What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Lucie?

I am now working on an exclusive collection; I tend not to be bound by Seasons. The plan is to produce low quantities because I want to put a lot of handwork in many pieces. So every part is unique.

How do you communicate with people Lucie? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?

People who buy my clothes usually like the style, so I don't have to make changes. I am patient and enthusiastic.

If you had to do it over again, what would you change Lucie?

I am just starting up, so I expect to make mistakes, but I like to see them as an opportunity to grow in my creativity.

Who is your hero Lucie, and how have they helped you get to where you are?

My hero is my father. He was creative in every aspect of his life.

He is the one who took me to the Academy of arts, every Sunday morning when I was only a little girl. When he suddenly died, I enrolled for the academic to become a fashion designer. I was unique because of my age. I started five years ago when I was 42. He would have loved this. I think of him with every show I do, every design I make.

How vital are creative education courses Lucie?

Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?

I did four years on the academic in Sint Niklaas, graduated June 2016. I learned so much! How to put my ideas and concepts into clothes. I also did workshops knitwear, screenprinting, laser cutting, silk painting,... I love to learn new things!

Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?

Work hard, dream harder!

It was not intentional as I was looking for something that I can do aside from doing IT stuff. I chose to study photography as I was so curious why some of my friends are doing something on their camera before shooting things as I think that it is just as simple as clicking it and, viola, you have the picture on your camera.

So I decided to explore what's in it, as I heard some of my friends talking about aperture, shutter speed and iso, and others things, which is unfamiliar to me and never been heard before :) I bought an entry-level camera and enrolled in photography, learned the basics, but it doesn't stop there as I was so curious, again, about lighting, and I found my self almost enrolling everything about photography and continue learning things and techniques, and so on... And after six months of studying it, I was given an opportunity to shoot commercially, and the rest was history.

We all make mistakes Mapoo; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you want to you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Measuring lights are the things I always forgot when I am just starting in photography.

Before once I on the views and shoot my subjects, I already forgot to measure lights every time we change layouts, and it cost us a lot in post-processing. Measuring light is a MUST in this field.

Mapoo, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Well, regarding delivery, I still believe that you can quickly deliver great images when you were shooting something that inspires you. In the world of commercial and advertising, your clients are the one who lay down layouts. Things that are out of your control anymore, it's either those layouts inspire you or not. At first, I am having a difficult time absorbing arrangements that don't encourage a lot, but I have already adjusted to the world of advertising. Before the shoot, clients will send you full layouts which include all the looks and mood of the images that they want, since it is sent ahead of time, you have all ample time to research and study the projects thoroughly, and this will help to inspire yourself to the project that you will do.

Regarding prioritising clients, I haven't had yet overlapping clients as I do proper scheduling of the projects that I will do. But when the time comes, and you need to select projects that I will do, I'll go for the one who inspires me a lot, so it will also reflect on my images and deliver what my client is expecting. Quality will make you win clients.

Please tell us Mapoo, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Our readers would love to get to know you more Jeannette. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?

On the one hand, I am interested in people and love to peel their personality into my photos. On the other hand, I love creating and staging something new. In connection with a model always something unique arises.

Jeannette, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

Life itself is my passion. I am an explorer and always love to explore new people, things and places.

I became a Photographer by chance. I had an agency with whom I offered musical teambuilding and needed continuously new emotional imagery. I was dissatisfied with the booked photographers and just did it myself. That's how I discovered my love for photography.

Who is your inspiration in life Jeannette? How do you keep inspired?

In retrospect, it is all my experiences and people who have been with me and believed in me. I am open-minded and always try to get better and create something new. That's a big motivation for me.

In one work, I gave preference to another Photographer because I thought he had more experience. Today I know that experience cannot compensate for the feeling of photography and I am grateful for this experience.

Jeannette, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

First and foremost, I try to build trust with my clients and want them to feel fully understood. When they realise that I have all their needs in mind, they can easier let go of their imagination and get involved in something new.

Please tell us, Jeannette, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Sometimes I have several photo sessions in different places in one day, which can be very stressful. For me, it´s best to be well prepared for it.

Jeannette, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

As a photographer, I convince people by showing pictures or trying to create images in the head of my counterpart.

Jeannette, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment as a photographer was when I won a competition at the beginning of my career that meant a lot to me.

Jeannette, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

The following pictures are an excellent example of my creativity.

Here I worked with coloured light for the first time. And… of course it was exciting and a challenge to get it the way I imagined it.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Believe in yourself, practice a lot and do not give up when it gets difficult!

Our readers would love to get to know you more Tom. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?

After I started with photography, I realised that I wasn't getting enough satisfaction out of my pictures. I wanted them to be better and learned Photoshop. With this tool, I was getting the results I wanted. I could retouch my pictures in a professional way, a commercial way. Then I knew that this was what I wanted. So I became a commercial photographer. I do models and products. For me, they are the same. A model is just a big product, and they both must be presented at their best.

Tom, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

I started as a photographer when I wanted to know what all the buttons on my new DSLR were for. I wanted to know what the possibilities were. I didn't like the "auto"-mode.

My passion is to see my pictures published and used in the commercial industry. I want to look at a picture and say that that one is mine.

Who is your inspiration in life Tom? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?

I consider myself as a good photographer and retoucher, but there are a lot of them that are way better. They inspire me. I look up to them and want to reach their level. Photographers like Michael Woloszynowicz, Julia Kuzmenko, Peter Schafrick, Vadim Chiline, ...

We all make mistakes Tom; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?

When I started shooting models, I saw a lot of pictures on Facebook with covered nudity and they were getting a lot of "likes". I thought this was the way to go. When I now think about it, it was not the way to go. Although I did get a lot of "likes", it didn't make me a better photographer.

Tom, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

I always listen very carefully to clients. What they want is the most important. After listening to them, I come up with ideas witch may help to improve their wishes. But I always keep in mind what they want.

Please tell us, Tom, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

My family comes first, no matter what. But they support me very much with my business. My social life and photography go side by side. When you want to achieve something in photography, you get to know a lot of people in photography.

Tom, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

There was a time when I was shooting with a model, and she mostly did erotic shoots. On set, she always was trying to put an erotic element in the shots. I told her that that didn't make her a better model. I convinced her do leave all the nudity behind and go for a natural look fully clothed. These were her best pictures ever.

Tom, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.

It was the first time a company hired me to shoot their products. I was so proud to see my pictures on their website and the boxes of the products.

Tom, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

It was when I was shooting for my portfolio. It was a shot of a drink in water. The challenge was very exciting. The lighting, the compositing, the retouching, ... It is displayed on the homepage of my website.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Do things of witch you think you are not capable of doing them. Get out of your comfort zone. Do things of witch you are sure you will fail the first time and do them again and again. Challenge yourself.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I would like to collaborate with local brands in Belgium. Belgium is a very small country, and all the big brands get their pictures from the main office abroad. But with local brands, I believe it can be a win-win situation.

