Dolce & Diva also has excellent customer service and super fast free shipping. All items are shipped within one business day and arrive within 3-5 days. Robyn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Brand? My passion is fashion. I aspire to make Dolce & Diva a worldwide brand with stores all over the world. I also want to create a curvy size line for all of my outfits and expand the Dolce tweed suit collection. I started Dolce & Diva in 2016 when I was on maternity leave from my corporate job. I started with only 12 pieces and did all of my photography (on my iPhone), website design, and everything. Eventually, I was able to expand to carrying more pieces and hire a graphic designer and photographer. Then, in February of 2017, I was able to quit my corporate job and work full time on Dolce & Diva and expanding the inventory and brand. Who is your inspiration in life Robyn? How do you stay inspired as Brand? My fashion inspiration is Coco Chanel. I love her classic and chic designs, and I am so inspired by how she made Chanel such a respected and one of the most coveted labels in the world. I stay inspired as a brand by the fashion I see every day while walking in the city, running errands, on social media, magazines, tv, etc. Old Hollywood glamour and style also inspire me. Another thing that keeps me inspired as a brand is being surrounded by so many other women business owners and entrepreneurs. I am blessed to have many other female friends that are entrepreneurs and that own different businesses. Just being around each other is inspiring and we are always pushing each other, supporting each other, and talking about ideas and business. We all make mistakes Robyn; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I wish that I had believed in myself and started my business sooner! One thing I hope that I could take back is not keeping all of my receipts and not using Quickbooks my first year of business. Once it became time for taxes, it was a mess! Now I stay super organised and use Quickbooks to keep track of all my sales and expenses. Robyn, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I love working with clients. I live for the look on their faces when they find that perfect outfit. I try to find something that will look great on them. Please tell us, Robyn, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? My priorities are God and my children and then work. My children are also my reason Why. After that comes the rest of my family, friends, and social life. Luckily, as I’ve said before my friends are also entrepreneurs and business owners, so spending time with them can also involve work, learning, motivating, and inspiring one another. My social life nowadays consists of pop up shops, networking events, and women’s empowerment events. Robyn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I’m the boss, so I don’t need to persuade anyone. I have been through a lot of different photographers throughout the past two years, and I just kept looking until I found one that saw my vision and the quality of work I expected. Robyn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Brand. I have many things I’m proud of with Dolce & Diva. First, I'm pleased to say you started this business on my own with no help and had stayed true to my vision. I'm proud of how I’ve grown my brand and inventory and sales. I’m also proud of all of my celebrity promoters. Robyn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? When I am creating my website, and when I am styling and getting ready for photo shoots I need to be very creative. I love it. I get to play with different fabrics, backgrounds, layouts, colours, shoes, accessories and see what pops the most or gives the vibe I’m looking for. The tricky part is choosing the final shots. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Brand?* * Never give up! Promote your brand like crazy, get social media influencers, stay true to your vision, believe in yourself, and keep going no matter what. Try to cater to your customers and do things that make your brand stand out from others. Photo Credits: Photographer: Joseph @gifted_mindset Model: Skylar Crawford @skyy_crawford

NUNO VELOSO

Nuno Veloso nunojveloso@gmail.com @8nunoveloso8 http://www.nunoveloso.com Country Macau State / Region Macau Photographer ABOUT Nuno Veloso has 20 years dedicated to Fashion Photography. Arriving London from Portugal he starts shooting covers and fashions editorials for magazines from all over the world and the commercial campaigns for clients such Hermes and Cartier, Nuno was image brand consultant for companies such Alfred Dunhill or Conrad Hotels. In 2010 Nuno moved from London to Hong Kong where he has the opportunity to shoot some of the biggest celebrities in the planet, from David Beckham, Alicia Keys, Jet Li, Boy George, Bruno Mars… Our readers would love to get to know you more Nuno. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I am a person that loves life, friends, music the ocean and always try to get the best for my clients. Nuno, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer? I was 14, and I had many friends that did photography as a hobby, at the time, however, I was more interested in painting. At 15 I made my first painting exposition, and I used the money from my sales to buy my first camera, “Yashica 107”. I spend four years doing my MA in Photography at the Premium Arts School of Porto, and I have a Master Degree in Communication and Media from the University of Saint Joseph. Who is your inspiration in life Nuno? How do you stay inspired as Photographer? Inspiration and creativity are the most and the hardest tool in my profession. Are something “invisible”, but it can be improved with time and work. On the other hand, technique depends on the amount of time spent to study and practice. Creativity requires a different approach, a work towards developing new ideas. And I found life to be the source of all these ideas, all artists’ nymph. We all make mistakes Nuno; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? I don't see it has a mistake but has a decision that for real has changed my life. I was working in Hong Kong as a freelance photographer for fashion and celebrities. I had an invitation to join Sands China Limited, an integrated Resort & Casino. I have been as a Lead Photographer and Art Director for four years. Although, my fashion career will never become the same... But I regret just what I haven't done. Nuno, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? I prefer to let you know what my clients say about me. "Amazing experience working with Nuno Veloso. Focused, creative, professional, and a natural motivator. Allowed me to grow as a professional, learn and implement my ideas and strategies. Would always be a pleasure to work with a professional as Nuno." Miguel Borges Senior Content Strategist at Alibaba Group Please tell us, Nuno, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? 1- Family 2- Friends & Work 3- Social Life Nuno, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Anytime Nuno, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. Shooting a the private collection from Viktor&Rollf. Nuno, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? Being a Creative is a lifestyle, you need to be creative in your bread and butter work and with your personal and social life. Creative is a full-time job. 24/7 Nowadays, we have a flood of information made available by TV, magazines, books, film, theatre, and internet. They all give us the opportunity to experience many feelings, making us more aware of the life around us. I can’t say that I have a “one” way of finding my inspiration, because life is multiple and I am still learning how to read it's different signs. I partly identify with the Dadaism. It defends that the path for creation is a spontaneous event, depending on your state of mind in a particular moment and the environment around you. An idea for a project can happen at any time, whether I’m with friends, working, sitting in the MTR on yet another busy day in Hong Kong, it can occur days before the shooting, or sometimes it can even take place in the studio or location when you start meeting and briefing with the models and creative team. But that is just the kickoff. The most demanding work is before - Pre-production - To make that idea possible. My most important guideline is storytelling by using light, and creative direction is the most influential elements in my creation process. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * A Photographer must work hard and develop his language. About success, I ask back, what is the success? Each person has something inside that is unique, and this talent, this ability to do “it” in a special way cannot be quantified, but dedication and perseverance can make it bigger. You have to believe that you can do “it”, and learn how to be patient, as recognition only arrives with time. Being a photographer or a creative is a profession that requires excellent study and commitment. Sometimes 90% of the work is spent on researching and in building new concepts, and the remaining 10% is Action!!. What I can say to the young photographers is to try hard, to read many images, and to test a lot before the shoot. Also to respect the entire team that works along with you, make-up, hairdresser, producer, stylist, models, etc.… Only through joint effort, you can achieve the desired result – a right image; and be patient because to become “A Photographer” takes time. Cambria Sinclair sinclair_cambria@hotmail.com @cambria_sinclair Country United States State / Region Wisconsin Photographer ABOUT I am studying Apparel Design and Development at UW Stout, and I am minoring in photography, video, and sustainability. I became passionate about photography when I took a black and white film photography class in high school. The whole process of developing the film and the creative ways you could change the pictures sparked an interest in me. That passion has grown over the years into an obsession. I love to capture everything, most people have a specific style and area that they gravitate towards photographing, but I like it all. I think a huge part of it for me is gaining more experience, up until now I've only done personal leisurely work. Since I started a fashion and photography internship, I've been able to take a lot more pictures and realise things that I never noticed before. I am growing as a photographer in areas of creativity and technical work. I'm always looking for new and different opportunities; I would like to expand my body of work and do or be a part of something that I've never seen before. Cambria Sinclair specialises in: - Fashion photography - Nature photography - Fashion design - Technical design Our readers would love to get to know you more Cambria. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I believe that the thing that makes me unique is that I don't have a personal aesthetic or style that I gravitate towards. That makes me very versatile for different projects; I'm eager to embrace any creative intent and direction 100%. I love doing a variety of themes for various photo shoots, and the fashion that I design is just as varied in style and design. Cambria, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer? My passion in life is to ultimately make something that people will use and enjoy for a long time. I know that sounds very vague, but I want to make something that will bring joy to someone's life as other creative people have done for me. I got my start as a photographer using a film camera to take pictures and do creative and fun things with it. I experimented a lot with developing techniques, and even cutting things up to try and find a new way to make photography interesting. I moved into digital photography when I started college; I wanted to learn how to take editorial grade pictures of my designs in fashion. It's been an adventure ever since. Who is your inspiration in life Cambria? How do you stay inspired as Photographer? I would say that an inspirational figure that I look up to is the fashion designer DRIES. He has beautiful designs that are ever-changing, this helps me stay inspired because every season he has something different and innovative, and that gives me the drive and motivation to seek out different styles and moods for my photographs. Another huge part of staying inspired is to find excellent models; it's very accurate that models can become muses to photographers and motivate them to capture beautiful moments. I've had many instances where a model inspired me, and the pictures just turned out fantastic because of my renewed charisma and energy. We all make mistakes Cambria; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? One mistake I wish I could take back is just being so concerned about school work and being perfect. I missed out on many fun moments and was always continually stressed because school work was still on my mind. I think I became less creative because all I was concerned about was getting things done early and not taking just a little bit of time to let my mind reach new heights and do something different. Cambria, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I am very adept at working with clients. I enjoy working with other people and having the opportunity to see how they operate and do things. I communicate very well with others, and I'm always ready to take someones brief and make it come to life. I like to experiment with things, and I think this lends itself very well to working withand for other people. Please tell us, Cambria, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I prioritise my work and family above all else. I'm the kind of person who genuinely loves to do the job, and treats projects and tasks as my social life and leisure time. I always make time for my family, but aside from that, I am very passionate about work. I find it very relaxing and fun, I know many people might see that extreme, but I am my happiest when I am working and being creative. Cambria, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. There was a time at work when myself and my boss were going over different fonts and graphics for a fashion collection. I thought that it should go into a more urban direction to match the other groups we were putting out at the same time, while she wanted it to go in a different direction. I just sat down with her and pulled up all of the designs from all of the collections and made mock-ups of both different themes and showed them to her comparing them. I explained why I thought continuity was better than going in a different direction, and after looking at the visuals and listening to me she agreed. It's not about whether one person it right or wrong, it's about what best suits a project. Ca m b r i a , p l e a s e te l l u s a b o u t yo u r p ro u d e s t p ro f e s s i o n a l accomplishment as a Photographer. My proudest professional accomplishment as a photographer was asked to intern for a company and being told that after I graduated college, I could come back and a job would be waiting for me. Being recognised for my talent as a fashion designer and photography was amazing, I had never gotten any verbal feedback from someone who was in the industry before, and the fact that it was so positive made me feel like I was doing something right. Cambria, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? There was a photo shoot day where I was told I could do whatever I wanted and take it in any direction. Being given full creative power over something was. I was afraid that I would mess up, or that it wouldn't turn out the way I wanted it to. The best part about that experience was a significant amount of growth I experience creatively. I had the opportunity to do anything, and I took that to heart and tried to be as creative as I could be and push myself. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Mine advise for people who are looking to be photographers is to have as many photo shoots as you can, and take as many pictures as you can. Not only do you build your creativity from having to think of new ideas every time, but you also become better technically when you can look back and see patterns in your pictures. I notice that I often cut off peoples feet , and that was something I was able to fix and be more aware of. Nick Myhre njmyhre@gmail.com @iriemyhre Country United States State / Region California/ Los Angeles Actor ABOUT I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012 with a degree in Communication. I recently got into bouldering (rock climbing) and love it. I'm a very hands-on physically active individual. I'm a very AVID snowboarder as nothing beats a day of fresh powder on the mountain. I own my own business where I am the head Coach and trainer where I coach/train online specifically to actors in helping them build a strong, lean, athletic body to keep them working and moving at their best self. Its called the A-List Physique. Moved to Los Angeles just about two years ago and still getting to see everything this city has to offer. I love the opportunity and very eager to go out and find and grab the opportunity that awaits, as no one will do it for you. I did graduate from a two-year intensive acting program in Santa Monica learning the Meisner technique and now out and ready to grab the opportunity I can make for myself. I love just going out and living life and finding new experiences. I love concerts and live music of any sort and living out in LA I tend to find myself attending live shows. Our readers would love to get to know you more Nick. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I LIVE to eat, not the other way around..haha. I love the 3 B's. Beers, Burritos, and Burgers. I believe in living and moderation in life and to keep an open mind. I love fitness or anything outside and active. Grew up on all boards (Snowboard, skateboard, wakeboard, you name it) and played just about every sport as a kid. Moreover, also love being at home and dividing into watching some of my favourite films which are True Romance, Fight Club, and Indiana Jones. I'm incredibly disciplined in how I approach anything yet at the same time I'm just a hopeless romantic goofball at heart. Nick, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Actor? I'm always looking for growth. Pushing myself past my limits and into the uncomfortable as this is where growth, character, and changes happen. Always been extremely fascinated with the art of theatre, tv & film. Decided that I want to pursue a career in the arts to purely be able to go and be free and share myself with the world. To be a real artist. Not a movie star or someone who is famous. However, to live through truth and beauty and to live up to the art itself. Nothing is satisfying or inspiring of being in the moment because you don't know what is going to happen, which is why is special. Who is your inspiration in life Nick? How do you stay inspired as Actor? Inspirations Are Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt...All the GREATS. Moreover, anyone who works hard and has a real passion and grows every year in what they love to do. One of my friends Jesse Brisendine (Life Coach) has had a significant impact on my life and continued every day. To stay inspired is something that comes and goes so I have to be extremely diligent at keeping up with watching movies/tv, reading books, scripts, plays, going to the theatre, and creating space within my life every day to reflect on where I am at and how I'm going to get where I want in life. Plan. Execute. What I like to call "Doing the Reps." We all make mistakes Nick; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? Self-reflection. Went through a big part of my life just coasting. Not understanding where I wanted to go, what I wanted to do, and sit down and ask myself the BIG questions in life that I just turned off for years. However, everything happens for a reason, and I do not regret it as I look at something as a learning experience and how did I learn from this so I can move forward and grow. Nick, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? The guy that fixes problems. In my business that's why they are there. Why they show up. They have a problem, and I'm there to coach and lead them through the obstacle they are struggling with. However, first is to identify what the problem/ obstacle/ or challenge is they are facing. Then, once we have the clarity, I come in and give them the path to go and fix it. Please tell us, Nick, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I create space. For me, that's getting up earlier in my day to plan out and execute what I need to get done from a day to day and week to week basis. Collect and track the data (information at hand), so I can look at the end of the week to make next week even better. I wake up every day and ask myself "What can I do better? Moreover, how can I be more productive and get more done in a day?" Creating space can also be an evening out with friends to allow me time to get away and de-stress. I exercise regularly which has turned into my way to turn my brain off and get away. Like a reset button. Nick, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. That's my business. My coaching system. I coach and train actors to be physically stronger, leaner, more athletic, to feel at their best self and I do so with my methodology I've personally built by doing it myself. I give them the personal approach to do so and to provide them with the control of how to do it. Nick, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Actor. Actor: Independent film "Mirror of my Soul" Model: Boda Skin and LTH JKT leather jacket shoot to launch their line of product. Nick, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? Auditions. I come prepared, and with my choices as I see the part, I'm going for. I see it was an opportunity for me to show them me and my work. Not "Hey, please give me a job." I'm there to show them my gift and talent, and I'm confident in the way of doing that. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Actor?* * Know yourself and know what you want. Not other people. Get out of your head, which is extremely hard, but do not care what others think and go in with a plan and execute it as best of your abilities. Photo Credits: Dylan Bartolini-Volk @hot_fire (IG)

