raceway in Tennessee. Later that year he also won TRUE STREET at the NMRA event in Bradenton, Florida with a rented 6 cylinder Mustang. In 2015 he won the same NMRA event with another rental, this time a 2015 Mustang that ran dead on his dial, 15.00 on a

15.00 dial. With that victory Dan became the first to win an NMRA event in a 2015 Mustang.

UsedTire (www.BroadwayUsedTires.com) and Broadway supplies the 28x11.50 Mickey Thompsons that help him stick to the track. Dan’s fastest pass is a 10.70 @ 125mph but he isn’t really focused as much on speed as he is on consistency. His first official win was in July of 2009 but he now has 47 total victories since then. From the previously mentioned 500+ passes this season, he has won 15 out of 17 FINAL rounds, as well as dozens of rounds in both Street Eliminator and PRO ET. My favorite “Dan Caissie Fact” is that he has our trailers, but NEVER, EVER brags or makes another competitor feel bad. Don’t get me wrong, he will never GIVE away a race, but I’ve never heard him make excuses or be a poor sport on the rare occasion he isn’t successful. Dan and the “Land Shark” Mustang force you to be on you’re A Game, and surpisingly, the car is just a simple “budget build” combination that seems to work. The actual shell of the car surprisingly was a $700.00 eBay find that Dan picked up with the help of his brother Jim. The heart of the beast is a Ford 460 whose short block was acquired for a mere 50.00. Ron Boule helped clean up the block and added Edelbrock heads, and intake along with a custom cam. Ron was also responsible for custom fabrication on a handful of other underhood goodies. The transmission is a Ford C6 built by Gregoire Performance and made to handle 40| Motorhead Magazine - October 2015

At his home tracks of Lebanon Valley and New England Dragway, Dan also had a tremendous amount of success in 2015. He won Street Eliminator Championships at both tracks for 2015 and was also in the top 5 for ET PRO. During the Night of Fire show he claimed a WALLY in the Top 8 Race, and was equally successful during TASCA’s Ford Fest, winning both the Street Ford and Quick Ford classes. During a TASCA sponsored “King of the Hill”, Dan grabbed a victory on the evening of July 24th, 2015. Prior to that Dan had won the first ever (and only one ever)-ED’Bachelor Party Shootout for Motorhead’s Ed Yessaian. As you read through his seemingly endless list of accomplishments and victories, it’s just amazing what a gracious winner he truly is. Dan credits his love for the sport, his home tracks, and his racing family for making him who he is today.

We can only hope that Mother Nature spares us from more than we can handle this winter and that our spring will be milder and sunnier with very little rain this year. Too many years in the recent past, we all have been dealing with rainy and cold weather until we are almost into summer season. I am sure that most of the readers reading this article right now would love nothing more than to be driving in their classic cars and trucks on nice clean blacktop roadways across New England instead of trying to manage slick, snow and ice covered roadways.

HOT ROD MAGAZINE’S DRAG WEEK 2015

DAVE McCLAIN

I was lucky enough to be able to sneak away for a week to attend this year’s event. Drag Week is a demanding 5 drag strip tour in 5 days which puts “Street Cars” thru a grinding 1000+ mile tour. The vehicles must be registered and insured street driven vehicles. The participating cars must complete the tour and race at each drag strip and hand in time slips daily. They are allowed to tow a small trailer, but additional support vehicles

are not allowed. The driver and passenger are allowed to work on the car at any time during the event. Drag Week started on Sept 14th at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, IL. The first day some pretty awesome numbers were laid down from some of the cars in the Unlimited Class. Jeff Lutz’s Pro-Mod Camaro ran a 6.005 at 251.95 mph on the very first day of completion setting the bar really high in the unlimited class. Tom Bailey ran a strong second with a 7.272 at 217.95. Pretty strong performances for the first day of competition. Larry Larson who purposely

fuel pump failure and was out of the competition. Most of you might know, not only do you have to run fast at the drag strip, but you have to travel several hundred miles between tracks in order to win. The first day of competition knocked out about 39 cars, which either broke on the way to the next track or had some mechanical failure

with a 5 day average of 6.78 at 219.63 mph. Goldstone’s Javelin came in 2nd at 6.95 at 208.04. As you can see the competition is pretty close. I was amazed that 10 cars this year ran sub 8 second