I work as a model, but acting is my niche. Acting is not only my art, but it also becomes my reality, and I get lost in it. Growing up in different countries around the world, Mozambique, Chile, Nigeria, Berlin etc. and travelling across Europe, Africa and even setting my foot in the Middle East in Lebanon, I developed a broad sense of adventure, and more importantly, an ability to change myself, at will, to anyone I could imagine. I also have a nerdy side where I study physics and chemistry as a double major, so you can assume that The Big Bang Theory is my ultimate fantasy and that I know all the lines of The Lord of The Rings trilogy, well I do. I am creative and like to push the limits of what I'm given, whatever it may be. I love to invent new concepts; I want to do what no one has ever done and gone where none have gone, and I never give up. I'd say the unique thing about me is my face, I am not conventional in any sense, and somehow, it works.

Carla, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Actor?

I want to inspire those around me, every girl that thinks less of herself, every mother who thinks its too late and every lost young adult; there is a way if you make a move. I have always lived in my fantasy as a child but now the world I created lives around me. I have a desire to be creative in everything I do, and acting/modelling is the perfect platform for me to be as free as I want to be. My first shoot was arranged through a photographer that contacted me, he said I had a fascinating look, and he'd love to capture it, I guess with me its always one word, "interesting" or "unique”.

Who is your inspiration in life Carla? How do you stay inspired as Actor?

I get inspiration from real people around me that have succeeded despite significant drawbacks and struggles; I also get inspired from my travels, the beauty of the landscape is so exhilarating it compels me to get out there and follow my dreams.

We all make mistakes Carla; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

I am no stranger to making mistakes; in fact, I welcome them as they force me to grow. If I had to choose one error that affected me the most, it would be one I made at the tender age of 16. I was not a typical teenager, I didn't go to sleepovers, I didn't own a cellphone, and on top of that I was always the tallest, and if there was another girl as tall as I was, she was much thinner. I was not skinny, I was not blonde, and I didn't have brightly coloured eyes. I couldn't see the beauty in my bushy eyebrows, my tiny nose and my long palm tree legs. I only saw my self as different when I should have seen myself as unique and beautiful.

Carla, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

I tend to get along with almost anyone due to my international background, and I believe that excellent communication gets better results. I am focused towards the goal, and I make sure that we reach it.

Please tell us, Carla, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

Family comes first. I make the time for the essential things in my life and schedule work hours for all of my projects; I am flexible.

Carla, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

It is important to me that the desired goal of the client/photographer is reached and that they are satisfied with the result, once that is accomplished I tend to bring up any creative ideas I may have which usually sparks an interest as I get along with the client/photographer very well, relationships are key. I had a studio shoot planned with a photographer, and after some time, once we got our shot, I was able to convince him to shoot outside as well, he was pleased with the results and so was I. Carla, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Actor.

I am proud when I see improvement; my proudest moments are where I can inspire others. Lately, I have been getting such great feedback on my work and new clients contacting me, but most importantly, the exposure and constant support from others who both agree with and are inspired by my message "different are always beautiful."

Carla, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

While in South Africa I worked on an underwater shoot with German photographer Kim Raaf, the water was icy, and I had some difficulty keeping a strong face while holding my breath. We soon found a solution (letting out some air before shooting), and I was able to stay underwater for more extended periods of time. Once we got the shot we needed, we came up with the idea to shoot between the reeds/lily pads for a darker themed shoot, and the results were phenomenal.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Actor?* * I think the best way to be successful is to learn from your own experiences, without growth you cannot succeed and we all take a different road, the best advice I can give is to be confident in yourself, you cannot expect others to be interested in what you have to offer if you are not. Never make the mistake of thinking you have nothing more to learn, growth is constant, and those who stop growing as artists are the ones that don't make it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of partnership you are looking for?

I love to work with talented and creative artists, I want to push boundaries, and I want to inspire others to be more adventurous and not confined by perceptions. My dream collaboration as an Actress would be to play a tough yet mysterious character in a fantasy film or to play a strong and empowering woman in a historical movie. As a model, my ideal collaboration would be a new and inspiring fashion statement (targeting woman who need motivation), a sporting campaign or an exotic beauty editorial that breaks the typical barriers of what beauty is.

Throughout elementary school and middle school, I was a professional dancer in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap and lyrical for eight years. I stopped before high school because I wanted to focus more on my education. During high school, I did small jobs here and there for modelling. I didn’t start kicking things into gear until a little over a year ago. This being my career as a model and an advocate. I currently work as a hostess and a nanny.

While I was in high school, I was able to volunteer for many charities. Help the school out with events track events. Making and delivering Valentine’s Day cards for a local senior home. Organizing the food bags that would go out every Thursday for kids who didn’t have a lunch. I have also volunteered at an elementary school in Denver where I helped out with their field day and was an assistant second-grade teacher. Recently I worked with a store similar to goodwill where I organised the clothes made dinner for the volunteers and help hold the food drive. I’ve tried to always give back to my community. Being a model, I don’t see myself as a model. I consider myself as a role model as well. That being someone who speaks for others. Someone who has a voice and isn’t afraid to use it. That is me, ask my 4th-grade teacher, she always caught me trying to talk, but I still had something to say. That never stopped me from being me. A woman who ever had to stand up for what she firmly believed in. I had power. When I was growing up, that was my power. It still is, and I want to be able to use that to be an advocate to stand against the stigma against suicide. I want to be an advocate for schools elementary school the younger generation mainly. I want to be able to provide the next generation with the same mindset that I had growing up. That no matter what your circumstances are growing up in life it is not what defines you. It’s your choices that define you. Experience will give you opportunities, but life will test you. Make you break down to your last point. It’s you who decides the choice, are you going to sit there and wait for life to change. Sit there and listen to the negativity thinking of it as a failure.

Or you can make a difference. Find a new way around it. Show people young and old what you have to start doing to change your life positively. How to stay focused when life gives you your greatest tests. It’s not easy, but I don’t feel there enough recourses out there that are promoting life skills that help you balance stress. There are studies about working out and trying to change your diet, but I want to focus on the mindset. How to keep your mind healthy. Offering the younger generation guidance towards ways to cope with their struggle. I am not finished there. Being a model, I do have goals. I want to be on the cover of Vogue(British, Italia, and more) I will walk the Victoria secret runway one day. Be able to put the wings on and fly. One day I will be in sports illustrated and get rookie of the year. These are only half of what I see my self in accomplishing for my career. Currently, I use my Instagram to promote self-worth, positivity, and little daily reminders of how to stay on track to a healthier lifestyle.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Nicole. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?

I can offer hope. Hope that someone is out there making a difference. Shifting things towards the right direction for the next generation. I am Unique because I am a polish woman who works two full-time jobs, but I do it with a smile. I will always keep a good head on my shoulders even if you feel like it’s the worst day I always try to find the silver lining. You always have to see the good, and that is me someone who can see the good. Offer kindness, offer grit and resilience.