Taber Maier tjmaier5@gmail.com @tabermaier Country United States State / Region California/Los Angeles Model ABOUT I've been modelling for over 20 years. I've shot over 100 commercials in the US and Asian markets. I'm an exprofessional baseball player and have worked overseas the last ten years living in several Asian countries. I enjoy doing both print and commercial. I have ten agencies in the US market and 10 in the Asian market. I'm of mixed race (Thai/American). I work as a personal trainer in the LA area working with clients at their home gyms or working outdoors in the beautiful CA weather. My look has been described as ambiguous which makes me appealing to several markets around the globe. Our readers would love to get to know you more Taber. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I was drafted into the Major League Baseball draft and spent six years playing professional baseball. Being a professional athlete has made me a better model and person teaching me hard work, discipline, and persistence. Baseball is game without many failures, so it's prepared me for this industry. Taber, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? Health and fitness are my passions, so it goes hand and hand with modelling. I get to do both things for a living being a personal trainer and staying in shape for modelling as well. I pride myself on being healthy inside and out. I started modelling back in college and worked with my older brother who was and still is an LA agent at a prominent LA agency. Who is your inspiration in life Taber? How do you stay inspired as Model? The Dalai Lamai. I'm a Buddhist, and he inspires me to be a more compassionate and giving person. I stay motivated as a model because I aspire to travel more and more plus I enjoy the challenges modelling brings. You have to be mentally tough to keep trying to improve yourself and bring your best YOU. We all make mistakes Taber; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I think my biggest regret is never making it to the Major Leagues in baseball. I got close. One level below the highest level. However, I hurt my knee in a game, and I always think "what if." The injury was a freak injury and nothing I could do about it, but you still have regrets that maybe it was karma and perhaps I could've worked harder, and it wouldn't have happened... Taber, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I'm a true professional. All jobs I consider myself a small part of the situation. We all have a responsibility to do on the project, and we all want to do great. So let's work as a strong team and bring our best to make sure everyone is happy. Please tell us, Taber, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? The family is priority number 1. Luckily my family is laid back and not so needy, so we keep in touch and get together on holidays. Work is my main priority, and I'm always working on improving and honing my craft. I don't have much of a social life these days at my age, and I'm ok with that. I use social media to catch up with friends. Taber, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I had to persuade some other models to try and stay positive on a campaign shoot we had in China. The two other models were from South Africa and Germany. They were upset with all the travel we had and the food or lack thereof in choices of food. We were in small villages and had to sleep in tight conditions, and it rained the whole time. They were so upset and frustrated. They couldn't understand how I was ok with it all. I told them we are lucky to be here. Lucky to be seeing this part of the world and getting paid to do so. That it's out of our control what the weather brings and we will be just fine. They started to be more positive and take the positives from the shoot and were much happier. Taber, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. I think it's my 8 Men's Health covers for Singapore. I shot my first in 2005. I went to them and said I wanted to shoot a blanket and they obliged. The rest is history! My last was in 2016. I want to kill a couple more to make it an even 10! I always strive to be better than the previous even as I get older. Taber, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? I had a casting video request from Hong Kong for a job that would require me to be a safari guide in the deep wild on a Jeep. Instead of shooting in a studio, I opted to pull the whole thing on my Jeep and in the desert mountains of Colorado where I was living. I acted out a full-on Travel tv show in full clothing and cut the casting video into a full clip. It was my best effort in casting and got me the job! I shot for a week in South Africa with cheetahs! The director said my casting video was amazing and got me the job! What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Be persistent. Be prepared to get rejected. Be willing to keep working harder and harder. Don't be discouraged and don't take this job for granted. Be ready to work in conditions you don't want to and be asked to do things that are hard, but you'll be grateful in the end. M ARCIA MANDUAPESS Y MODEL

My aspiration in life is through modelling and personal styling, letting people see how beautiful and unique they are and that they must be proud of themselves. I sincerely believe everyone here has something to offer the world. Marcia Manduapessy info@marciamanduapessy.com @marciamanduapessy http://www.marciamanduapessy.com Country Netherlands State / Region Amsterdam Model ABOUT

Who is your inspiration in life Marcia? How do you stay inspired as Model? Daily I get inspired by many people who choose to live their life to the fullest. They have goals and dreams and are committed to achieving them. Moreover, along with their beautiful journeys they motivate and inspire other people around them, I love that! I stay inspired as a model through social media. I daily study how other models pose in front of the camera so I can challenge myself to get better in what I do.

EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS Hey! I’m Marcia, a professional model from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

I also read a lot of fashion, business, health, sport and lifestyle magazines to stay inspired. We all make mistakes Marcia; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

When I was little, I always used to say I wanted to become a model. Loving and embracing myself for who I am. However, I was very shy, didn’t feel pretty enough, wasn’t happy with my length and didn’t embrace my curves and curls. Many times throughout my life people came up to me and asked me if I ever thought about a modelling career.

I wouldn't call this a mistake. However, it would have saved me a lot of tears and struggles. Then again I believe it was all meant to happen for a reason.

However, out of fear of failure, I never took that first step. Marcia, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? Until last year. After a turbulent life, I decided to change my life completely.

I’m confident, positive, motived, always eager to learn, helpful, flexible, a good listener and I have a great empathic ability which makes it easy to connect with clients.

I decided to embrace myself and went from straight hair back to curls. To further improve myself as a whole I started a personal development course and explored my talents.

I also used to work in the fashion, beauty and hair industry as a salesperson, stylist and make-up artist. Therefore I can help the client bring their creative vision come alive.

Moreover, of course, I went to the gym every day to create a body that makes me feel powerful and happy.

Please tell us, Marcia, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

Here I am one year later. In order of urgency, I prioritise. I’m a professional model now www.marciamanduapessy.com I feel so incredibly blessed and thankful for the people around me who were part of my transformation and supported me along the way. I intend to continue this beautiful journey and would love to work with amazing brands like Rituals Cosmetics, Deva Curl, Nike and other inspiring brands who empower people to be all they can be. I strongly believe now is the time for people to embrace their uniqueness and share their talents with the world. Stop comparing yourself to others. Stop listening to the naysayers

I note all my appointments in my agenda by using good time management where I create the balance that makes me feel comfortable so I can be well present during every meeting. Marcia, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Once while shooting, I suggested adding some other jewellery to my outfit because it made the outfit look richer and more complete. Marcia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. My proudest accomplishment was walking the runway for Schwarzkopf as a model.

Be proud of who you are and the gifts you have to share with the world That moment meant a lot to me because it confirmed my transformation. Love, Marcia Our readers would love to get to know you more Marcia. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?

Beatrice Mazza

Beatrice Mazza beatricemazza.fs@gmail.com Country Italy Bologna Fashion Stylist instagram.com/beatrice_mazza_/ ABOUT I've always been interested in art since I was a child. I've attended an artistic high school, and then I decided to study fashion at University. During the last year of University, I also started a Master programme in fashion styling & art direction at the Moodart Fashion School in Verona. I've already assisted several , and I've worked at the Milano Fashion Week and Pitti Bimbo. I also won several contests in art projects, and I love writing about fashion too. Our readers would love to get to know you more Beatrice. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I'm a very young fashion stylist. To me, fashion is art mixed with business, and I love both these aspects. I love telling stories about people, places etc. through fashion. I really care about my audience, and I always have respect for my clients. I want to see everyone happy, and I'm only satisfied when my product is classy when it gives emotions when it makes my audience feel something. I'm a caring person, so I don't support ugliness. Art is beauty is fashion. That's my motto, that's all you need to know about me. I'm young and passionate, I love this job, and I'm so grateful to be part of this world.

I've just recently started as a fashion stylist attending the master at the Moodart fashion school. I've always been interested in style, combining different pieces like a college to create a work of art. I'm passionate about every kind of human expression, the way we communicate every second is fantastic. Fashion is very flexible about communication, and it becomes personal when we talk about style. Being a fashion stylist allows me to work with other amazing people and to create something new, unusual, that reflects my vision.

My inspirations come from human behaviours. I love connecting with people and learning from others so I can speak their truth also through my work. Everyone has a different sensibility, and I like to reflect on people passions and ideas using fashion. It's a fantastic game, you learn about them, they learn about themselves thanks to you...It's a dream tale. I watch others; they watch me. Every concession is an inspiration for my work. We all make mistakes Beatrice; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I wish I've been braver in certain occasions. I should have spoken up about what I did and didn't like, not only about style but all the fashion industry. Beatrice, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I want to make happy my client. I want it to be relaxed not only after the project but even before. I like to work in a positive environment, and I demand and give deep respect. Our discussions have to be peaceful, and I love learning clients' point of views while I create with them, not for them.

Please tell us, Beatrice, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I travel a lot, some weeks I visit five cities or more. I love my work because is flexible. Without my loved one I would be dead, so of course I need a balance between work and family, but for now, I'm pretty good at it. Beatrice, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. One time a photographer wanted to use a light on the set that he loved, but I pointed out that with the dress we were shooting that light was incredibly wrong. I wanted to share something so practical with you because my job is not only about creativity, you have to be aware of everything on the set and give advice thinking about the full picture not just about the styling.

Beatrice, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. One of my looks was published this June on Sport&Street Magazine. I worked with a Gucci Model, and the result was terrific. I'm so proud of myself and how this opportunity came to me unexpectedly. The team was, and that day I felt at the top of the world. Beatrice, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? I don't have a particular taste for now because I'm developing myself, but admittedly I love when an image is more about minimal and poetry. I've shot a minimal inspired editorial with a shaved (no hair) woman. It was so fresh, so modern, so chic and robust... I loved it; it wasn't difficult at all because I was speaking with my art and I loved the team. I wanted to work with that model for so long that all was very natural almost like a deja-vu.

