We are excited to share the next installment in our Ruby Star Society: Projects With Purpose, an ongoing series designed to fundraise for a better world. The Pep Talk 2 Panel includes a variety of shapes filled with encouraging words and real talk. Full instructions are included to make them into personal prize ribbons, zipper pouches, pillows, totes and patches. They can also be incorporated in other projects. For every Pep Talk 2 Panel sold, $5 will be donated to The AAPI Civic Engagement Fund. The AAPI Civic Engagement Fund believes that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders must be an integral part of strengthening America’s democracy, improving the quality of life for all, and creating vibrant multiracial communities. This is Sarah Watts’ second ode to the Sunshine State. This time she focused on scenes from Florida’s world renowned beaches - dolphins, sand pipers, coral and fish all make appearances. Sarah’s Sunshine Panel is a versatile, fat-quarter-sized set of designs that can be used in a variety of projects. Three colorways

Like most of us, when Melody was designing fabric in the fall of 2020, she was dreaming of escape. Elixir was inspired by thoughts of lighter moments, vacations, cocktails, and getting lost in nature. In Koi Pond, Rashida revisited some of the art from early in her design career, and recreated it in new colors with a more experienced eye. She wanted the color palette to feel like a sunny day at the lake - lots of warm peaches, yellows, and toffees, with pops of deeper teals. Alexia Abegg loves tchotchkes, thrift store granny square blankets, and all things 70’s craft department. After a year of pandemic doldrums all she could think about was an explosion of color through the filter of nostaliga. She created a group that reminds her of slow analog afternoons rummaging through boxes of craft supplies with her grandma, who calls her and her sisters Honey. Alexia is back with another installment in her super popular Warp & Weft yarn dyed woven series. She has included some new patterns, and brought back some favorites in new colors. She has also created seven new colors of her Cross Weave woven solid. The Workshop Twill, available in four colors, is a midweight twill perfect for lighter jackets and pants. Alexia also created two new solids and one new stripe of her Chore Coat fabric, a thicker yet breathable, nubby, squishy cotton. The remainder are varying shirting weights and appropriate for quilts and garments alike. When Alexia was designing this group it was the midst of lockdown, and she was inspired by dreams of of future colorful parties and trips.