Nicole, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I am passionate about modelling it made me speak up and have more confidence in myself embracing the real me. I found it so natural to sit in front of the camera and develop a whole new character! My aspirations are to be involved in the community constantly, to speak about topics no one wants to talk about. Support the issues that have a strong belief in.

Who is your inspiration in life Nicole? How do you stay inspired by Model?

The people that inspire me are my mom and my dad. Without them, I don’t know who I would be. My father passed away in this last September due to suicide. I refused to let his death change the way I looked at him. He taught me how to speak my mind. He taught me how to live life and live it without any fear go for it. My father taught me how to be confident and to be fearless. My mom taught me never to let anyone bring you down. That I had to be strong regardless of what anyone would try to say or do. My mom shows me strength and heart. This has inspired me every day as a model to live with no fear. To never think you can’t because I am capable of much more.

We all make mistakes Nicole; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

I know you say there are mistakes that we wish we could take back, but personally, I don’t. Mistakes have moulded me to become the strong woman I am today. Without them, you can’t grow. My goal is to become a better version of myself every day, and that means I have to improve. I have to learn from the mistakes.

Nicole, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

When there is work needed to be done, I don’t sleep until the job is done. Regarding working with me, it’s someone who is determined and never wants to live a day with regret. I will do anything and everything to get the job done. I am a camillian that adapts to the situation with a good head on my shoulders. I am persistent; I am efficient.

Please tell us, Nicole, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

I prioritise my work first. My work reflects what I look like. I’ve learned that if you put mediocrity out into the world, you’ll get mediocrity right back. I then prioritise my family everything I have accomplished I owe to my family. Friends and social life I consider in the same category. But friends and social life are last on the line!

Nicole, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I was the Front Desk Agent at the Radisson Hotel in Colorado Springs. Stepping into the position I had no idea about hospitality, and I was the youngest. I had to earn my spot. Eventually, I made my place by educating myself about the job position. I was able to prove to the company that I am more than a young woman. I am unstoppable.

Nicole, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.

My proudest model would have to be this past year. I am a freelance model by choice in Denver. I wasn’t opposed to signing, but I had a bigger vision than to be in Denver my whole life. But I was able to accomplish more being on my own. Every item I had written down on a list over a year ago. I achieve Denver’s Fashion Week. It was an honour to walk two nights this past spring show! Denver’s Unique Week Of fashion I walked two nights. As well as Red Ball it was in November. Red Ball was raising money for AIDS. It was a terrific moment. Because it was everything, I stand for. Showing that models aren’t here to look good, we have something to say.

Nicole, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

The time I shog on the National Great Sand Dunes. I was able to take full advantage of the shoot, and the location was perfect. The only issue was that it started to rain!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * To never let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do. You are beautiful strong and bold. You can’t lose faith or hope in yourself that’s what matters most.

I was photographing as far back s I can remember. I was offered a part-time job 31 yrs ago by the lady who shot my first child.

I was hooked. One day I will shoot for Vogue magazine.

Who is your inspiration in life Cindi? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?

The fashion world inspires me; it plain moves me. From the hair and makeup to the way the fabric flows in front of the lens. I adore the artificial world of fashion.

I wish I could take back all the years I wasted snapping everything that moved instead of focusing on what I was truly meant to shoot which was fashion and beauty.

I love to mould my subjects into art, plain and simple. I like to reveal things to them in front of the lens they did not know existed. That’s a magical moment for me as an artist.

I work a lot, but my family knows I am dedicated to my art. They help to keep me grounded, and I love them for that. I wouldn’t be able to do it without them.

Kourosh always listens to me, and we make magic together. He is my favourite designer, and we have grown so much together as artists. It was huge for me to have all four judges stand up and walk over to carefully examine my work and then award me the Fuji Film Masterpiece award. That was a big day. I was so honoured.

Cindi, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

Working on the streets of New York City is a challenge but oh so rewarding. I could tell you so many stories about batteries dying, people challenges and wardrobe malfunctions. It was all worth it to see the final products!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Never give up, through all the blood sweat and the tears, keep pressing on!

I love art in all the form. I love real fashion, not shopping but fashion. I started as a kid I was trying to do my clothes.

Everything. I walk in the street; I take pictures of everything. I go to the museum. I listen to music, and of course, I have plenty of books about McQueen, Lanvin etc.

When I have a vision of something, sometimes it's hard when the people in front of you don't get it. And I can get frustrated about that.

Bertille, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Designer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

My big book. I note everything in a lot of different color etc. I'm maybe too organized.

Please tell us Bertille, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Designer?

It's almost every day. Pick the right shooting, with the right model and at night to draw the perfect new collection. It's a 100% work.

Bertille, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I'm working alone, so everything that I do, I'm always ok with it. But when I have to work with photographers, I always have to explain why I want my model's bare foot and not in heels because I feel like women need comfort and nobody is walking in the living room in lingerie/heels.

Bertille, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Designer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

In Septembre, I'll do the Vancouver Fashion Week. It's my first one, and the called and convinced me to do it. It's not done yet, but I'm very proud to be able to do it.

Bertille, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

It was a photoshoot in Bushwick, Brooklyn with a young photographer. The model was shy, and not so confident. So I asked her to jump, and play, and be super natural. In the end, the result was amazing. It was hard to do it, but we were all super happy.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Designer?* * Listen to your teacher, because if they know.

Draw every day. Don't be shy and talk about your work to everybody. And don't be scared to work a lot because you may be alone on this journey but it's worth it.

Dara, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passions and inspirations in my photography world are to get published and work with amazing magazines- I love creating mood-boards and coming up with amazing ideas for photo shoots that tell an interesting and strong message.

My interest in photography began when I was 16 years old and studied the subject in GCSEs. I then moved on to furthering my studies in A-levels and getting a BTEC National Photography Diploma. After this, I assisted the photographer, Bernhard Deckert, where we worked for clients such as Alexander McQueen, JW Anderson and Liberty.

After working for almost two years for Bernhard Deckert, I decided to move on and start working independently.

Who is your inspiration in life Dara? How do you stay inspired as Photographer?

I am always reading magazines that are filled with inspiration, some of my absolute favourites are ID magazine, Dazed and Love. Of course Model citizen magazine as well :)I love being creative and love fashion! There is just so much to discover and create. The opportunities are endless.

We all make mistakes Dara; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

Start to work independently sooner and possibly go freelance earlier. Fear of failing held me back. I know how it is essential to fail to grow and learn. I am ready to stumble now :)

Dara, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

Confident, calm, ambitious and creative.

Please tell us, Dara, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

To balance your work and personal life is a challenge. I am still learning but have a stronger appreciation and drive to restore it equally.

Dara, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I have persuaded to change a few things at base childrenswear. For example, the way we photographed and styled garments. I added an extra light to speed up the process in the retouching stage. Also, my styling of scarves, hats and bags was different to the way it was done before, and I helped them see how it looked cleaner and would be a better selling point.

Dara, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.

Making the transition from full-time to freelance photographer and retoucher.

Dara, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work.

What was exciting or challenging about it?