DANI MILLER AND MACKINZIE DAE, THE EPOCH ADVISORY Dani Miller and Mackinzie Dae, The Epoch Advisory dani@theepochadvisory.com @killadmilla @mackinzie_dae http://www.theepochadvisory.com Country United States State / Region California Creative Agency ABOUT Dani: My interest in public relations sparked when I was 16 years old, and I established a charitable organisation called Fashion Forward, which consisted of fundraising and awareness effort in support of a boarding school for children orphaned by HIV AIDS called Maru-A-Pula in Botswana, Africa. In my very first effort, I organized a fundraising fashion show, which generated approximately $40,000 and was covered by a variety of teen publications. I am a strategist by nature and experience. I recognize that the public relations industry commands creativity and innovation, dedication and hard work, the ability to think swiftly and strategically and to judge wisely, which is why I have always been drawn to the field. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, specializing in Communications Advising with a 4.17 major GPA from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, a Bachelor of Science in Public Service & Public Policy, specializing in Leadership and Management with a 3.97 major GPA from the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University, a minor in Political Science, and three certificates in Leadership and Ethics, International Studies, and Public Management and Administration. Then I attended law school at Pepperdine and attended the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution for a Masters in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Along with my journey, I’ve been the Director of Events and Marketing for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, a Senior Talent Publicist at a boutique PR firm as well as many other positions in between. In May 2018, I was completely blindsided, as was every other employee that worked at the same small public relations firm as I, when on a Wednesday, just after the close of business, the owner called us all into his office and proceeded to clean house without very much explanation. Shocked and upset and fired for the first time ever, I did the only thing I knew, gather all of my resources and open my own firm. That’s how The Epoch Advisory began. Mackinzie: I enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 2008, and I served for five years. Afterwards, I went to business school and kept finding myself working in or around art creating digital content. Nu Dae was born while I was a trainer at Equinox with the mission of helping my clients realize that every day is a new day to do something different. This message translated when I was developing the mission for Nu Dae Productions in that every day affords us the impressive ability to create something out of nothing and as a result, on the backend, we aim to give creators an ability to tell their stories authentically, honestly, and openly. Our readers would love to get to know you more Dani. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? Dani: The dictionary definition of the noun “epoch” pronounced “epic” is “the beginning of a distinctive period in the history of anything.” We’re a creative boutique agency championing a personal approach to production and public relations in the Hollywood scene. We want to make a difference, and we strive to change the world for the better with every client we work with and any project we take on. Mackinzie: My Marine background has led me to have a very regimented way of going about things. It’s all a work in process though. Everyone works well in different ways, and we are still figuring out how to work most productively, but it’s evident through our work product that we are on the right track. Keeping communication lines open and free is one of the most important things in our business because being on the same page is what makes us so good at what we do. Dani, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Agency? Mackinzie: The first time I ever heard Dani speak was at the beginning of the summer when she was interviewed on iHeartRadio. She was so passionate about everything she said, and I was really inspired by all of the things she stood for. She gave me the push I needed at the time I needed it to keep working hard at what I love. It just so happened that I was already in talks with The Dolan Twins with regards to producing their directorial debut and they had come to me with Cub Sport’s song and story. I wanted Dani on my side, so I asked her to be apart of my team. Dani: In May 2018, I was completely blindsided, as was every other employee that worked at the same small public relations firm as I, when on a Wednesday, just after the closing of business, the owner called us all into his office and proceeded to clean house without very much explanation. Shocked and upset and fired for the first time ever, I did the only thing I knew, gather all of my resources and open my own firm. That’s how The Epoch Advisory began. We want to make a difference, and we strive to change the world for the better with every client we work with and any project we take on.

After Mackinzie and I joined forces, it was clear that we were a match made in heaven. It’s one thing to think that you and your team are doing a good job, but it’s another thing when others notice and attest to the good job you’re doing. For example, when location hosts and your crew are impressed and compliment you and your partner's teamwork. It certainly wipes away any doubts you may have had about working together. I think it was in the middle of this project when we realized that we were capable of anything and we decided to merge Epoch and Nu Dae. Who is your inspiration in life Dani? How do you stay inspired as Creative Agency? Dani: We think strategically. And we think creatively. I’m constantly attempting to connect all the dots, in way shape or form, that's where my inspiration stems from. I think we are really lucky to come from such diverse backgrounds because it allows us to see the same project from so many different angles and offer solutions that really reflect our collective experience. It’s really interesting to me because, at the heart of it all, Mackinzie and I are problem solvers and the beginning of any good business idea is the solution to a problem. Therefore, I think that our solutions are the backbone of what brings our and our clients’ ideas to fruition. Mackinzie: We have a mission. And that mission is to produce work that conveys our client’s messages in memorable, moving, unique ways. Ways that make us proud. I want to say that the ideas don’t just come to us, but really, they do. I say that in the humblest way possible… This project really opened my eyes to realize just how well Dani and I work together. At this point, I can truthfully say that all of the projects on our calendar are not only exciting because I’m confident in our abilities to get what needs to be done, done, but now I’m also confident that we can accomplish anything and we can do anything easily. We all make mistakes Dani; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? Dani: I am too trusting. I have wasted a lot of time and energy into trusting those I hire and decide to work with, but it’s very hard for me to create that boundary. Relationships are everything. With our company, one of my goals is to establish an open dialogue where mutual trust is key but doesn’t cross boundaries between personal relationships and business relationships. If mutual trust and mutual honesty don’t exist than relationships don’t exist. And if relationships, don’t exist then you’re all alone. I’m lucky that Mackinzie is someone I can trust. This trust stems from our ability to communicate, our mutual respect for one another and our deep-rooted loyalty. Without communication, there is no relationship. Without mutual respect, there is no worth. Without trust, there would be no future for our business. Mackinzie: Everyone fails. Dani and I both have. Sometimes we fail each other, but we quickly recognize the failure and learn from it and then work to find peace by re-establishing our equilibrium in our work product. Peace isn’t a state – it’s a choice, and you have to remake that choice every single day. It’s possible to get a sense of stability, a habit of peace, but it’s like an egg that’s balanced, spinning on its point: lose your momentum and then you’ve lost your equilibrium too. Dani ,How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? Dani: Mackinzie and I are both very hands-on. I think that because we are ultimately small by design and perfectionists to a fault, we’re then able to 110% fully immerse ourselves in all of the work that we produce. Our clients and collaborators receive complete hands-on focus and get our full attention no matter the project, no matter the budget, and no matter the size. Please tell us, Dani, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Mackinzie: It’s reported that only 1% of people are successful at doing something that they try to do. Do you know why that percentage is devastatingly low? It’s because everyone is too afraid even to try to do the thing they want to do so they never start, or he or she won't ever try because they’re afraid that they’ll fail. One strategy that has helped our business to grow is that we aren’t afraid to fail because failure isn’t an option. If there is one thing that I will say over and over again, is that success is no accident. It’s a combination of hard work, perseverance, determination, dedication, a little bit of sacrifice, a love for what you’re doing and love for the people you’re doing it with. Dani, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Dani: We always have a backup plan. I think this is one of the best habits we have and without fail, it makes certain that we never fail. Everything goes according to plan because of this very fact. That’s part of our secret sauce, for sure. Mackinzie: Compromise is key. Dani, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Agency. Dani: My proudest professional accomplishment as a creative agency thus far is having Mackinzie as my partner. What’s the point of a partnership if I can’t get to him and say “I can’t hold up the world today alone, will you help me?” Mackinzie: We’re super passionate about helping our clients to influence society and culture with positive messages reinforcing the importance of growth, inspiration and evolution. I am proud of our passion for changing the world for the better by aligning with projects that actually make a difference in the world. I really think this we have magic in the making. Not content in just helping creatives, we are also focused on tackling social issues, which is why we founded USB: United Stance Against Bullying. Dani, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? Mackinzie: We are always creative with our work. It’s exciting. And it’s difficult. But our collaborations are highly curated in an effort to stay true to each of our business’s original roots prior to our merger. Dani: I also love how our positions align in such a way that we are also able in aiming to help make a difference in the lives of young people as well as share our mission to fight against bullying and stand up for the normalisation of the conversation about the importance of mental health. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Agency?* * Mackinzie: Monday’s are exciting. Dani and I love Mondays. You can like Monday’s too, if you change your state, you’ll change your mind. Dani: You’re only in control of two things: how you feel and how you react. Nothing else is up to you. Now for the best part Dani! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work. Photo Credits: Colby Jackson Outcastcitybiz@gmail.com @outcastcity

TINA GREEN

Tina Green tinathebrand@gmail.com @modelbrand_a Country United States State / Region Pennsylvania Model ABOUT I've studied biology at Temple University where I received my doctorate. I am currently a contract medical writer for a large pharmaceutical company. I have been a medical writer for 14 years. I have done some modelling years ago, mainly photoshoots and modelled for an independent designer. Last year, I got the urge to start up again when submitting for and attending to open calls. Since then, I have starred in 2 local independent films (Reigning On You and Badland) and a TV show (The Americans). I have also been hired as a contract model for an independent fashion designer, SRC, Inc. I am also the brand ambassador for Poppy Apparel.

Photo credits Photographer: @dannasphotography MUA: @sheenmarie.mua Clothing: @lollipopdiamondboutique Our readers would love to get to know you more Tina. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? Besides being a model and actress, I am good with words. I am a decent writer and speaker with an infectious smile. I am also a brand ambassador/ influencer who loves to promote clothing, cosmetics, skin care, and wine. I like to spread joy and positivity. Tina, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? My passion is fashion, and I aspire to do what I love as an influencer for the rest of my life. I've got started as a model years ago through requests from photographers to have my pictures taken. But not only that, I have always wanted to be in the fashion industry. I loved, and still do, looking at editorials and watching runway/fashion shows. At that time, I did a lot of photoshoots, attended modelling classes, and did model for an independent designer. Eventually, I decided to continue with my studies as I did not have any luck with representation. From this, I learned to never give up on my dreams due to the opinions of others. Who is your inspiration in life Tina? How do you stay inspired as Model? My inspiration in life is Naomi Campbell. I love her pictures and watching her walk. I stay inspired through prayer, positive quotes, working on my craft daily, and I have a great support system, my family! We all make mistakes Tina; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I say my biggest mistake ever was staying in an abusive relationship with a boyfriend when I was younger. The sad thing about staying in this type of relationship is it lowers one's self-esteem and self-worth. I am not sure if I would take it back because although it wasn't the best experience, it shaped me into the person I am today. Tina, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I would describe myself as a person who really listens to her clients and works hard to being one of the best representatives for their brand. I am honest and truthful. I love the products I currently represent as I use them often. Consumers cherish honesty. Please tell us, Tina, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? God and family are first in my life. I like work: life balance, but do have common sense in that business needs can be pressing, so some periods of my life will be a lot busier than others. I love working hard and do understand the value of hard work to reach desired results. Tina, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I can only give an example of my current employment situation. I am in the position where I have to negotiate often. In this one situation, the team wanted a particular project done in one week. I scheduled a meeting to discuss the timeline and how long it would take to get specific steps done on my end, and also addressed the reality of when individual deliverables would be available on their end. Once the team saw the entire picture, they were convinced to extend the timeline and for me to send an updated version of the timetable offline for their review and comment. Tina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. My proudest accomplishment as a Model is recently being hired as a contract model by an independent designer (SRC Inc) and also being selected by the same designer to work on special projects. I feel that my hard work, professionalism, and dedication to my craft is paying off. Tina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? Posing in front of the camera is exciting and challenging. I feel creative every time I am in front of the camera. It used to be difficult being vulnerable, and sometimes it still is difficult. I feel more open to express myself, but this has come with time and a lot of practice. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Be you, you are unique; you are unique, be professional, never give up. Keep going to job interviews. You will hear a lot of 'nos' before you hear 'yes'. THALEA PRETORIUS

