Crasto Altitude 430 202

Usually and innocently, in the moment of choosing a wine of quality, the region, producer and even the level of alcohol, without disregarding of course the price, these are factors that always come to mind. However, wines of quality, independently of price, etc., are produced in any region. So dear Readers, in this edition, our suggestion is a wine with characteristics which some might consider not so believable. Its name - CRASTO ALTITUDE 430 (430 meters of altitude), produced by Quinta do Crasto, who as you might know is one of the most renowned and dynamic national producers, therefore no introduction needed. This beautiful wine has the particularity of presenting a low level of ALC by volume, contrasting with the usual 12,5º, making it truly special. It presents all the characteristics of a great wine, floral notes, fruity and of spices. Voluptuous but very elegant, acidity on point and fine tannins, with a “very dangerous” finish, which asks for another glass – a truly remarkable wine. The secret obviously includes the quality of the grapes but mostly the mastery of its producers. Starting with the choice of grapes until the vinification and aging processes, according to the producer – “the grapes, harvested and transported in boxes of 22kg, were subjected to a rigorous triage when arriving at the cellar. Afterwards, they were slightly crushed and transferred to stainless steel fermentation vats with temperature control, where they fermented for 4 days with pellicular maceration and light extraction. They were then pressed into barrels where the fermentation ended.”