In my spare time, I love being creative in my test photoshoots. I like to create an idea and bring it to life. I think about the colours, makeup, location and styling that will all combine to make the image stand out and make it unique. The challenge here is to get my idea across to my team so everyone can fully understand my vision- I strive for this challenge, and it is so satisfying when it has been appropriately accomplished. Also, I have another example at one of my jobs such as at UniQ studios. I was assigned to photograph still life imagery for Huntsman of their tailor jackets. By creating a realistic image of hanging jackets was a more significant challenge than one would think. Even the detail shots were more of a problem. Something simple may take a long time to capture creatively yet objectively. The patience, focus and concentration are essential to achieve and produce that final image.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* *

Get out there.. start and keep on shooting. Don't stop and never give up. Let your passion and ambition take over.

Yes, I am always on the hunt to work with other like-minded fashion talents, brands and creatives. I would love to work on collaborations for fashion, editorials, and still life photography. I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and what they have to offer. I believe when being able to step outside of what you're used to, you can expand on what life has to offer you.

Stephanie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I began modelling six years ago. Before that, I was very camera shy and was ashamed of my looks. According to the people who saw me on a daily basis, I was ugly; I was too skinny, I was baldheaded. But as I grew older, I didn't care what was said about me. I saw how good I looked on camera, and I was proud of who I was, and who I am still growing to be. My passion and my first love will always be dance. I began dancing at the tender age of 7 years old. But modelling has become my best friend over the past few years.

Who is your inspiration in life Stephanie? How do you keep inspired?

My biggest inspiration is my parents, my son, and my boyfriend. My parents have always taught me to follow my dreams, no matter what it is. Seeing my son day in and day out, I can only imagine when he gets older what life will be like for him. I want to ensure my son and future children have the best life that I can give them. I also look to instil those same morals and values in him as well. My boyfriend is a wonderful supporter, and my love for him is unconditional, because of how much he has my back.

Never had any bad encounters with colleagues in the modelling industry.

However, if I could ever take go back in time to the beginning of my career in modelling. I wish I would've invested more time in my craft. When I say invest, I seriously mean put forth an effort and work hard, because having a child and attempting to follow your dreams, is not the easiest.

Stephanie, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

Prioritizing is important when trying to deliver for a client, I make sure we have meetings before our established project. Make sure we are clear and thorough on what are needs are to get the job done.

Please tell us, Stephanie, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I enjoy discussing the theme and concepts of all of my shoots with photographers. This is so they understand the quality of my work as I will do for theirs.

Most recently, setting up a meeting with a photographer. I was able to discuss exactly the look needed in addition to logistics etc. for this upcoming shoot. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I don't have accomplishments because I am still looking to get my name out there to the world, so they will know who I am.

What was exciting or difficult about it?

Creativity takes a lot of thought. It takes a lot out of me to study my poses, faces, body language etc. before shooting. That happens with me for every single shoot I've had thus far.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model? * * WORK, and INVEST in yourself! You have to earn this if you want it.

I like to approach all my work as a collaboration and try not to push my ideas. I find that there is always a happy middle or time to complete both points of view.

Patricia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Pushing through my limitations and to continue to work is a personal accomplishment for me.

I love murals but working with them in photography can be tricky. I particularly wanted a mural by Gloria Muriel and a ballerina. I loved the challenge of using the mural as a background and not losing the ballerina in it.

Everything I’ve ever done with photography was self-taught. I didn’t attend college; I didn’t think it was the right place for me. I’ve always felt this drive to do more for myself, and I wasn’t going to let school get in the way of my education.

Alex, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

I would love to work with high fashion models. Perhaps product photography. I started out my journey as a photographer when a girlfriend of mine was a pageant titleholder. I saw the people she was shooting with, and I loved the artwork that could be created. Ever since then, I’ve had this drive to create my images. Show the world what I see. It’s truly a great feeling.

Who is your inspiration in life Alex? How do you keep inspired?

My father. He’s my inspiration. Through all that I do, I remember the him-his drive to learn and be a better person than he was before. I lost him a few years ago. But I won’t ever forget the man he was.

I honestly don’t know of a time when a situation could have been handled better than what it was. I’m a reasonable person; I try my very best to be fair in the things I do. I work hard for what I have, and I help others figure out their drive and passion.

Alex, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

The most important thing to understand is knowing your limit.

Understand your work and doing your best to every client. The work I have is a reflection of my name. Just like any other “job”, people talk, and your work is judged. It’s best to do things right the first time.

Please tell us, Alex, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Well, days when I’m booked from morning to afternoon, I strategically put the shoots in a specific order to have the light and feel of the day accommodate the specific shoot. For instance, if I’m looking to shoot moody images, I’d wait until a golden hour to truly fulfil that style I’m looking for.

Alex, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

Well, what I do is I show that I completely understand where the other individual is coming from. I make it clear that I understand. After that’s done, I then share my side of the argument. Usually when I share that I understand where the other individual is coming from. I usually persuade them.

Alex, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Proudest moment was a time when I was asked by the CEO of a company to shoot for them because they enjoyed my work. Till this day, we have a strong relationship.

Alex, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I once had a model come with me on a city bus and shoot on it. It was different, creative. The images were wonderful. It was tough because of other riders, but we were both happy with the outcome. All I had to do was shoot at f1.4 and blur that background to get rid of the bystanders.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?*

Stick to it. Learn, learn and learn. You win some, and you lose some. Stay true to yourself. Remember why you began to shoot.

Don’t compare yourself to other photographers. Shine under your work. Be proud of it.

Christina, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Creative Director?

My passion is to create for people, opportunity and pleasure in it keeps me at it.

I began creative directing when I realised I was too precise and occasionally bossy to work under another person's style. I had to take some time to make my statement. It was not easy; I lost a friend or two in this process.

But my results are accurate to who I am, as theirs are to them. Once finding my style, I began cultivating like-minded creative's without trying.

Who is your inspiration in life Christina? How do you stay inspired as Creative Director?

My Chinese grandmother, Chen Xie Wei. She was a brilliant woman, full of grace who taught me to eat each grain of rice from my bowl and to be sincere. To conserve yourself, dilute the pain, and grow from it.

I thrive in my art from my pain, sometimes years go by, and I will recall time for the feeling. It makes your work relatable.

Nostalgia, is my second choice, as there's nothing better than reminiscing about a time where things were gentler. It's bittersweet.

Those who present unkind words, who are unjust, and green fuel me. They keep me working for a better standing of my own two feet, so that one day I may help another to do the same. But better.

We all make mistakes Christina; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

Not loving my Irish grandmother as equally as I did my Chinese grandmother.

I allowed others' fear and opinion change my mind and waive my care towards her.

I spent nine years on and off sleeping on a couch to make room for the elders in the house. It pushed me away, made me bitter.

With how young I was it was difficult to witness her hollering and to lash out. So I spent time hiding and avoiding her and anyone with loud tones.

Even as I grew, my stubbornness kept me from truly thriving.