Thalea Pretorius thaleapretorius@gmail.com @HERSUNKISSEDSOUL http://WWW.HERSUNKISSEDSOUL.COM Country South Korea State / Region Daegu Blogger ABOUT I am Thalea Pretorius currently living in Daegu South Korea but born and breed in Cape Town South Africa. If I could chase the sun for a living that’s what I would be doing full time no arguments about that. I love travelling, meeting new people, great food, great conversations and shamelessly will admit I love shopping. I traded in my Marketing/ Office management Job back in 2014 to pursue my love of travel. Teaching English has given me the means to do this, and I am still going strong. Ironically my passion for marketing and creating never left me, and it led me to start my blog. Hersunkissedsoul.com. Building this platform I have learned to do it all, from significant web development, art directing, writing, content creation, social media, and photography. Recently I have stepped out from behind the scenes to in front of the camera too. I am focussed on soulful travel, travelling with a purpose and all things wellness to nourish your body mind and soul. I have also always been interested in fashion and beauty, but it's more of a personal thing that I feel I can grow and explore more of as I learn and grow and expand my brand. Being able to live abroad and travel has given me so much freedom, to explore the world but also allowed me to explore myself more intimately a journey I wish for all. So my goal is to inspire, motivate and learn from all those whom I get to meet, work with and through collaborations. I don’t claim to be an expert in any specific topic, but I think I could add some value based on my trials and errors navigating through womanhood as I strive to live life better. I intend to lead by being a positive example, especially for young women. Being a Woman in this day and age is no easy task and surely something they do not equip us with at school. Our readers would love to get to know you more Thalea. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? One thing that I would say is unique about me is my curly hair something I hated for years. In the last two years, I have been transitioning to being a naturally proud kinky haired women. I am just the girl with the big hair travelling around the world. Thalea, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger? It all started because I was very lost and confused with life. Not knowing what direction I wanted to go in after graduating. Being very shy it held me back from accomplishing my dreams back then. I then stumbled across blogging as it started to grow online. I secretly blogged about everything and anything. It was my way to release my creativity, and I started loving it as a personal creative outlet. My insecurities, however, held me back from really pursuing this, and it just became a hobby. I then went on a trip to Thailand that completely changed my life in 2013/2014, and by the end of 2014 I had quit my Marketing job to pursue my love of travel, and I relocated to China. By the end of 2015, I embarked on my first ever 3-month solo female backpacking trip that ultimately pushed me out of comfort zone and had a significant impact on who I am now. Fast forward to 2018. I have lived in South Korea for two years and relaunched and rebranded my blog this year. I am finally taking the online space more seriously as I have grown to discover my true passions and life purpose using social media and my website Hersunkissedsoul.com. Who is your inspiration in life Thalea? How do you stay inspired as Blogger? Women, in general, inspire me especially young women who lack self-worth and self-love because it's something I struggled with for so many years. I genuinely wish to do better every day so that I can be an excellent example for all women battling through life. Having a real relationship with God has helped me step out f my comfort zone, and it inspires me daily to live life better. Knowing that I am serving others and not just myself is a huge inspiration and motivation for me. People that inspire me are: First and foremost My mother and her mother my grandma who raised me. Two powerful women who have taught me the best life lessons. Louis Cole from Fun for Louis his the OG of daily travel vlogging and someone who inspired me to travel. His Girlfriend Raya from Raya Was Here; her true loving, compassionate character comes through on screen beautifully. Rochelle Fox her personal story is impressive and inspiring. Watching her turn her weakness into a strength and turning it into a business Mindspo to help others and cultivate an authentic life has motivated me to stop hiding and to turn my weaknesses into strengths too. These are just a few people that have inspired me they stand out for me because they are real, I mean there are so many more inspiring people doing great work that I wish I could mention them all but then you could be stuck here all day. We all make mistakes Thalea; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? The biggest mistake I have made to date is self-doubt and lack of confidence. I know this is something many people struggle with but I wish I didn't doubt my potential. Especially starting all those years ago when social media was beginning to take off. Working in an innovative marketing and social media sphere I had so many resources at hand. I just lacked confidence in myself being a young 20 something that had no direction. Not being confident enough to grab opportunities that were before I am one of the biggest mistakes I have made. Thalea, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I would describe myself as honest; I will not compromise who I am just to get paid. I am diligent and hard working especially if the project is something I feel very passionate about, or I can relate too you will 100% receive my best effort every time we agree to work together. I also enjoy pushing myself to learn and try new things and be innovative. I am not too fond of any drama, so I tend to keep things professionally fun creating a fun work environment for both parties involved. Please tell us Thalea, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Right now living abroad I don't see my family and friends from home very often but to cultivate a good relationship with them prioritising video calls are essential. Luckily we chat via texts, and the internet has made our lives more comfortable to stay in contact often, so It feels like I am present even if I am miles away. I generally keep work scheduled for Mondays to Fridays that being the computer orientated stuff like writing blog posts, planning and recording my social media content for the week and I go to my paying job being an ESL teacher here in Korea. Prioritising it like this gives me the freedom over weekends to live life do fun shoots, travel and be social. Also staying fit and healthy is very important to me to cultivate a healthy mind and body. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Thalea, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. In my day to day Job, I have not needed to persuade anyone to see things my way. The cultural differences in the working world in Korea is very different from western culture. I get my job done to the best of my ability with the materials they provide me to keep students educated and my bosses happy. The relationship we have established has worked well. My online job is still in the beginning stages, and at the moment I do everything, so I have not needed to persuade anyone to see things my way. Thalea, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. This is a proud personal moment, rebranding my website by myself and doing everything from the name change and setting up my site. It's taken a few years to bring my vision to life. I have now created something that I am very proud of, and I will continue to learn and evolve and so will Hersunkissedsoul.com. Thalea, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? Having a vision of what I want Hersunkiissedsoul. Come to me is very exciting. I am enjoying the process of learning this online social space and leveraging my talents in different ways is fascinating. Sometimes difficult to have to try and learn new things but I am enjoying the process and learning how to collaborate with so many other creative souls for me is very exciting. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Blogger?* * The best advice I can give anyone wanting to be successful in life is to start creating or doing whatever makes your soul happy now. Don't listen to the negative voices in your head and go out there and try instead, live a life of striving rather than a life of regret. Vasilisa Shchadilova

After being overwhelmed with homework and preparing for a test, I received a call from my agent regarding an audition. I declined the hearing and later discovered the client wanted to direct book me. I was extremely disappointed, but I received an "A" on my test. Sasha, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I am known for being flexible, adaptable, very stylish, versatile, efficient, hard-working, good at taking directions and capable of wearing all types of clothing styles. Please tell us, Sasha, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? As it relates to prioritising, a family is first. Without my family support, there would be no Sasha Pleasant. Second, would be balancing school/work life. Without the education, I will not be able to provide for myself or accomplish my dreams and aspirations. Lastly, would be my friends and social life. Without my friends, I would not have a social life. Sasha, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Recently while attending an amusement park with my friends, they wanted to get on a water ride before we left the park. I was able to persuade my friends not to get on the trip, because it would get my mother's vehicle interior wet. Sasha, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Young Model. My proudest professional accomplishment was being featured as the American Girl Doll model three years in a row. Sasha, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? During a recent photo shoot, I was afforded the opportunity to direct the makeup artist by giving me purple smokey eyes to compliment the shot. It was awkward as a teenager directing an adult, but it was fun..... What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Young Model?* * Just go for it! No matter what you perceive to be the accepted look...go for it! All someone can do is tell you "No" then you are on to the next. It will happen if you keep trying. My parents were instrumental in getting me to explore. My mother had a keen interest in museums everywhere, and I learned geography by extensive travel through various continents. She was a "Grande Dame." It may explain my comfort in having embraced Fashion Photography and Film. She Frequented the fashion designer house of the 60's and 70's assiduously. To this day I have a few remaining pieces passed down to me, a travelling alarm clock from Hermes, Dior dress, Chanel tailleur. Early on I was attracted to photography and filmmaking, and I did my apprenticeship by working my way through the different image capturing methods available at a said period. This learning process, allowed me to acquire the necessary techniques both in still and film imagery, I would continue to use to date. I had the opportunity to work on many celluloid systems, all the way to handling high-end digital systems today. Assiduously working to reproduce a scene realistically, with all its colours and "lights" with no alterations and editing is my method. Who is your inspiration in life Michel? Currently, I work at Nordstrom as a fashion stylist for women's clothing. Our readers would love to get to know you more Gabriela. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I am a storyteller, and because of that, I see people's lives through the skin they chose to wear, as a way of expression. Gabriela, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Stylist? Fashion wasn't always the way I saw myself going through life. I kind of fall into in a few years ago, back when I was a teenager, and I began to be bolder in my way of dressing. I felt like through my clothing I was expressing myself to people, my feelings, my way to see the world. Moreover, from that moment it became my passion. My statement in life. Who is your inspiration in life Gabriela? How do you stay inspired as Fashion Stylist? I draw inspiration day by day from the smallest things in life. Every tiny detail is a source of inspiration. Waking up every morning means a new challenge to face for me, but if you ask me who's been my most significant role model, I'll have to say that my mother has always been my person to look up to. She's kept me as the person I am. We all make mistakes Gabrielax; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? As you said, we all make mistakes. Mistakes are a part of life, probably the purest expression of humanity. So, although I have committed my fare of them, I don't regret any, because at some point from those mistakes I learnt a valuable lesson, and I thrived through life. Gabriela, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? The clients' happiness is my number one priority. I strive to make them feel powerful through their clothing while working in an environment that promotes their self-esteem and personal image. Please tell us, Gabriela, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Being a fashion stylist can get hectic at times, but I've come to learn to keep the right balance between work, sharing time with family and friends, and enjoy a peaceful life. Gabriela, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Recently, I began to work for the famous Nordstrom team, and there I have had the chance to change and touch some many life through my job as a personal stylist, and for women, I've come to notice that in many cases they are afraid to express themselves through their clothes, because they feel like people will get the wrong message in what they're trying to convey. Gabriela, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. At 24 years old I was able to work at the Miami Fashion Week. So far, our most significant event in the home market and the international market too. Gabriela, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? Actually, at the Miami Fashion Week, we had a show with low backstage staffing, and as a group leader, I did my best to guide my coworkers through the most overwhelming time in my career yet. The show was the last for our company. 32 models and 60 different looks. Thank God we pulled through. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Stylist?* * Always take new challenges, without feeling scared. The only way to become successful is by making mistakes and having to fix them after. Photo Credits: Silvio Enrique Campos Ferbelle @the_hangman78

Michelle van Kempen Creative Agency

Michelle van Kempen michelle@flexcrew.co @flexcrewapp http://www.flexcrew.co Founder of Flexcrew Country Netherlands State / Region Amsterdam Creative Agency Flexcrew is a matchmaking platform for photography, fashion, and visual arts. It allows brands to connect with and book a full-service creative crew or a skilled professional— all in one clear space. Rates are flexible and different for each original—depending on experience, portfolio and discipline. At Flexcrew we aim to be transparent in the whole production process. So, the rates of all our creatives are viewable on their profiles, with an option to negotiate via our chat tool. Michelle. Tell us ABOUT yourself. I focus on what I do best: (re)building brands, creating campaigns and finding solutions to connect brands with their target audience. I studied Fashion and Branding at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, where I lectured art direction later as well. Next, to that, I am working as an art director for brands like Adidas and Reebok and art directed numerous global campaigns and photo shoots. That's where I realised the production process of photoshoots is not efficient and transparent at all. The market needed digitalisation and efficiency. I wanted to adopt that and started creating a platform where the production process from searching and booking creators to briefings and payments stays in one clear place. Flexcrew grants creatives equal job opportunities, the guarantee of certified clients and overall more control over their work. I genuinely believe creators deserve and need to have that control, as they can do a way better job when they understand the market better, and when they play a more active role in building their careers. The platform represents photographers, videographers, models, art directors, set designers, stylists, makeup artists, hair stylist, prop designers and retouchers. https://www.michellevankempen.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelle-van-kempen-350b1442/ Our readers would love to get to know you more Michelle. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? What makes me unique is that I always like to bring game-changing ideas to the creative industry that are technology and digitally generated, as I have a background in working for the digital sector. The platform I am currently starting, Flex crew, is completely changing the way shoots have been produced for several decades. How Uber flipped the world of transportation upside down and Airbnb the same thing did for hospitality is Flexcrew now is introducing this collaborative and transparent idea of working to the fashion and photography industry. Michelle, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Agency? My experience as an art director showed me something needed to change in this industry. I started Flexcrew to benefit both creators and brands, by introducing technology to the production processes of photoshoots. I have a passion for bringing people together, learning from each other and collaborating so building a big digital community was a very logical step. Who is your inspiration in life Michelle? How do you stay inspired as Creative Agency? I get much inspiration from students I lecture at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. They are not used to traditional ways and processes of businesses yet, so bring a lot of innovative ideas to the table. We all make mistakes Michelle; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I always have a lot of new business ideas, and I was never terrified to share them with other people as I believe I can learn so much of talking and having interesting conversations with people around me. I made a mistake not to sign NDA's, which resulted in my idea being stolen by a business developer. I learned from it, and I am more careful now. Michelle, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I am very open and honest, and very casual to work with. I am direct in giving my opinion to make sure processes are efficient, and I will never stop until a project is exactly how we want it to be. One client once said: "you look like a puppy, but work as a pit bull". Please tell us, Michelle, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I believe a balanced life is what I need. My work is important, but I can't do my job without having my friends and family around. My social life gives me energy. Michelle, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I created a concept for a campaign for Adidas, but there were doubts in my team if it would work, so I didn't get much budget for it as they wanted to keep it simple. I was 100% sure the idea would work, but the budget didn't allow us to book a set builder. I decided to build the entire set myself in the studio and art directed it precisely the way I presented it in the first place. It turned out the campaign was a huge success, with much conversions. Next campaign the budget was tripled. This situation showed Flexcrew's need for the industry as well. Within the platform, you can have a clear overview of what you can do for the available budget. It is easier to make decisions, and there are more options for creators in different disciplines and with different pay rates. Michelle, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Agency. I only just launched the first part, which is a landing page with a sign-up feature, in November the full application will go live. It's , and I am proud of convincing so many people about the idea to support Flexcrew and help make it happen: investors, developers, UX/UI designers. Michelle, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? As an art director, I always have to be creative in my work. The most exciting part is to see how my ideas are coming to live in global campaigns. Difficult is that you can't force creativity. Sometimes ideas come so quickly and quickly, sometimes it takes a bit longer. Being creative is not a 5-9 job, you are always working, as ideas and inspiration don't stick to a specific time frame. The funny thing is that it doesn't feel like working, it feels natural. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Agency?* * I experienced myself that having a big network really can help you. You can learn so much from other people and to have people coming from all different kind of backgrounds around you helps elevating your business to the next level. Make sure to be open to other people's opinions, experience and skills. Sareena DaCosta janiced3475@icloud.com @lovechuu_ Country United States State / Region North Carolina Model ABOUT I studied digital photography which inspired my passion for modelling, media and fashion. I work with brands, photographers and artists on various creative projects. I aspire to be an advocate for women, a successful model and businesswoman. I am currently working on a branding endeavour as Brand Ambassador for Choy Diamond Hair. Our readers would love to get to know you more Sareena. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I am visionary and love to use my knowledge and experience in digital photography to help with bringing my photoshoots, brand and services to life. Sareena, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? My passion is to motivate and be a positive role model for others. My desire to model started with my studies in digital photography. I wanted to see how it felt to be on the other side of the camera, and I haven't looked back since. Who is your inspiration in life Sareena? How do you stay inspired as Model? My family is my inspiration and most prominent supporters. I have been blessed to be surrounded by a family who has given me great advice, motivation ad have encouraged me to be the best version of myself. This has been rooted in who I am and always helps me stay inspired as a model. We all make mistakes Sareena; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can take back? A mistake I made in the past was doubting that I could be a model. I feel this delayed my start at modelling, but I'm grateful where I am now. Sareena, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I have solid work ethics with a very positive demeanour, and I pay close attention to the details. I feel that strong work ethics are the key to building and retaining client relationships. Please tell us Sareena, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I always make time to consistently perfect my craft (modelling) by being very consistent about making the time for it first and foremost. I feel the family balances everything, and then I make time for friends and my social life. Sareena, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. When working on a creative project that entailed hair extension advertisement. The director just wanted to do, and I suggested using clips of video with fans (to make the hair look like it was blowing in the wind) that gave the project more of a mini-movie/commercial feel to bring the product to life really. The director and the client loved the idea. Sareena, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. A recent accomplishment was becoming the official Brand Ambassador to Choy Diamond Hair Company. Sareena, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? In a recent Jamaica photoshoot to promote sunglasses, the creative director wanted to shoot a white sands beach theme. I suggested using the natural plantations of Jamaica, along with the large rocks in the ocean (and not so much the white sands) to give the shoot a natural and authentic Jamaica vibe. It was exciting to see my vision come to life and it was difficult against the sunlight angles and thick clouds. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * To always believe in yourself, never take "no" as a final answer, and be consistent and persistent. CAMBRIA SINCLAIR