during competition. Tom Bailey had the top time in the Unlimited Class running a 6.355 at 224.96 mph. Dave Schroeder in his 1966 Corvette ran a strong 2nd place with a 7.142 at 189.76 mph. Dave was a favorite from last year, but never really was able to get his car running strong. Day 3 was at historic Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI. This small drag strip seemed to pull in a huge crowd. There are a ton of Motor Heads in Wisconsin! Great Lakes seemed to be a tough track to blast off some strong times. Tom Bailey best effort only yielded a 6.846 at 215.41 mph, which gave him a strong lead in the unlimited class due to more attrition. As of the end of day 3, 54 cars were out of the completion and most of the strong runners in the unlimited class. Day 4 sent us to Cordova International Raceway in Cordova, IL. Tom Bailey was running pretty good and knocked off a 6.763 at 212.73 mph with

quarter mile times.

built a Chevy S10 pickup for last year’s drag week completion didn’t enter the event this year. While I was poking around in the pits and talking to racers, I found out that Larry wasn’t too thrilled with the track selection this year and felt a few tracks were not suitable for sub 7 sec cars at over 250 mph. A Larry Larson built 2013 Camaro ZL1 was entered into the competition and on the first day ran a 7.89 at 189mph in the Pro Street Power Adder Class. This year’s event seemed to be lacking the excitement of last year’s event. Last year’s event was a good battle each day between Larry Larson, Tom Bailey, and Jeff Lutz. Day 2 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, IN brought some disappointment. Jeff Lutz was unable to get his car to the track due to a 42| Motorhead Magazine - October 2015

an early morning run. Since, most of his competition had dropped out he exited the track early that day and made his wat back to Gateway for the final day of competition. In the Ultimate Iron Class, Bryant Goldstone was running ridiculously strong with a 6.910 at 207.85 mph in his 1973 AMC Javelin. His 4 day average was 6.9525 at 207.89 and was closing in on Tom Bailey’s 6.809 at 217.76. Bailey needed to make sure he survived to the last day in order to win the overall competition. The final day brought us back to Gateway to end the event. At the end of the day, Tom Bailey won the overall completion

This year also brought in a ton of GM LS powered vehicles in a variety of different cars. Seems like the turbo 5.3/6.0/7.0 were in a ton of cars and running some strong times too. Most were running race gas or E85, but it was impressive to see these motors in a variety of cars. Tina Pierce was running a 427 twin turbo LS motor in here 2008 Colorado. Her truck averaged 8.72 at 161 mph. I really don’t ever remembering her turning a wrench on the truck all week. The GM LS engines seemed to be a favorite among racers this year.

When perusing through your stash of goods on top off your toolbox and shelves, you might want to keep one basic question in mind. “How long have I had this?” One of the most prominent contaminants that will unfold right before your eyes which can be a dreadful harm to your vehicle is hydroscopic fluids. What does hydroscopic mean? Hydroscopic describes something that will readily take up and retain moisture. A common hydroscopic fluid that would cause quite a conundrum is brake fluid. When brake fluid absorbs moisture, the boiling point of the fluid becomes lower and will cause the fluid to compress less. Moisture within your braking system will give the fluid the ability to limit your braking power, and in turn rust out your brake lines and all necessary hardware and components. Being a New Englander during the winter months will accelerate your fluid’s water-sucking habits and this is why it HOUSE WASHING is discourage to keep larger containers on your garage shelf. When Motorhead owner Lou Cicerone told me to try and find a feature car that is a little different than my usual contributions, it took me a while to think of one car that was like nothing I have ever written about before. Of course, there are some downsides to built-in

quit bothering your sister and if you ask to stop at McDonald’s one more time, we’re turning this 12 Volt News article right around and no one will learn anything about headrest monitors. So be good, and go on to learn about the different types of headrest monitors.

In-car video entertainment….. for those of us who spent our childhood on road trips, crammed in the back of a station wagon with nothing to do but punch our brothers or sisters, it seems like a godsend. For the parents who were trapped in the same car with three kids who decided to pass the time by punching, pinching and asking, “Are we there yet?” it seems like nirvana. But for today’s kids, it’s becoming par for the course. With technology shrinking, drivers are no longer dependent on their radios to entertain passengers. Cars and trucks can now be outfitted with VCRs, DVD players and even the latest video game systems. While the entertainment systems’ range includes everything from basic portable DVD players to large ceiling-mounted viewing screens, the most luxurious viewing option for many car passengers is headrest monitors. With headrest monitors, each passenger has a personal monitor mounted on the back of the headrest of the seat directly in front of them. Not only do personal monitors of this sort cut down on issues like sun glare, but in some systems, each monitor can display different programming (ending fights over what to watch) or even use different entertainment devices. That means that while one passenger watches a DVD, another can play video games.