If I could have the chance I would go back and reach out, yell at her to be stronger, to work out, eat healthily. Push or pull her toward the light, and made her last days filled with happiness. I would take it all back. Because despite her actions through got and anger, deep past it all was love for me.

By acting that way I caused a deep scar on myself, and regret is only a fraction of the repercussions.

It was interesting how calm the situation became when the proper words were chosen, that's the key, and the differs ce between fueling the fire with gasoline or putting it out with water.

I kept firmly in mind that he was twice my age and only a single position above me. That it must be uncomfortable for someone to be surrounded by people half his age who are unique and talented in their mannerisms and life paths.

I didn't make him see it my way, but the truth of the matter at hand. We carefully paved our way

toward the situation, telling him to give us options and communicate with us what his plan of action is. This was a beneficial middle ground if he were to leave us alone for 5 to 10 minutes, allowing us space to conduct our jobs accordingly.

And soon after he became calmer. Speaking more patiently, and being more allowing.

Christina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Creative Director.

A motion graphics film response to an AIDS documentary in college.

This project was given directly after watching this moving, and harsh documentation of AIDS in America during its outbreak.

I chose a song by FKA Twigs, Pendulum' for the video. In turn, two friends and I choreographed an

entire story into the duration of that song on the simple command after being informed the context, to shut your eyes and feel your heart, and dance through your soul.

I used everyone's first take and edited it into a story that took my professor's breath away. There were wardrobe and body paint done by yours honestly, but with honesty, it was brilliant because they poured their soul into it.

Christina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

My friend Lee's painting commission, something that started as a conversation between two Instagrammers became my next project.

I had free reign as I dealt all my ideas and abilities, and since he's so open and willing. I had no restraints on my project for him.

It's the most stress-inducing commission for a perfectionist as this is my third time re-doing it. I'm so thankful for his patience and understanding, and this third time is indeed the charm.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Creative Director?* * Find yourself and be true to you, you will lose friends and partners, but that's because life is opening you up to new people and possibilities.

Looking back to our childhoods now we go " Oh wow I was like that, jeez what was I thinking" and I assure you we will be thinking just the same ten years down the line. So grow and be you.

I remember when I was shooting in a studio and saw a spray bottle and a picture frame, and wanted to catch a rainy window kind of look. I have never tried that before that day but it worked, and it looked very much like a wet window portrait. It was fascinating discovering a new little photography hack.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * J u s t b e p a t i e n t a n d i n v e s t y o u r e n e r g y, t i m e , a n d m o n e y i n t o i t i f y o u ' r e g o i n g t o b e s u c c e s s f u l . I am a super hard worker. I have been acting since the age of 6 and modeling since the age of 14. I am true to my brand and stick up for myself. I know my limits and know how my angles in front of the camera.

Alora, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I started as a model after I started my acting career. Once I got into the acting scene at age 6, I started to love the modeling side of the industry. Since I was y’all and knew my brand already, I had a blast working with photographers.

Who is your inspiration in life Alora? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration in life is the sun. I know that sounds cheesy, but it’s true! The sun makes people happy, it rises every morning and sets every evening, even if something terrible happened on a day the sun will rise again the next day and remind us its a new start. That’s what I want to do. I want to warm people with my heart and my smile and my personality just like the sun does. I want to encourage and inspire just like the sun.

We all make mistakes Alora; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

There was a time when I was starting out when I was asked to model something that went against my brand and my morals. I was under a lot of pressure, and I said yes I would. When I came down to the shoot date I old the photographer that I lied and that I would’ve modeled that for him. He wasn’t happy with me because the whole crew was there ready to shoot. I apologized, and I haven’t worked with him since. I know now to stick up for myself from the beginning.

I work with the photographer who contacts me or my reps first, and then we work down the line. Sometimes I have several shoots in one day.

There was a shoot I got to be apart of where the photographer didn’t have a mood board, and he said to do whatever! Witch is a models dream. And I grabbed my hair and roughed it all around my face, and we got this amazing shot! Everyone was impressed! I was so happy.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Be patient; it doesn’t happen overnight. Work hard! Grind every day!

Be polite, humble and love yourself! You can’t get anywhere if you don’t love yourself. Be true to your morals and your brand!

I've always had a love for art. I used to draw a ton of pictures when I was growing up, and I also took a lot of pictures. When I got out of the Army, I decided to pursue Visual Effects and Motion Graphics at The Art Institute of Austin. While doing that I took a photography class and it sparked the love, and I started taking pictures. While in school I did photography on the side and over time it grew into a business.

I have great attention to detail, and I'm very organized. This is seen in my work and the love I have for it. I do everything possible to please my customers and make memories for them to last a life time. I'm very versatile and can adapt to the mood and feel needed for the type of work I'm doing.

I have been published three times for my photography work in a magazine called "The One Bride Guide" when I was shooting in Corpus Christi, TX. I have had my photography showcase displayed at The Art Institute of Austin and had a few displayed at Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Richard. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I'm an Army Veteran of 10 years, deployed three times to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. With this experience, I have a different outlook on life, and I use that to push myself forward.

Richard, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

I have a lot of passions, and they mostly revolve around art. I love 2D and 3D art, all kinds of mediums. I aspire to be a great 3D artist that will work for Marvel Studios one day while also having a very successful photography business. I always took pictures, and after 1 class at The Art Institute of Austin, I just went all in for it.

Who is your inspiration in life Richard? How do you keep inspired?

Creative people of this world are my inspiration. I use social media to look at art from around the world, and that keeps me fueled! Technology is another big inspiration, due to its massive growth we can use new mediums and have better creative expression.

I don't see mistakes as something I want to take back, but they are there for me to learn and grow from them.

I did learn from a client I booked last week on a short notice project. She needed me to deliver a film poster to her in a short time frame. The job didn't sound too hard, and I took the job. I did skip some of the normal steps I do when I take a job. We did run into a few unexpected things that pushed us passed her deadlines, so she had to cancel the project. I learned not to take on projects that are short noticed unless I go through my normal process and the client accepts the terms and conditions.

Richard, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I work on a 1st come 1st served bases, so there is no bias to one over the other. I do allot myself more time to complete bigger projects, and I inform the client of my completion times. However if I can complete a smaller one at the same time, then I will, but I still complete all other projects on schedule.

Please tell us, Richard, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Strategic is all the time for me. Like I stated in an earlier question I was in the military for ten years, and that has molded me into the artist I am today. I use backwards planning and time management skills to plan out shoots, edit timelines, and delivery dates for my clients. This keeps everything on track and running smooth.

Richard, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I was doing senior portraits for a client, and I was working with her on her posing, and she was uncomfortable with one of the poses. She said she felt funny and I just asked her a couple of questions. I told her she was doing great, but I asked her if she liked my work on my site. She told me, yes, and then I asked her if she trusts me. She said yes, so I told he to trust me now. Let's say she was happy when she got the photos back from me. I try to comfort and reassure the client things will be OK and to trust my professional knowledge.