Katelyn Barrett

Katelyn Barrett mgkatelynbarrett@gmail.com @Katiepb13 Country United States State / Region New York Model ABOUT I was a mechanic in the Marine Corps for three years now I am studying mechanic engineering at Hudson Valley a community college. I have been a brand ambassador for multiple companies for the last few years which got me into modelling. Our readers would love to get to know you more Katelyn. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I am a very spontaneous person. I can’t count how many times I just randomly picked up a go bag, got in my car or hopped on a plane just because I wanted to travel or get away for a while. I love to try new things; I’m working on getting my bartending license. I want to go skydiving a lot to the point where I can go alone. Katelyn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? I want to be the person someone looks up to. Even if it’s one person. I want to let people know my journey, and I want them to relate and be like “she’s overcome so much and is still on top and striving. I can do that too. I want to do that too”. I started out as a brand ambassador for a few clothing/supplement companies. Then I’d get messages from starting photographers asking to photograph me to help build their portfolio, and it just went from there. Who is your inspiration in life Katelyn? How do you stay inspired as Model? My inspiration is my grandmother. She keeps pushing me to be the best me. I stay inspired just by remembering why I do it. Remembering Why it makes me so happy We all make mistakes Katelyn; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? There are no major mistakes that come to mind, but I guess letting specific opportunities pass me by because I wasn’t very confident in myself at the time. I wish I could turn back time Katelyn, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? When working with a client I want their vision to become a reality (If it’s a photo shoot or runway) if I am doing a promotion, I want to make sure I’m promoting the product exactly how they want. I’m very friendly and adaptable. Please tell us, Katelyn, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? A family is always number 1. Then work, friends and social life. Katelyn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I can’t think of a situation at the moment. Katelyn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. My proudest professional accomplishment as a model would be having TheFashionJournalTokyo comment on my photos telling me to submit for this. I’m still very new to the industry, so I still have a lot to accomplish Katelyn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? I was working with a photographer in California on a project called LoveThySelf and another beach photo shoot. During the love thy self I wrote some negative things that I had believed about myself and then broke the board with my hand as a symbolization of them not being accurate. There was a lot more in the photo shoot and project that brought me to tears. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Don’t give up. Don’t listen to any negative comments. You are amazing, beautiful and talented. Keep striving Photo Credits: Photographer: Nikki Nakata @nikkinakataphotography_

Elle Jones

Elle Jones ellejonesmodel@gmail.com @ellejonesmodel http://www.ellejonesmodel.co.uk/ Country United Kingdom State / Region Staffordshire Model ABOUT I'm currently in the last year of my GCSE's I have chosen to study French, Art, Tripple Science and Pe along with my Engish and Maths. I have had a passion for photography for a while now and like doing abstract shoots. I love my sports, running/swimming/snowboarding and will try almost any sport. I recently went for a photo shoot for myself and found I love being the other side of the camera just as much as taking the photos. Because of my love of photography i understand how important it is to get the right lighting/angles and positions. I am adaptable to locations and happy to be directed as I understand the photographer has an image in their head they wish to create, I'm happy to help make that a reality. Our readers would love to get to know you more Elle. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? You will see I have short hair; this isn't just a fashion statement it was a decision I made earlier this year. I have suffered from Anxiety in the past, and it led to a condition called Trichotillomania. I was pulling my hair through the anxiety and found it became a habit. I realised when on holiday how bad it was getting and decided on my return to shaving my hair off. It was a huge thing for me to do as my hair was very long and thick previously. I did it in two stages and visited barbers to have it styled when that didn't stop me I went for a number 2 all over. Since February my hair has started to grow back, I'm embracing the shorter cut, and the best thing is I've broken the habit. I may or may not grow it long; I'm happy with the way I look now and hope to be an inspiration to others. Getting into modelling was a way of me accepting myself and building my confidence further. Elle, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? My passion is for sports and encouraging others to be the best version of themselves, be original, don't follow the crowds. I aspire to be a teacher in the future, helping my students be confident and accepting of themselves. As I said earlier, I got into modelling recently to further my journey of self-confidence and acceptance. I sent my picture to a few agencies, and a couple got in touch with me to have a photoshoot done. From this, I have my website, started a portfolio and got the modelling bug. Who is your inspiration in life Elle? How do you stay inspired as Model? My inspiration in life is my PE teacher; she tells me I can do anything I set my mind too and encourages me to be the best I can be. I stay inspired as a model by looking at other models and seeing the way it's changing; we no longer have to be the stick thin, the long-haired beauty that models used to be. The future of modelling is me and others like me who show it's ok to be a normal size and you don't have to all look the same. We all make mistakes Elle; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? I wish I could have realised sooner that I can be whom I want to be and not question why people aren't in my life. I have no regrets though; my family always believe everything happens for a reason, even if it's bad, it leads us on a path we are meant to follow. Elle, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? I'm flexible with photographers and take all advise I can get. I will give my suggestions on poses I feel my work from my photography experience. Please tell us, Elle, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? School always comes. First, that is my future. I always have family around and friends/social life as and when I can fit it in. Elle, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. For me at school, I try to be the peacemaker get friends to see things from both sides and work through differences. Elle, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. I'm very new to this but being told on my first shoot that a big chain wants me for their campaign and that I scored top marks for my images from professionals in the industry. That was pretty amazing. Elle, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? One Sunday I got myself ready and liked how I looked, I asked my mom to take me to the underpass in town to do an impromptu photo shoot, we had an hour before dinner, so it was quick, but I loved it. I directed the images, and what I wanted from the session, my mom is a good photographer too which helps! What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * I'm still just starting, but I'd say be yourself. Don't try to conform to a look; it's not like that now. Be unique and happy. If you don't love it, it's not right. If you do, keep going. Are you interested to be referred to our private clients from the US, UK, Europe, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong? Are you able to travel for work? Yes Now for the best part Elle! LEE FOUNTAI

IN

Lee Fountain leefountain41@yahoo.com @leethemyth Country United States State / Region Texas/Dallas Brand ABOUT I will be receiving my Bachelors in Communication with a Certificate in Technology from the University of Phoenix. I first began my exploration into the arts by early getting into Filmmaking. While attending Meramec Community College in St. Louis in 2010, I wrote and directed my film entitled “A Minute Longer. That following year I wrote, directed, and starred in my feature filmed entitled "The Fan" as a character named Eain and also acted in another short film entitled "Distortion" directed by my fellow filmmaker Keith Hoffman. Also in 2010 I danced and helped choreograph dance routines for the "Show Me Sound Drumline" and was their lead dancer. My next big Professional opportunity came in when I was selected for the "Get Money Stop Hatin' Tour in 2014. I toured most Texas and Florida that year. It was the first significant opportunity I got because of my involvement in the creation and arranging of my music and taught me a lot about the music industry. Me participating in all these different artistic fields gave me the experience and the skill to be a multi-faceted artist. I can work with large groups of people and play both team member and leader for most projects. Our readers would love to get to know you more Lee. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? My name is Lee Fountain AKA "LEE THE MYTH". I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri but currently reside in Dallas, Texas. I am a Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, Actor, Voice Actor, Author, Illustrator, and Filmmaker. I have been making music for six years seriously and creating art, in general, all my life. I am currently finishing my latest album entitled "Dead or Alive" along with the 1st chapter to my Japanese Manga series. My goal is to continue to build upon the foundations established by my predecessors and to make something legendary. I want to make art that not only entertains but helps push the human race as a whole forward. My goal to inspire people to dream. I want to contribute my talents, discipline, and creativity to helping create magic, human magic because that's where magic comes from. When it concerns the utilisation of my services, one can expect to get a multitude of skills, expertise, and creativity. If I could compare my self to anyone currently in the industry, I would have to say I am a "Donald Glover" creative. When it concerns me and what I do, one can expect to get much bang for their buck. I can do almost anything I set my mind to. Lee, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Brand? My passions and aspirations are all over the place, but If I had to sum them up, I ultimately want to create at the highest scale possible. I want to create and express myself in virtually every creative outlet and do it with skill and discipline. I wish for when people talk about LEE THE MYTH; they mention that he was a Renaissance man, an innovator, and more importantly a fantastic artist. I started my brand in 2012 when I moved to Dallas, Texas. I initially started creating music under my alias "LEE THE MYTH" and released my first ever mixtape called "Chasing Ryoko" which got me my first fan base in Florida. The rest is history. Who is your inspiration in life Lee? How do you stay inspired as Brand? My inspirations range from a cluster of creatives. To name a few, they are Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Childish Gambino/Donald Glover, Pharrell Williams, The Beatles, Friendly Fires, Daft Punk, Japanese Anime, Manga, Stan Lee, comic books, and living life. I stay inspired by exposing myself to new things. I love to be surprised and would instead feel "comfortably, uncomfortable" if that makes any sense. If something connects with me and causes me to "feel" something, it tends to inspire me more than anything else. We all make mistakes Lee; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? The biggest mistake I ever made in the past was not believing in myself. Back then I would talk myself out things, often being my own worse enemy. If I could go back in time I would tell little Lee that he was enough, he can do anything he set his mind to, and that he was excellent. Little Lee was perfect, imperfect. Lee, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? People are my speciality. I love people especially working with them. I learned this in my early days when making films with my friends in my neighbourhood. I'm very cooperative when I am a team member and consider the opinions of others when I am the leader and or director of a project. I believe in collaboration and believe firmly that two heads are better than one. I also love giving people the opportunity to be an artist themselves as I think that is everyone's God-given right. Please tell us, Lee, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Great question. If I had to put them in a specific order from the most important, I would have to say to it goes family, friends, work, and the social life. Everything I do is so that I can have more time with my family and friends, even to the point of having them involved in my work as contributors. Lee, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Well as I mentioned earlier, I am currently working on a Japanese Manga with my illustrator and partner Nicoy Guevarra, and initially, I had a hard time finding someone who would want to help me bring my vision to life. The workload would be allotted and has been for the both of us. By the way, a Japanese Manga is a Japanese comic book just FYI. When I was going through the hiring process for this project many candidates either decline because of the workload and others were intimidated by the quality of work I was asking for. When I pitched my vision to Nicoy however she was excited and accepted the challenge. She saw my idea and believed in it. We are almost done with, and I couldn't be happier.