If you’re in the market for a new car, you’ve got a lot of factory-installed entertainment options. Selecting a factory-installed system makes providing entertainment for your passengers easy. The system is set up and ready to go from the moment you own the car. You’ll have a warranty for all of the entertainment system’s parts and even the labor required to install them. You’ll also know that all the components have been designed to work with your car, and they’ll fit seamlessly into the design and operation of the vehicle. headrest monitors. The systems tend to be very expensive. While some manufacturers offer the systems straight from the factory, they can add thousands of dollars to the price of a car. Actually, only a few luxury car manufacturers currently offer factory-installed headrest monitors -- making them an expensive addition to an already expensive purchase. Aftermarket headrest monitors are more common, but these are still an expensive proposition and usually require professional installation But, if it’s headrest monitors you want, A Custom Car Stereo Center has you covered. So buckle up,

For those with their hearts set on factory-installed headrest monitors, you’re choices are more narrow than if you considered other factory-installed in-car entertainment systems. Currently, only a few luxury carmakers offer factory-installed headrest monitors on their cars. For those in the new car market who want this feature, you’ll have to limit your car shopping to luxury SUVs and crossovers. Some sedans do offer the monitors; however, they tend to be extreme-luxury sedans like Maybachs. Even at the mere luxury level, a factory-installed system will set you back quite a bit. For example, the Land Rover optional headrest monitor package adds around $2,500 to the

vehicle’s price. Aftermarket systems can be more affordable. For one, you don’t have to buy a new car to get them. The headrest monitors alone are really not that expensive. Seven-inch (17.8-centimeter) monitors start at around $80. However, mounting these monitors can be very complex. You have to cut into the back of the headrest, run the wires into the seats and route them to the input device (VCR, DVD player or game system). And don’t forget that you have to put the seat back together again. That’s something that’s out of the league of many do-it-yourselfers, which means installation costs need to be added to the relatively low price of some of these stand-alone headrest monitors. A less labor-intensive option is to replace your car’s headrests with headrests that have monitors pre-mounted. Many car audio suppliers manufacture these, and installation is as easy as popping your old headrest off, putting the new one on and running the wires to the input device. A set of two of these ready-to-go headrests can cost upwards of $800. Some even hide a DVD player behind the screens, which folds out of the way to change disks. That makes installation even easier since you don’t have to run additional wiring to a remote device. While a number of factory and aftermarket headrest monitors have a DVD player in the headrest, behind the screen -- remember, the screen slides out of the way to access the player -- there are a number of other system options. While the headrest monitor and DVD player combo may be the easiest to install, it also has some limitations. In many cases, it means that both headrests can’t watch the same DVD. These systems also make it diffi-

cult for the monitors to show other media, like video games. It may seem like a small point, but where the media players are located is actually pretty important. Some factory systems place the DVD player (or players) in the dash, making it relatively simple for the driver or front passenger to load discs for the passengers. Other factory systems place the DVD player in the rear cargo area. That allows for a lot of different types of media in the car. A large DVD changer can fit, and so can one (or more) video game systems. However, this placement has its downsides, too. It can’t be safely accessed while the car is in motion. Also, if there’s cargo in the cargo area, access to the media may be further limited. Plus, running the wires from the monitors through the vehicle and into the cargo area also complicates installation for aftermarket systems. Other systems put the media between the front seats, facing the rear seat passengers. That allows for the back seat passengers to access the media players to change discs or games. On the other hand, such placement puts the media players at risk for getting kicked or stepped on as people enter or exit the car, and not every vehicle has enough space between the front two seats for a media player (or two). The way many headrest monitor manufacturers try to solve these difficulties is by providing wireless remote controls with each monitor. That way, even if the media player is far away from the passenger, they’re still able to control it. Come down to A Custom Car Stereo Center and explore your options for a aftermarket Entertainment Player in your vehicle.