Richard, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I would have to say the 1st time I was published in The One Bride Guide! It was unexpected, and I was still "new" to the professional world that it just shocked me. It was a very proud moment, and I shared it with everyone. It helped me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to and I push for that next moment each shutter click.

Richard, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

A lot of the time the client has a concept in mind that you have to work with or stay close to. Then there are those few times you get the go-ahead to have fun and do what you want! It's exciting because you can try something never done, something outside of the box you been thinking about for years and the mind takes its and runs! I do find it difficult sometimes because some many ideas start to come that you might start on one and then in the middle of that you find yourself going in another direction.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Learn the basics and the rules! Practice, practice, practice and when you think you got it practice some more. Then lastly teamwork makes the dream work. Find a good group and build a team and go after your dreams.

I think networking is so important. I'm always looking to collaborate with someone. With that said I would be open to anything in Austin area for the time begin. New companies, talents, brands would be great.

Started off making clothes for family and friends. With enough encouragement, I decided to design one or two items with a manufacturer in Bulgaria. They knew of a catwalk show happening in London and felt I should showcase my work, and the rest was history.

I was very disappointed at the time that my brand name was not displayed during my collection's fashion show and was enquiring some compensation.

It was one of my very first shows. However, on reflection, I should have just brought the issue to their attention.

Georgina, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all.

As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

We hire account managers to manage and handle our larger clients to ensure excellent service is consistent.

Please tell us, Georgina, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Label?

We usually negotiate on delivery dates if we are working on a new collection and orders are coming in during the same period, to ensure we can fulfil and delivery our key targets.

Georgina, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

Sometimes you are advising clients to try a certain style of clothing, and they are not able to see your point of view. I would usually take a picture of them and present it to them as it is easier to see how an item compliments a person's figure.

Georgina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment was when I told my first item in a pop boutique in Notting Hill. It reassured me that there are people interested in my label. It was a humbling and exciting experience which I will never forget.

Georgina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

As a designer, I am constantly working on new collections and deriving new ideas and looks. Sometimes it is difficult, and you do get a creative block. However, in those situations visiting a library or a museum is always good for inspiration.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?* * Be prepared to make tough decisions and never say know to a potential opportunity as it should be the break you are looking for.

I’m 20 years old, with the drive of a Bugatti engine. I enjoy setting goals and pursuing them without limit. Growing up, I participated in manly academic, along with extracurricular events. Such as sports, including football, baseball, track and cross country. I succeeded the most in my track career, missing state qualifying finishing by mere seconds. I have a particularly large family, consisting of 11 children, including myself. I love my life based on a set schedule. I wake up at four in the morning every day to go to the gym before I go to my daily 9-5 job. After my daily job, I practice poses and study how successful models operate. This industry is a true, authentic passion. There is absolutely nothing quite like the feeling I feel when I’m in front of a camera!

Donovan, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion in life is to be the best person I can be, not only for myself: but for my family and peers as well. I aspire to be a model because I believe that’s what I was born to do. Ever since I was a young child, I have been told that I should consider modeling due to my bone structure. It all started with my friends and I messing around with cameras when we realized that I indeed had the potential to thrive in this industry. Ever since that day in 2015, modeling has been a part of my everyday life!

Who is your inspiration in life Donovan? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is my father. He raised me by himself, nearly my entire life. He is my rock; my go to. He has taught me everything that I know about family, trust, and love. Being properly educated in those specific categories had allowed me to evolve as a person, and excel in my human relationships. Knowing that my father is the true definition of the word in every sense, I thrive to be the man that helped create me.

I truly have not had an experience where I wish I could’ve handled a situation differently. During my short career as a model, I have never had a bad experience with any other model, nor photographer.

Donovan, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Every client has different ways of working. Whether it be, a change of scenery, a change of outfits, or simply a familiar photoshoot with a hint of spice. As I previously stated, my human contact skills are particularly sharp. I’m able to understand what the client wishes from me and work together to create an ending product that exceeds their expectations.

Please tell us, Donovan, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

There was a time during this past winter, where my clientele, was expecting a variety of styles from me to express the seasons, along with my current life choices. I knew that I had to pursue their wishes with a full heart. During this moment in time, I shot in the bitterness frenzy of the Wisconsin winter, every day for at least three hours. From being fully clothed, to be partially nude in the winters grasp. There is nothing that will haunt me, from reaching and meeting a client's expectations.

Donovan, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

My daily job is very important. I work in the aviation field, building parts for, “Boeing’s”. There was a moment not too long ago, where a coworker and I, disagreed on a situation that included productivity levels in our work stations. On this particular day, I was cutting while for one of the mechanisms needed to provide power in the seats of a plane. My coworker believed that there was a different machine that would increase the productivity level, when in fact, this was going to decrease productivity instead.

Together, we created a new worksheet to trace our productivity each hour. The end product consisted of our work, being completed in an ideal fashion, on time, with 100% satisfaction from our company’s customers.

Donovan, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment was also my biggest failure. Being new to the industry, I’ve been encountering new modeling agencies almost daily. I completed a submission to a local agency and waited patiently for a response. After a few days have come and passed, the agency got back to me, and kindly rejected me. As I was not what the agency was currently looking for. That moment was a huge milestone in my life. It showed me that yes, I could put in the work, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m what is needed.

This moment, flipped a switch in my head, which encouraged me to see modeling not only as a hobby but as a way of life. Meaning, that I had to pursue it harder than I previously did in the past.

Donovan, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

During the past winter, I had the opportunity to do work for a client that required me to be shirtless in the midst of winters elements. Using the natural colors of the snow, along with the complimentary colors of my environment, I was able to successfully create an exciting product that pleases multiple clients.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * The best advice I can give to anyone that has wishes of being in this industry is to be yourself. Get to know your clients, along with your photographers, to provide yourself with maximum comfort. The more comfortable you are, while working with photographers, the better the end product will be.

I love acting since I’m tiny, I remember to tell my mom that I was sick because I didn’t be wanted to go to the school. Like I said I think that acting is something that I have inside. I start as an actor with 16 years old; I was doing theatre! Fun, I would like to do it again.

I was doing one casting for a brand, was an electronic brand I was playing with one shaver I did successfully and I was playing that commercial for a year in a cinema in Argentina.

I like that my plays look real, I’m a hard worker, and I enjoy and love what I do.

When I was 17 I was playing one play in theater the name was “the ghosts” was one group off kids that they were in on abandoned theater when they see the ghost of the legend al characters from the teacher, I was playing two characters and was exiting the challenge but also was difficult because is more preparation.

I did think of the idea, but I wasn't quite sure how it was supposed to be done.

I went to talk to the director of the team at the time of wanting to join and to make new ideas for shoots and help other local businesses around Lethbridge. Which, for the amount of time I was with the team (then getting signed by a temporary agency) worked out pretty well.

Since then, I didn't get to do much modelling after that as I was focused on school and sports to focus on graduating with my second diploma from the cities college.

Once that was done, I waited for the opportunity to get more exposure for myself and meet new people in the industry to make and create new ideas and photo shoots to expand my creativity.