Lee, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Brand. My proudest creative accomplishment would have to be me being selected for my first tour. I had to compete for it with thousands of other artist and did it all by myself. I also got to tour Florida which allowed me to meet my fans for the first time which was a dream come true all on its own. Lee, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? When it concerns being creative with my work, a time that comes to mind was when I first started to record music. Back then I didn't have a microphone so what I did was is I got my camcorder, put it on my tripod, created a pop filter using a leg stocking, and recorded footage of me while I sang or rapped into it. I would then get the footage, convert it into an mp3, and then I would manually line it up with whatever instrumental I was working with at the time. After I created my first song this way, I believe that was my first step in attempting to achieve my dreams which were the most exciting part of that whole process. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Brand?* * I would have to say the best advice I can give it to fail forward and fast. As odd as that sounds doing this will one to find themselves in whatever field they desire to be successful in. Failure is the quickest and most effective way of finding the outcome one wishes to manifest. I also believe its important to believe in yourself. Trust yourself and make a mess, a beautiful one at that. Photo Credits: Photographer: Logan Nowicki @logan_nowiki Photographer: Terese Fountain @veseretpho

I have the confidence and the right attitude to be a model, and I think I can make a difference by setting an example for other women in my culture and community. I am 38 years old, and I have to drive and attitude to become a supermodel. I started modelling for three years, and I love it, I believe I am 3 years old in this industry and a long way to go. People can be extraordinarily judgmental and close-minded to anyone different and unique, which is why it is very hard to be comfortable enough in your skin and not to listen to negative people. I think women should start to embrace their age. What’s the alternative to getting older? You die. I can’t change the day I was born. But I can take care of my skin, body, my mind and live my life and be happy. I'm a creative thinker. I like to explore alternative solutions to problems, and I have an open mind about what will work best. Also, I want to help others in need and provide a large influence of positivity in their lives. I aspire to become a supermodel at this age and make a difference in our community. I aspire to be a philanthropist. Who is your inspiration in life Divya? How do you stay inspired as Model? My inspiration in my life is a lot of strong women around me who struggle everyday managing work, kids and home. I am very inspired by Sushmita Sen Miss Universe 1994. We've all been guilty of saying things like "I would love to, but I don't have time" or "I could never do that". These attitudes are so common, but they probably aren't even true. I know it sounds a little cliché, but if you believe you can do something... you can! It's a magical feeling to set a goal that feels a little bit impossible and then achieve it. I've marked quite a few things off my list that I used to believe I couldn't do. Proving myself wrong is a great way to stay inspired. I continue to search for more collaboration work, editorial, runway shows like a model. We all make mistakes Divya; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? Take risks in your life; if you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide - SV. In my modelling Career, I was doing a runway show and was doing it for raising awareness and funds for cancer patients, While doing the show I came across people who were treating models bad because of their race, color, height etc., I realized that it was a big mistake to be part of it. I learnt to pick my project after I do some research and also by spreading awareness to organisers. Divya, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? I am very flexible and open to ideas; I am a team player. I’m comfortable adjusting to any situation and don’t get flustered easily when faced with unexpected challenges. Please tell us Divya, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I believe in work-life balance. Family comes first Divya, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. Always trying to provide positivity at work, with my co-models I always ask them to look at the positive side of modelling they get to make so many friends who inspire each other and collaborate. Divya, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. As a model, my accomplishment is being part of a morning show advertisement (KHOU Channel 11, good morning Houston) which airs every day in the morning where I am representing my culture(I am from India but an American citizen) Divya, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? No work is difficult, Mostly in the runway shows its constant costume changes, running around in heels. I figured a trick where I have a lightweight slip on when I have to run around along with my high heels which is safe and helps with my back. Rob Disko rob@robdisko.com @robstinia http://www.robdisko.com Country United States State / Region Indiana Photographer ABOUT Professional photographer and graphic artist giving life to photographs. Sometimes conceptual, sometimes straightforward, but always producing an image that never lets you forget when it was made. Surfacing memories of when the picture was taken - the sounds, the smells, the feeling of the moment you smiled. Portraiture -Urban and street -Life Our readers would love to get to know you more Rob. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? Everyone is beautiful. Sometimes, though, the right angle, the right texture, the right exposure can make a difference to the model or subject. I always look for the subtle smile when the contact sheet is seen. The one image he makes the difference. I try to find the one image in everyone. Rob, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer? My first job as a photographer was for a collection of funeral homes. Creating photographs of the funeral as a package offering to families. I also left the photography business as a result because I was always faced with grieving and never joy. Who is your inspiration in life Rob? How do you stay inspired as Photographer? Frankly, following other on Instagram and socialising with other are photographers. We learn from each other and inspire each other. Instagram, as an example, is full of amazing talent. There is so many great photographers here and some who do it as a hobby. We all make mistakes Rob; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? Never taking a chance on the artistic side of photography and continuing to develop that skill. Rob, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I love, love collaboration. I don't know it all, but I want everyone to feel comfortable. If you are comfortable and feel ownership in the process, the photographs look natural and convincing. Please tell us, Rob, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I have a strong work/life balance. We all put family first, but I also involve them in the business. We all feel part of the creative process, and eventually, the job seems like family, and we get to spend time with each other doing it. Social life is important too. There is always time to be with friends. Rob, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. There was a time we were scouting for a location. It came down to an inside versus outside shoot. My associate was adamant about shooting outside; I disagreed based on the theme for the shoot. However, I gave my associate the latitude to make the decision, and they did, without checking the weather forecast (I did :) ) So on the day of the shoot, it rained, and we were forced inside. The moral of the story here be prepared. Know as much about the preparation as possible. So getting my way was easy on this one! Rob, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. Simply being recognised by my peers. I am proudest when other photographers like my work. Rob, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? Finally learning and developing methods. I learned taking a photograph is half the effort. The rest comes in the post. When I learned and became more skilled in various tools and techniques, that made it a creative process for me very exciting. Keep in mind that I was first educated and trained in a dark room processing film! What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Never defend your photograph or work. The photographer is an artist. Everyone sees something different. Every photograph will have a story. If someone does not see it, don't explain it to them. Your work is your work. It's not offered for criticism. Abnous

Anet Abnous anetscollection@gmail.com @anetscollection http://www.anetscollection.com Country United States State / Region CA/ Burbank Fashion Label ABOUT Anet Abnous is a Los Angeles-based Armenian artist whose vision is feminine beauty and empowerment. With the female figure as her muse, she creates breathtaking abstract imagery symbolising women’s liberation. Born and raised in Iran during the Islamic revolution of the 1970’s, Anet nurtured her passion for the arts early on. Inspired by her father’s tailoring skills, she took sewing and pattern making classes at age 16, studied fashion design at Tehran’s Zahra University, and after immigrating to the U.S., earned a Fine Arts degree from Queens College, the City University of New York in 2005. Anet’s art is profoundly compelling and culturally diverse. She juxtaposes the vibrant colours and impeccable details of traditional Armenian costumes and art with the subdued black veils of Islamic oppression to create art of striking beauty. Her paintings are housed in several private collections and have been showcased in galleries in New York, Rhode Island, California, and Korea. She has been published in Asbury Park, Burbank Leader, NY Art Magazine, and more. An ardent supporter of women-centred causes, Anet co-curated Manhattan’s first Armenian female art exhibition in 2007, bringing together talented artists from Armenia, Syria and the U.S. She has also shown in galleries with the mission of ending violence against women. Anet’s Collection is wearable, tangible art -- the culmination of Anet’s dream to merge fine art, fashion and storytelling through classic tees, scarves and note cards imprinted with her work. Our readers would love to get to know you more Anet. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I am a passionate artist with a fascinating background. Any piece of art or wearable art I create has some kind of connection cultural or emotionally. All the pieces are meaningful and have some stories behind. They are unique pieces for people who. Appreciate art and love one of a kind piece. Anet, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label? I started as a fine artist and sold many pieces in Galleries internationally. I have been raised in a family that has always been involved in fashion. The only way of connecting my work and love of fashion was to create a label using my art. I am very connected to my feeling and my culture. I create pieces that talk with my art and not necessarily following what the colour trend for this season fashion is. My feelings, my inspiration is all about female beauty and me as a female artist how I see life. How I connect to nature or any other human being. Feminine beauty. Who is your inspiration in life Anet? How do you stay inspired as Fashion Label? My inspiration in my life is my two beautiful kids and people I meet on my journey. I learn a lesson from each relationship and experience, and as a very passionate person, each experience of my life puts a mark on each piece I design. Since most of my pieces have a story behind, some show an event in life, some a tradition and some love and even broken heart. Life in itself is one of the biggest inspiration for me and equally travelling. Every time I travel and learn more about a different culture and people, I see a direct influence and a way of connecting to more people through my collection, my wearable art. We all make mistakes Anet; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? Not pursuing my fashion career earlier until I was passed 40. Not taking risks. Anet, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I am a people person. I have no fear of meeting new people and starting a conversation. When I first started my business, I would attend to a lot of small holiday boutiques, which you end up talking and selling directly to your clients. I never felt nervous. By working directly with clients, you know exactly what they like or don't like. A hint of what will sell better and get to know exactly what they are thinking, and most importantly, you LISTEN. Every designer should be their own best sells person. Please tell us Anet, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? That is a hard one. My family always comes first. Sometimes work very busy, and by looking at my children and noticing how fast they are growing, you want to pull the break and pause and enjoy life and your family. I am a lucky girl that I have a wonderful husband who helps me with Anet's Collection, with my children and has been significant support at the beginning of my business. Without the help and support of my husband and some sacrifice from my kids, none of these would have happened. Anet, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. As an artist, you see things in your way, and you have your vision. It is tough to be able to persuade someone to see things your way. I guess that is why you are the designer, and you have other people helping you with parts of your job that you are not the greatest. In my case creativity and design is the most natural part, bringing my imagination and vision to life ( to create the digital version of my work)is the harder part which I have my husband to thank for. Anet, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. I guess every little step and progress an artist makes, is a step toward significant accomplishment, every time I have a sell, every time I get an excellent review written on my website, every time I walk in to a place or event, and I see some people wearing my brand.....those are all moments I felt proud and inspired to create and design. Moreover, there is still a long way to go. Anet, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? The most exciting part for me is when I work on the design, and after deciding on what kind of finished product it should be, you wait for your sample. Once the sample is on point and can show your vision completely, then that is one of the best points. There are times that your sample does not come out the way you were expecting, and that is the difficult part of it. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?* * Keep learning and Network with the right people and stay inspired. Photo Credits: Anet's Collection

As a development coach, I always focused on the integration of: Capabilities and possibilities Motivations Beliefs Values Power of Presentation How language changes outcomes Alternatively, Whole of Person training. Through this extensive hands-on process, participants learned to develop transformation techniques that developed in-depth skills in communication, motivation and strategic thinking for their professional and personal lives. Now in my 70’s I see retirement from the cooperate world as the end of a beautiful chapter, but it’s now time to rewrite the story, chase new adventures and discover my eclectic fashion aesthetic. Do I have one? I’m betting on myself. There's a fashion revolution and age equality is the new sexy. It’s about loving the skin you’re in and feeling confident with your unique beauty. In fact, it’s about changing the perception of beauty. I’m no longer the mini-skirted babe (I’d like to think I was a babe) who loved a thigh high boot with killer heels and adored every moment of the swinging 60’s. As I’ve evolved, what I’ve learned after a lifetime of loving fashion, clothes, and style is; what you wear and how you wear it tells the whole world who you are, but more importantly it’s that selfvalidating reminder of your stylish gorgeousness. I want to share my fashion journey with fabulous women in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and have them inspire me. I’m part fashion commentator, fashion stylist, a creative entrepreneur and newly arrived blogger. We’re all getting older, and it’s lovely that mature beauty is not undervalued but being represented in fashion with a sense of élan and playfulness. Whether your minimalist, more experiment, bohemian or kamikaze everyone is welcome to the Instagram runway where we can choose to reinterpret fashion and style. Photo Credits: jordan@u23.com.au