ART by ETCH • Written by Jim Weicherding What do you think of when you hear, or read the word, “Art”? Do you think of cool cartoons and illustrations of classic cars and trucks? Maybe it was a poster you once saw with a bright orange GTO Judge like I saw the other day displayed on the wall at a meeting with a performance parts distributor about sponsoring my 1969 “OUTLAW” GTO Project Build and OUTLAW RUN book signing car show and drag racing tour next year across America. Art comes in all shapes and sizes and is everywhere you turn in the world today. There isn’t one thing created, produced, manufactured or displayed that didn’t come from someone’s imagination and put to paper. Well,

and participants. Car show promoter’s are looking for items and awards that are unique and attractive that can actually feature images of classic cars and trucks along with their venue logo and location.

GTO owners and GTOAA Members across New England are ordering their own showcase mirrors to put on display with their own vehicles at car shows and cruise nights that displays their GTO image, year and vehicle information. Very attractive show item and makes a great conversation piece with car and truck enthusiasts everywhere. I personally enjoy creating these great GTO featured custom etched showcase and wall décor mirrors because I am a huge GTO fan and enthusiast. I own GTO’s. I drive GTO’s. So do my customers. Some of the nicest car people I have ever met are GTO owner’s. Just because I reside in Rhode Island doesn’t mean my custom etched showcase GTO mirrors are just sold to area GTO owner’s. I receive orders from GTO and muscle car owner’s all across the country as well. Every single custom etched GTO mirror is sent via UPS and can be delivered anywhere within the continental USA. Whether it is a gift item, or for personal use, these custom etched mirrors are extremely popular with GTO and muscle car

maybe in regards to the caveman that is not absolutely true. They drew on cave walls, not on paper. Unless it was drawn on a tree. That was close enough to paper for any caveman artist in my book. I have never seen a photo with a caveman drawing that featured a GTO as a means of transportation. It was usually a mammoth, or a dinosaur depicted as a means of transportation. I prefer a GTO! A unique art form that once was a very popular artistic style of impression was custom glass and mirrors back in the 30’s, 40’s and early 50’s but has since died out due to technology and artists fearful of making mistakes with their artwork and lettering. What was once seen practically everywhere on storefront windows and inside diners, restaurants and businesses has been replaced by hand painted and vinyl impressions. Even hand painted artwork and lettering is rapidly being replaced by vinyl technology and quick buck applications. Nobody wants to wait for anything anymore. They want it yesterday, not in 2 weeks. I, on the other hand, still believe in creating quality handcrafted art and décor products for my customers. I create one-of-a-kind custom etched mirrors and glass for my customers. Mostly GTO owners along with classic car and truck owners. These car and truck enthusiasts don’t mind waiting two weeks for quality craftsmanship featuring their vehicles that they use as display show pieces at car shows and cruise nights. When the car show season ends these beautiful handcrafted etched mirrors are perfect for displaying on walls in their homes, garages and businesses. They are great art décor accents that feature their GTO, muscle cars and hot rods. These custom etched show mirrors are quickly becoming a wonderful gift item for family and friends who own GTO’s and classic cars for birthday’s and the holiday season. You can’t walk into a retail store and get exactly what you want etched on glass and mirrors for gifts, or for yourself. You need to go to an artist, or a craftsman for custom wall décor and show mirrors and those individuals are far and few in between. Another increasingly popular item featuring my custom etched mirrors are award mirrors given to car show winners and best of show winners that feature the car show name and promoter along with a specific vehicle for that event. Trophies are nice, but my custom etched showcase mirrors are really gaining popularity with car show hosts

enthusiasts. I can even create mirror awards for GTOAA Car Show Events and venues nationwide. I recently created a beautiful handcrafted etched mirror for a car club member that had passed away as a Memorial Mirror that is displayed on their car club’s meeting hall wall. These mirrors can be personalized and feature club logos, names, dates and images of any GTO ever manufactured by Pontiac. Is your GTO club planning a car show, cruise night or event? Do you have weekly car shows and cruise nights in your area? These custom etched mirrors would be a great addition to any venue involving a GTO club and car show. Does your GTO club have a charity cause and would like a new fundraising item that can be raffled off to help raise money for your target charitable organization? These mirrors would be a perfect fundraising item for any charity you care about and support. Whether it is a custom etched GTO mirror for yourself, a gift, an award, a memorial or for a fundraising item to help a great cause and charity, these one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces of art are tough to beat when it comes to original showcase display items for car shows or for display on a wall in your home, garage and business. Anyone interested in my GTO Artwork etched on mirrors can contact me via my e-mail jwpisces14@aol.com. I will be glad to create and supply you with whatever you need featuring images of the Pontiac GTO for whatever reason you may have for ordering one.