Now, for the last ten months, I've had more exposure, and more chances to model for runway shows and photo shoots to get my portfolio to where it is today. Moreover, I would love nothing more to put my name out there to keep learning and to understand the skills to absorb more knowledge and skills for my hobby.

Creating art and expression of storytelling through the lens and a picture to capture an audience to show how I am and feel when doing a theme shoot.

My grandfather. He was the one who believed in me from the very beginning about what I wanted to do throughout my childhood.

Moreover, from him, it gave me the strength to go for whatever I was focused on doing a task.

I flipped out on another female model about a dance routine that we had practised together for a runway show, and we were making a move, and we stopped. She started talking about my rhythm of the movement, but I noticed too she was off, and one thing led to another we started yelling at each other about not enough practice and blaming on each other.

What I wish we could have done was to look at the routine and do small bits and talk about making adjustments because it did become difficult for the both of us to do.

I’m unique because I was bullied very badly in middle school. The bullying lasted for two years. The school finally had to step in to resolve the situation. Today I’m friends with my bullies, and we had sleepovers and went on vacation together. I want young girls to know that bullying is wrong and standing by and saying nothing and not standing up for someone who is being bullied is wrong too. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and their current situation may seem horrible, but it’s only a temporary situation.

Abigail, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I started into modelling by participating in a few pageants. I would like to pursue acting and combine acting and modelling.

Who is your inspiration in life Abigail? How do you stay inspired by Model?

Selena Gomez is my inspiration. She has encountered a lot of struggles ok her life, as I have. She’s never quit and keeps going.

That’s a hard question. At 14 I’m not sure.

Cheerleading is a team sport, and I’m one of the flyers so we all must work together to get our stunts working right.

I then decided to submit some selfies and a few nonprofessional photos to some of the known studios in Florida that takes highly professional photos. I was contacted and was able to book my first professional photo shoot at Kube Studios in Miami Florida, and my career has grown from there.

Who is your inspiration in life Mia? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration has to be the legends in the modelling world that have come before me. Gia Carangi, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Iman, Twiggy and Pat Cleveland just to name a few. These women keep me inspired because they are still going strong in an industry where it is very hard to remain relevant. And it would have been amazingly beautiful to see where Gia would be today.

I have nothing I would take back. I remain very professional with all my clients because I love what I do.

When working with several clients, I keep a mental Rolodex. I normally like to write down needs of the client, but in most cases, you don't have time to do that. So I tend to look at the wardrobe and listen to the requests of the client and get to work.

Please tell us, Mia, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I have to be very strategic for every photo shoot. Not having a manager or an assistant it requires doing your work. Just getting a wardrobe together and different looks you want to achieve together. Even down to the jewellery.

This particular photo shoot I did not have to do much persuading. I and my photographer always think out the box. We were both interested in a certain location to get an awesome shot. It required climbing over some rocks that were in the water. It was a bit dangerous. But we were able to get the shot we needed.

Mia, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Being published in my first magazine was a proud moment for me. I believe it is for a lot of first time models.

Seeing yourself in a magazine for the first time says someone believed in you and felt you were worthy enough to be seen by the world. It is a major accomplishment, and hopefully, soon I will be published in more major magazines such as Vogue or Elle.

Mia, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

One of the most exciting shoots I have ever done was when I shot for Bequille Fashions! It was a party scene to help portray the brand as fun, sexy, and wild. From dresses to rompers and even bra's. In some of the shots, we wore masquerade masks which brought a more mysterious vibe to it. I look forward to working with Bequille Fashions again this year. So be on the lookout!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * If you want to be successful in the modelling industry, I highly recommend NEVER GIVING UP!Keep at it!

Because you will hear one million, no's before you get one YES! It takes dedication and knowledge to work in this industry. It's non-stop and lots of fun. So stick with your dream don't be discouraged.

My parents realised that I wanted to be in the bright lights and we decided to pursue modelling and acting full-time. My dream is to be on the cover of Vogue and to have a billboard in Times Square.

That is a hard question; I am not a big self-promoter. I am getting better at it. I am more of a doer. I am very passionate about my beliefs and the pursuit of my goals. I prefer to lead by example and encourage the empowerment of the human spirit.

Deanna , what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?

My passion is to walk the path less traveled. I am not a conformist. I believe in my dreams and know that nothing is impossible. I have defeated the odds in so many ways. I believe in a healthy, balanced life which includes creating my label. I stand for something. I know what I want, and I have jumped over so many hurdles to get to where I am at today. I know I have an eye for fashion. I have always been different in expressing myself with clothes and in making them throughout high school.

Who is your inspiration in life Deanna ? How do you keep inspired?

Me. I am my inspiration. I do not want to be anyone else but a better version of myself. It is hard sometimes. When you are climbing that hill, many things can discourage and get in the way. My inspiration comes from overcoming those obstacles and growing as a person.

We all make mistakes Deanna; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Fashion Label, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

When I first started my label, I didn't know where to start. I hired a company in NY, which I didn't realize design and manufacturing houses were a dime a dozen. I wish I would have cut my losses after my first collection. I was taken advantage of not knowing the industry and put trust in the wrong people.

Deanna , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

No matter what the size of the group you're dealing with; the priority is ALWAYS to get the job done. At all costs. Sometimes you lose, but you win with integrity.

Please tell us, Deanna , about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Label?

I am a very young label, just getting started. My recent and main strategic move was getting my inventory made. As I stated earlier, I trusted the wrong partners to make that happen. I had to work quick, use my resources and find a solution to make that happen. AND I did!

Deanna , please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I think we are all persuading people to see things are a way or to help them understand our point of view. Building this brand, this label has been a constant persuasion of believing in me and what I am doing. I am a genuine person; what you see is what you get. Most people truly trust me and connect with me regularly.

Deanna, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Gosh, anyone that has done this knows that this isn't easy. It isn't for the faint of heart. It is such a different animal in comparison to most businesses. I am proud of my first runway show, of being a finalist for StyleChicago's Design Challenge presented by Cadillac, completing a successful Kickstarter, and overcoming the road blocks of getting my first inventory/ production run.

Deanna , please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I am lucky to be creative every day. To think of what look and what designs I am coming out with next. I love working with different fabrics and styling models for the runway. I love it!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?* * Stay focused, use your resources. If you're getting a red flag with someone your working with; BELIEVE it! My biggest mistake was to adjust for people who didn't deserve it. But my mum always told me you would learn to work with errors, and I can confirm that now.

I like to work with People, but there is one Rule: you should give than you can take!

Friends and family stay all your life; a job can always change or switch so I would put my family above everything. She's the most important thing for me.

A friend was always convinced a job doesn't have to be fun, as long as you earn a lot of money. I could open his eyes. I told him that you can do a job all your life and that he should enjoy it as much as he could make money with it.

It's always a good sign if the photographers don't have to tell you how to pose or to move when they say you that you do it well and rely on you to do the poses.

The best work is always done when you collaborate with people you like. Then the work is fun, and you usually have a good result.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Young Model?