CINDY MARAM

M

Cindy Maram diginmag@gmail.com @diginmag & @cinmaram http://www.diginmag.com Country United States State / Region California Influencer ABOUT I completed graduate work in writing, marketing and film from a prestigious university in Southern California, U.S.A. and began working at a youth market research firm while in grad school. The agency ran a print magazine that I did some work with and I was also invited to write blog posts for an early blogging experiment before blogs were popular. I, then, was inspired to start my magazine and online publication, Dig In Magazine (DigInMag.com) focused on my passion and interest in entertainment, fashion and the arts. Since then I’ve interviewed over 50 celebrities at film festivals around the globe like Cannes Film Festival in the South of France, Venice Film Festival in Italy and Sundance Film Festival, as well travelled the world filming and photographing models and runway fashion in London, New York City and San Francisco. This September 2018 marks the 10th Anniversary of Dig In Magazine, and we’ve been blessed with all the fantastic opportunities, talented people we’ve met and experiences we’ve had over the decade! Our readers would love to get to know you more Cindy. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? We get a first look at films before they are released in the theatres, as well as get the opportunity to interview well-known filmmakers and actors. The publication has allowed me VIP access to special industry-only events all over the world. Cindy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Influencer? My passion lies in the entertainment, fashion and art industry, so I am driven to promote and get to know the talented people within this creative sphere. I started as an influencer when I launched my website and began photographing and shooting video at events—then posting the content including interviews on my site, which generated a great deal of interest online and in these industries. People started reaching out to me to be featured in the magazine. Who is your inspiration in life Cindy? How do you stay inspired as Influencer? My inspiration is the creators—the filmmakers, the artists and the designers. Their drive and the work they create inspire me to continue building. We all make mistakes Cindy; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I wish I had jumped into doing what I’m passionate about earlier in life and not let other people sway me from my interests and pursuits. Cindy, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I like to develop a personal, trusting relationship as a foundation for working together on a professional level. I believe in being straightforward and following through with the work that I’ve promised and giving 110% of my time and effort to do the best job for them as I value everyone I work with. Please tell us, Cindy, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Work is essential, but I always make time for friends and family. As for socialising, this goes hand-in-hand with my work as I’m still at events meeting people and networking. Cindy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. To persuade someone to see things my way at work, I have mapped out a strategy regarding the task I’m aiming to accomplish. And I present this strategy to people in a professional manner explaining how we are going to achieve our goals, which usually helps a person to understand my thought process better and works to persuade them. Cindy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Influencer. I’m proud of starting a publication from scratch and running it for an entire decade. That’s a huge accomplishment. I’ve also been able to use the magazine as a portfolio piece to get client work with corporations and private individuals. Cindy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? I get to be creative with my work when I’m producing and editing videos. When I’m filming an interview and asking the questions at the same time, it’s a lot to juggle. However, it’s great that others I work with see that I can “do it all.” And I love filming events and getting creative in the editing room with b-roll and interviews giving my audience a glimpse of the excitement and what I experienced there. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Influencer? * * I would say to get entrenched in the industry that you are passionate about, learn as much as you can about it—be it fashion, film or art— so that you can talk about it on and off screen. VANESSA FORCELLI

Vanessa Forcelli Vanessaforcelli@gmail.com @vanessa_forcelli Country Germany State / Region Baden-WĂźrttemberg Blogger/Model ABOUT I am Italian, but was born and raised in Germany; made in Germany from Italian parts! I am a professionally trained legal secretary and worked very hard to become the Office Manager of an international law firm (Harden, Wells & Smith). In 2009 I opened Stuttgart's first Cupcake store "The Cupcake Boutique" (my brand, not a franchise). I am also the owner of DRD4 Music, a recording studio and music label, where I produced and published two albums with my artists "Matteo Dinero" and "TC Dalton". TC Dalton won the German Rock & Pop Award in December 2017 (American country music). I am also the mother of three amazing children age 4, 5 and 10. My m a i n t a l e n t s l a y i n p ro j e c t management, creative problem solutions, being an entrepreneur and in taking people to the next level. Many people say about me that "God broke the mould"! I am a very creative person; I love fashion, f o o d a n d i n te r i o r d e s i g n a l o n g w i t h photography and travel. During my time at The Cupcake Boutique, I also offered workshops and taught my kitchen staff the secrets of cake design. At DRD4 Music I planned events and managed artists. I produced two music albums and two music videos. I did a lot of promotional work and was in charge of presenting my artists on stage. I love to sing, which I do on an almost daily basis. I never performed in public other than our karaoke studio, but this is on my list of things to do next. I like to laugh! Comedies are one of my favourite things to watch. My favourite stand-up comedian has been George Carlin. It is in my blood to try new things and to make them a success. I speak fluent English, German and Italian. Our readers would love to get to know you more Vanessa. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I enjoy learning new things, and I always go out of my way to succeed. When I don't know an answer to something, I make sure to find the correct answer, no matter how long it takes. I love challenges because they make you grow as a person. I once worked for an American who didn't speak any German. My English language skills were ok but not great at that time, so I spent my entire spare time learning English to be able to give him the support he needed. I am known for being dedicated, on top of things and to fulfil my promises. Va n e s s a , w h a t a re yo u r p a s s i o n a n d aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger? My passion is to motivate people, to think outside the box, to try new things and to never give up. I started blogging when my personal life was upside down. Life has so much to offer, and I just wanted to keep being part of it. So I put myself out there and proved to myself that no matter what happens in life, I can get through it and make a difference. Who is your inspiration in life Vanessa? How do you stay inspired as

Blogger? I get inspired by my kids and people who have a positive outlook on life despite what negative things happened to them. Being a Blogger is genuinely inspiring because you can reach out to and connect with so many people who share your interests. I get inspired by music. My favourite singer and inspiration are Ed Sheeran. And food! Yes, food inspires me. I love to cook and to try foods of different ethnicities. We all make mistakes Vanessa; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I wish I would have been more confident about who I am and what I want. I should have been more tolerant in certain circumstances. Vanessa, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I am a team player, and therefore, I do my very best to please the client. I do understand how a client thinks based on many years of experience as Office Manager and as the owner of my cupcake and music businesses. I focus on the needs of the client so that I understand precisely what the client is looking for. This gives me the chance to participate in a meaningful way. It's important to me to be able to integrate myself in any project that is given to me. Please tell us, Vanessa, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I do believe that family is the essential thing in life. But it's also important to me that I participate in social life and that I have a career that fulfils me. A right work-life balance is most effective on all levels. Vanessa, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I was working with one of my artists on his first album when he started singing an English language song. He stopped and said he was worried that he couldn't perform this song because his English was not good enough. I promised him it would turn out great using me as his coach. He was very reluctant at first and didn't believe that he could succeed. After some practice, he managed to sing the song correctly, and we ended up publishing his album with 3 German and 3 English songs. He became a lot more confident about himself, and that alone made me very, very happy! Vanessa, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. When my article got published for the first time from "momsaroundtheworld" and when Model Citizen Magazine discovered me. Vanessa, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? When I was working at my music label, one of my artists had to go on stage to perform, and I was there as his manager. The moderator suddenly backed out, and there was no alternative other than me presenting my artist on stage. Despite my racing heart, I found the strength to go on stage and to focus entirely on what my artist was all about. I managed to engage the audience with my presence and presentation. This was proof to me that when you genuinely believe in something you can succeed because everything you do comes right from your heart. It was a very successful presentation, and in the end, I was pleased about having had the chance to present my artist on my own, very personal way. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Blogger?* * You need to find out what your passion is. Once you find it, you will succeed in becoming a Blogger because you do what you love. You need to be exciting and connect with your followers. If you dedicate your time, passion and efforts, combined with patience, you will succeed. Photo Credits: Tim Smith

I am one of a kind and want to be apart of the curvy movement. Rebecca, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? I hold two associates degrees currently and am looking forward to furthering my education along the way. Our readers would love to get to know you more Alex. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I have a radiant personality. I am very sociable, edgy, uniquely gifted in my ways. I am a lefty, also an identical twin. I also have Vitiligo, which is an autoimmune skin disease that attacks the pigment colour turning my skin pure white. I find that being my brand or what I have to offer as a role model for others who share the same disease that beauty holds no limits. Alex, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? My passion is socialising and interacting with others. Being able to help others in any way possible. I want to be able to give back and live with no regrets. I aspire to develop my modelling and acting career further. I got started in modelling when I was in high school taking some acting classes. My teacher referenced some opportunities for me as she is a casting director back home in Michigan. Who is your inspiration in life Alex? How do you stay inspired as Model? My inspiration is Winnie Harlow. As I learn from watching and discovering her on America’s Next Top Model, she shared her story, and it resonated with me in my similar upbringing, aside from sharing the same skin disease. She is a huge inspiration and role model I look up to in the Modeling industry. We all make mistakes Alex; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? I wish I could tell my younger self that it is okay to come out as being gay. All throughout my middle school and high school years I moved around a lot, and got name called and bullied. I wish I had still come out and allowed myself than to express myself freely and not be so scared and burdened with holding back. Alex, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? I am very open in collaborating with clients. I keep a professional, positive attitude. I am open to criticism and take that to channel into working to get the shot the client is looking for. I am hardworking, confident, punctual as time is money. Please tell us, Alex, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I set daily task reminders in my phone, daily planner. It’s quite a juggling act, but family and friends are important to me, so I keep in touch through FaceTime, texting and social media daily especially since I live out of State from them. Work and social life I maintain a stable balance. I Always find time to have fun and enjoy some of my leisure activities because that helps me recharge myself and unplug from work. Alex, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. I worked in hotel hospitality having no experience. Me being a hard working guy. Wanting to be well rounded and learn as much as I can have talked with my manager about branching out to sister properties being able to lend a hand at their properties and be cross-trained so I can get a feel of the different atmosphere, structure, clientele that comes in and out. My manager agreed and pushed me forward to do just that for a year plus. Alex, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. As a model, I have taken a lot of still photos. One of my proudest accomplishments as a model was being able to branch out a bit more by being cast in a music video for an up and coming indie artist. This allowed me to study and understand moving frame shots and I was able to see the finished product that I was indifferent frames as a mode but also background actor. Alex, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? I worked in a retail dept store as a front end cashier manager. I was in charge of maintaining the product in the checkout lines. The original, exciting part was that I wanted to appeal to the customers in a way that would get them to stop and notice how natural the product on the shelf was. Me being empowered to do just that and put my stamp on it allowed me to show off my hard work at that moment. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * The advice I would give to people who want to get into becoming a successful model would be don’t limit yourself. Find your image or brand that makes you unique and what you have to offer shine through. Don’t give up on your goals and dreams and allow someone to tell you no you can’t. Olaf Hajek Illustrator

Olaf Hajek mail@olafhajek.com @olafhajek http://www.olafhajek.com Country Germany State / Region Berlin Illustrator ABOUT Olaf Hajek was born in Rendsburg, Germany. After he finished his degree in graphic design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, he moved to Amsterdam and began to work as a freelance artist. Olaf primarily lives and works in Berlin, but travels frequently and is represented by an agency on nearly every continent. His stylistically unique illustrations can be seen in publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, and Vogue as well as on stamps for Great Britain’s Royal Mail. His work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in Hamberg, Berlin, Atlanta and Cape Town. Our readers would love to get to know you more Olaf. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? A technically perfect illustrator, I create enchanting visual patterns, scenes and creative characters in which nature and artifice are intertwined. I collect mental images everywhere I go: on my travels, in magazines, or on the internet. African traditions, Indian temple art, South American folklore, and pop culture are all expressed in new ways in my almost surreal tableaux. I play with motifs of flora and fauna, archaic symbols and current themes, working them all into my pieces in great detail and vibrant colour. Olaf, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Illustrator? As a kid I was very much interested in the Impressionists painters and their idea about light. Later I was obsessed with the work of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele and their combination of beauty with a twist. As a student, the annuals of "American Illustration" became my bible...the approach in the illustration that time was so much more artistic as what I was used to seeing in Germany. I was always inspired and touched by the imperfection of beauty and the power of simplicity. That's why I love so much African and South American folk art and Indian miniatures. Who is your inspiration in life Olaf? How do you stay inspired as Illustrator? Flora and Fauna are a significant source of inspiration. Flowers are such symbolic elements for me. I sometimes try to paint a "real" Flower, but most of them are just self-created. The flower can be such a potent symbol of birth and death, beauty and poison and the diversity of nature. I try to combine them with animals and insects and thorns and water: a whole circle of life. As an Artist, everyday life is an inspiration. All I do, all I see and like can influence my creativity. We all make mistakes Olaf; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? We all make mistakes. However, we have to learn out of these mistakes and turn them into a challenge to extend our horizon. Olaf, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I work for client all over the world, and I love to be able to work with people from different cultures and mentalities. I am very professional if it comes to timelines and deadlines and I like to see my self as an artist and not just as a service provider. Please tell us, Olaf, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? All of this thing belong together and build a personal circle of Life. Olaf, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. In the first year of my career, I was assigned to do a cover of a magazine, which later got an ART DIRECTORS CLUB Award. This was the starting point to work in my style for professional clients. Olaf, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Illustrator. I am proud of the ability and the chance to work for many different clients and projects all over the world. I love the fact that I can do an installation for a shopping mall in South Korea, or do illustrations for a TeleNovela in Brazil or do an Art Collaboration with Swatch in Switzerland (to mention a few of my assignments). Working on so many different fields in so many different countries makes me happy and proud Olaf, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? I think I always was creative with my work. The challenge was to create a personal and unique style and to be able to work within this style for many different themes and tasks. Sometimes a very commercial client and the assignment could be tricky. However, I was always happy to find open-minded clients. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Illustrator?* * Be yourself and have a passion for what you are doing. Be creative but be able to do business as well. Don´t hide, but promote yourself. Photo Credits: Illustrator: Olaf Hajek

Jaguar Myers jaguarmyers97@gmail.com @Jaguarmyers Country United States State / Region New Jersey Others ABOUT I studied fashion business at Tobe Coburn School for Fashion Careers. I did some modelling in New York while I studied acting. At 23 I attended Muskingum University and majored in Communications with a philosophy minor. My creativity was more on the writing side. My visual arts interest came from my necktie collection and wardrobe. I've only been doing graphic arts for a year. I'm also writing 3 children's stories and a "rap opera", a theatrical play written rhyme that was inspired by Tupac Shakur remix music. I'm kind of a lost soul with the heart of an artist Our readers would love to get to know you more Jaguar. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I'm passionate and put my heart and soul into what I do. My pursuit is to exceed expectations. I believe a person doesn't live by their reputation, but I have to prove myself every day. Jaguar, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Others? My passion began with writing. Creating graphics came later in life and was based on a simple idea. However, the original idea I found to be boring, and I wanted to create graphics that were unique and didn't look like everyone else. So I did some photography, then realised I could create, no rules, create Who is your inspiration in life Jaguar? How do you stay inspired as Others? I haven't had much inspiration. Tupac Shakur inspired my current writing project, but the story formed out of rhyme. Artistically there hasn't been much inspiration. I feel as an artist I try to keep evolving. We all make mistakes Jaguar; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? I wish I weren't so trusting. It seems to be a common theme. Jaguar, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? Intuitive, open-minded and I don't fall in love with my ideas. Please tell us Jaguar, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? Gale Sayers in the book I Am Third if I remember it correctly God is 1st My family and friends are 2nd I am Third - I've always considered myself a hard worker. I'm motivated more by exceeding expectations than money. Integrity, kindness and compassion don't have price tags Jaguar, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. When I was in my 20s, I worked as a freelance image consultant. I called it Imagemaker "your image is my creation" I worked with people that had much money. Executives in all industries from entertainment to corporations. "If you aren't going to listen to me, then you don't need me". Convincing people to make subtle changes from their comfort level requires skill and being tactful. My goal was to get clients to see themselves as a brand. The style is a lifestyle. It's more than a suit, but the glasses you wear, the colours you choose. My goal was to consult people, but in the end, convince them, it's not always what you wear, but how you wear it. Understanding peoples egos, listening to their needs and convincing them they needed my expertise. Jaguar, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Others. When I was running a transportation company in the last year, I had five meetings with potential clients and landed all 5 Jaguar, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? Writing in rhyme and experiencing stories like a blank canvas, then incorporating myself into the work can be difficult, but as I've learned to be patient, creativity is challenging because it can't be forced and you have to search for a balance. Sometimes think creativity is a blessing and a curse. Not in a negative way. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Others?* * Find something you are passionate about. -- Q.L The Urban Salon of Choice Award-winning salon www.qlheadquarters.com 01933 275 353 facebook Lu, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Director? My passion and aspiration in life is the freedom to create happiness and wellbeing with all guests. However little or significant the transformation may be. I established our salon four years ago on a shoestring (i.e. not a bean behind us). It has been an extraordinary journey, and we have worked very hard to establish our business and reputation. The team has changed over the years, however now we have a fantastic lineup. I am incredibly entrepreneurial and have a keen creative eye for detail. Who is your inspiration in life Lu? How do you stay inspired as Creative Director? My inspiration in life is to change peoples lives for the better. I know that we do not have a fairy wand to make all bad experiences in life suddenly disappear. However, by saying that you can welcome, nurture and listen to guests, while giving them a pamper and make them feel a little better about themselves! We all make mistakes Lu; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back? Hmm, good question. The mistakes that I have made were perhaps poor judgment of staff recruitment in the early days. Possibly being a bit too wet behind the ears and also being held back by others. Due to my friendly nature. However, all comes right to those through learning from experiences... Lu, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients? I describe my self as a creative individual who does not believe in boundaries. All guests are treated the same, with a bit of a laugh and banter. Regardless of whatever walk of life, there is always something that strikes a cord, and that is just by having a natural human touch. Please tell us Lu, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? I have a blended family, a husband and three beautiful children. One of which is Autistic and ADHD. I have to priorities my all, to make sure that there is a balance. Lu, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. This happens daily, with hair consultations. A guest may come in with an idea of what they would like. However, with minor tweaking and offering examples of how we could potentially improve a look for them can be persuasive. We have such a broad-ranging portfolio and to be fair we are honest. I would not be able to sleep well if I felt I did a treatment that did not suit that individual or their lifestyle. Lu, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Director. My proudest moments have been this year! When we became four years old, we won three awards (Hair salon of the year, Hair colourist of the year and brow specialist of the year). I am also proud of the transformations that we have achieved and our project the NO MIRROR CHALLENGE has been phenomenal. It is a concept where the guest has a makeover and a grand reveal at the end. It has been epic. Lu, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it? We had an agent come in that was getting married. He has been suffering from male pattern baldness for a long time and had a failed hair transplant. We managed to persuade him to take part in the no mirror challenge just before his stag do. He had scalp pigmentation and a hair replacement system installed. It was pretty nerve-racking because even more so on that day, I had to be in top form. To deliver the absolute best. When it came to his grand reveal, he was emotional and in bits.... literally so was I! He has given us fantastic feedback and has gained his confidence, and I am pleased as punch! a What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Director?* * To be a successful Creative Director, you have to keep the wheels moving. There are learning curves along the way and if you fail at something. Pick yourself up and try again. You must always believe in your vision and creativity regardless of how goofy or quirky it may seem to others. Everyone starts from somewhere, and everyone has the chance to stand out, touch hearts and minds and shine! Photo Credits: Photographer Q

JACY KRETAS

Jacy Kretas jacykretas@gmail.com @greekretas https://www.instagram.com/greekretas/ Country United States State / Region Ma ABOUT I am a 2x national qualifier for track and field. Many Olympians follow my Instagram which I post track and field pictures along with modelling photos too. During the past two summers, I was a camp counsellor and Lifeguard at a camp. At camp, there are many skits and improv that goes along with it. They were both things I acceded at during my time, and also have been told I am a people person with a natural attraction. Whether it be becoming close friends with a five-yearold, finding similar engaging interests with people my age, or being able to present myself to people older than me has always been a strength of mine. Our readers would love to get to know you more Jacy. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? I had the 2nd best mark in the pentathlon this previous winter out of the U.S. and Canada. Going to nationals meeting people like Omar McCleod (Rio Gold Medalist) and having them tell me I have a bright future is something I take pride in and believe not many other people have the opportunity or skillset to have goals of becoming an Olympian like myself. Therefore, I have found my niche of track and field fitness photos which has recently started to grow and coincide very well with my modelling account on Instagram. Receiving many verified follower's engagements. Jacy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model? If I can achieve my goal of representing Greece in the Olympics, I will forever be satisfied with my life. My modelling career began when I was receiving various emails or dms from modelling agencies. This was about two months ago when I signed my first modelling contract. Who is your inspiration in life Jacy? How do you stay inspired as Model? Ashton Eaton is an American Decathlete and World Record holder in the decathlon. I certainly always aspire to become him of course but also a better version of myself every day. My daily life consists of routinely working out, acquiring as much knowledge from people at my agency to become better in front of the camera and add to my networking, and also learning more about photography and marketing to give myself an edge on social media and in the athletic world. Certainly when my main goal and niche is fitness related modelling is something that fits like a puzzle piece. We all make mistakes Jacy; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? During my search for colleges, I received 2 division 1 offers for track and field. Manhattan College and Louisville, however, I did not choose either of the schools because they were quite expensive. Sports only got me half the cost of attendance off, and if I were to have tried harder in my first couple years in high school, those schools could've been a reality. However they still can be since I plan on transferring after the spring season, and working with more offers, I receive for track and field. Jacy, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? My mind I would say is always focused on one thing. Improving myself, and there is no better way and better oneself without the help of others. Networking is a huge thing in today's day and age, and if you look at the big pages on Instagram, there are so many cross-promotions to help grow their own page. Now how this would work with clients is I'd explain this to them how working together will have a large magnitude of opportunities if we were to collaborate. As a very charming, charismatic, and intelligent person working with any client would come very easy. Please tell us Jacy, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? What I consider my job right now is school, track, and modelling. Those are in order what I am focused on the most. Now they certainly do overlap, however. A big part of my social life is all three of those categories, which helps me create engagement and content for my Instagram. Being one of the best athletes at my college let alone the nation comes with some publicity. The school really gives me the stepping stone to show everyone my hard work from track and modelling. My closest friends are a gym buddy of mine, a friend from middle school where we won the best friends superlative, and lots of people I've met through track and field. They all understand my busy schedule but are there with me through it all. And the reason I am talking about my family last because they have been a part of it all always guiding me to set me up for the success I have achieved so far, but more importantly what's in store for the future. Jacy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully. As a lifeguard, I was very serious about maintaining a very structured plan on how to run our facility. I took the leadership role when it was my second year as a lifeguard at camp. Counsellors come from all around the world with certifications, and they differ from in America. However, they may transfer over they do not run the same way here. So I explained all the proper ways to the other international lifeguards how to improve as lifeguards, so we are more efficient. Instead of telling them how they are doing is wrong it is always better to look towards how to improve because people will respond better. Jacy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. I have only experienced a few photo shoots. However, I do have a runway gig coming up in Boston which I am very excited for. Jacy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? I wish I remember the name of the photographer, but he was the photographer for Marie Claire. However, I ran into him in the studio after a, and he gave me tons of tips and just was so spontaneous and at the moment not knowing who he was it was very difficult to acquire as much as I could from him. We had a very fun shoot though just in the studio as there wasn't a lot to make of I was able to impress him with my the little experience I had and how I wasn't shy at all and could be myself. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Try and to inform yourself of all the ways to gain that exposure and attention, and always to be very determined and never give up. Your time will come when someone will notice the true talent you have that others will be happy to show you off so we can all appreciate.

DOLLY MARIA

AH

Dolly Mariah Dollymariah13@gmail.com @Dolly_Mariah Country United States State / Region NY Young Model ABOUT I go by the name Dolly aka #Thebighairdoll because of the different big hair wigs that I like to style in. The most enjoyable moments in modeling to me is that I can express myself without saying a word. I enjoy being myself and I like to express that in front of the camera(s). I love being creative and different. From social media to any environment that I'm in people would usually reach out saying they appreciate my art, style and image. That definately encourages me to go above and beyond with my creativity and help me grow more into who I truly am. I studied film at Barnard college and it was a great experience. After some time I realized that my truest desires in other things may require for me to take a break from college life. I then started recording lots of music, and pursued modeling. While growing up in Teaneck, NJ I also attended 3 dance schools, so i also wanted to get back into the groove of dancing and creating new styles with my art. I appreciate the world of creators of originality. Being different and original is one of the most unique ways on how someone or someone's art can make a difference. Our readers would love to get to know you more Dolly. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer? The unique part about me is that I am different. I am not intimidated by failure. I try new things and take that extra step to be recognized and noticed. Dolly, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Young Model? I started modeling as an adolescent. My first shoot was with Timothy GreenfieldSanders for the "I Geek" library campaign. The shoot was held in his home and he used this very old refurbished camera from the 20's. In his kitchen was some of the finest catering and in the bathroom changing was James Franco. I did my best to act natural but it was in that moment I realized, while being surrounded by such professionalism, luxury, celebrity and creativity I aspire to be a part of this. Modeling is a deep passion of mine because it has the power to aspire others to be more bold, cunning. To take care of your mind or in this case read more. I want to be a model that represents more than just beauty but intellect, art and brilliance with a killer aesthetic. Who is your inspiration in life Dolly? How do you stay inspired as Young Model? I am very inspired by Quentin Tarantino films because of its boldness in aesthetic and story line. I stay inspired by watching movies because they give me great creative influences to try fun and exciting looks for shoots. We all make mistakes Dolly, we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back? I wish I was more selective about the kind of people I kept around me. Dolly ,How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients? I am a fun client, that enjoys positive and creative environments. I like a photographer that is skilled at one's craft and is attentive to my needs and preferences. Please tell us Dolly, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family? At this moment in my life I don't have family and friend pressures. Part of my work is being seen both on and off camera, so socializing and working pretty much go hand in hand. Dolly, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work. I do not work with people that don't see things my way. As a freelance Model, a lot of my opportunities come from photographers that see my work and want to contribute. Dolly please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Young Model. My proudest professional accomplishment was doing the "i geek" campaign and runway for Fashion Week Brooklyn. I loved the "i geek" campaign because it solidified that modeling is definitely viable career path for me. I loved doing runway because as a petite model most designers won't hire a petite model for runway which sucks because runway is so much fun and it is alienating to reject a demographic of women that is very large. Most women aren't 5'11, they are 5'2, 5'4 etc. Also I was told countless times that my walk is not "standard" and I won't get hired with my walk . Not only did I get hired by multiple designers, my walk is a sensation and a big part of my brand. Dolly, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it? I always take work that allows me to be creative. It is exciting because I get to be myself and thrive in a function that is natural to me. It is thrilling to give birth to a look, or an outfit that no one else can quite pull off the way I do because it's MY creation. What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Young Model? I would tell a young model never betray your integrity for a shoot or a photographer. It is never worth it. Always be confident in the photos you represent because pictures are forever.