Always be yourself, do not turn to others.

I think it is when my mother and I did The Dodger commercial and print work. We were cast as the primary family.

I always ask what exactly what the client is looking for to succeed in their vision. I will suggest if I think something might be better to get the picture or change the pose. What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Do your homework. Understand that it is "work". What I find unique about myself is the ability to connect with my viewer through the camera’s shutter. It is not just locating the camera’s lens and gazing into it but seeing past the reflection and making direct eye contact with the shutter. A winking flirtation if you will. This allows me to make each photo shoot an intimate conversation with the readers that transcends the editorial page.

Jeri, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My aspiration in life is to be happy; to remain free-spirited and not place limits on myself. I love marching to the beat of my drum!

My passion for modelling began when I was a teenager. My aunt, Nancy, exposed me to Ebony Magazine and I was intrigued by the many beautifully dressed women of color. I was especially drawn to Eunice Johnson and her determination to bring the world of fashion to the forefront in the African-American community. I began attending the Ebony Fashion Fair Fashion shows in hopes of making connections and eventually moved to New York to pursue a modelling career. However, the strict height requirements made it very difficult for a model of my stature as I am only 5’6” tall. It would be many years later that the fashion industry would evolve to be more inclusive and representative of models of all shapes and sizes. This revolutionary movement has brought my journey full circle and has opened many doors for me. As a Lifestyle /Commercial / Print/ Runway model, I am excited about being able to work with other creative and talented minds to develop more opportunities for non-standard models also to pursue their dreams.

Who is your inspiration in life Jeri? How do you keep inspired?

Well, I wouldn’t say there is any one particular person who inspires me.

I’m inspired by strong, intelligent, ambitious women who are unafraid to push the envelope and to knock down doors. It encourages me when I see women empower one another. I’m also inspired by those who have overcome many obstacles in life and remain standing.

I keep inspired by reading the Bible, books of poetry, and biographies. I try to ensure that I surround myself with positive people who are going to uplift versus tear down.

We all make mistakes Jeri; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Fortunately, I’ve not had many difficult situations involving colleagues.

But, there was a time a few years ago that I wish I had gathered my things and walked out of a photo shoot. The photographer was well known and had a stellar reputation for fashion editorials, but he did not possess great “People Skills” and was very taxing. I stayed and continued with the shoot hoping to impress upon him that I too, was a professional person and that I could work with just about anyone.

However, his demeanour steadily made me uncomfortable. His assistant was accommodating though and afterwards apologized for him. Still…

First, I have a very in-depth conversation with my client. I try to establish the project’s priorities by writing them down and listing them one by one. I assign the main idea as the top priority and continue in that fashion until all points have been relayed. Then, I have the client review what their vision is for the project and what they expect the outcome to look like. It helps me to visualize their concept and to act accordingly.

Please tell us, Jeri, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Most shoots have an early model call time in which we must arrive for hair and make-up.

Because rehearsals and fittings may often be scheduled during that time as well, I have to be very time conscious. I was scheduled for make-up at 7 am when the producer shot us an email telling us that he had decided to shoot a behind-the-scenes reel of rehearsals. I knew that morning was going to be tight, especially with so many models needing the glam team, so I woke up at 4 a.m. and did my full hair and make-up before arriving on set. Sure enough, the camera crew was ready to roll right at 7 am, and I ended up being on that reel, front and centre.

The still made the advertisement, and I was so glad that I had the forethought to rise before dawn and be camera-ready.

Jeri, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I was doing an on-location shoot near a waterfront, and there was an abundance of natural light flowing through the trees, highlighting the pier. I thought it would be amazing if we were able to capture that and so I asked the photographer to shoot me from a different angle than was his previous intention. At first, he was hesitant to make that change, so I convinced him to take two photos: one his way and one mine. After viewing the immediate shots, he concluded that my suggestion was the better photo. It not only enhanced my features but also showcased his work in a different genre.

Jeri, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest professional accomplishment thus far would have to be when I auditioned to walk in Fashion Avenue News Magazine’s 8th Annual Fashion on the Hudson show in New York. I was so excited when I received my confirmation email congratulating me on my selection. As a model who lived in New York, it was an honor to return and be a part of such a well-known fashion brand and new luxury fragrance launch, Avadora.

Jeri, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I was able to debut my creative director’s hat when I conceptualized a storyboard for a fashion editorial I called “Guided Masquerade”. It was a bit challenging as there were so many moving parts that I was responsible for: booking the photographer, procuring the location, obtaining filming permits, etc. It was exciting because I was the set wardrobe stylist, hair and make-up artist as well as the director of the shoot. I loved making the final editing decisions! It was also great working with an open-minded, adventurous photographer.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Do your research! Don’t be afraid to check an agency’s credentials (i.e., licensure, reputation, etc.) with the Better Business Bureau and other reputable sources. Study your craft and learn it well! Do not be afraid to ask questions and know the bottom line. Read every contract and seek legal counsel when necessary. Safeguard yourself! Remember, you are your commodity, therefore, be about your business and represent your brand.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes, I am interested in collaborations! I’d love to branch out into brand ambassadorships for fashion, cosmetics, perfumes, tech devices, and housewares. I worked with a photographer, who was very speculative. We had some language barriers that served as impeding blockers to our shoot. I sat down with him and told him that transparency is a key to any good relationship. I do feel that I should have been more proactive and aware of this situation before signing up with him.

Not at all, as a leader in technology, I have to manage people with different personalities and demographics. I attempt to build a solid relationship by providing them guidance, having open communication, and understanding their concerns that can deter them from their personal growth.

Please tell us Faizan, about a time you had to be very strategic to

meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had to juggle my full-time career, my side-career of home health business, and modeling. I am a very systematic individual that aims to follow a particular schedule to be prompt and ensure that my tasks are done. I had a fashion walk in the city, and I went right from work while planning my outfits from the previous night to ensure that it would not be chaotic for me.

Faizan, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I like to provide them visual and real-life scenarios.

Evidence of this is my career as I have achieved many things that a normal person achieves in their late 40's and 50's. They key to persuading someone is to provide quantitative proofs and numbers, because human psyche will likely to trust something that can be quantified instead of something that is subjective.

I went into a fashion walk, and the event planners missed a boat in our outfits. We went to the nearby mall and matched by wearing "all black" theme. My ability to innovate on the spot is crucial because I look at the theme and demographics around me so I can make a sound judgment to please the audience.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Be persistent, being a model is more than being good-looking. It requires constant posing, learning from other resources, and researching trends in social media.

Well, I love people and animals. I'm a social being. I live for experience. I dream of travelling and trying new things. I have a kind heart and love to help those in need. Modelling is my passion. I started out on Instagram following a bunch of models and photographers. I sent messages to all of them asking them if they would work with me. I got a lot of no's. For months straight I came up emptyhanded. Then I got a yes, and from there everything fell into place pretty easily.

My want to become a model goes beyond the surface. I want the experience. I want to always be on the go, seeing new places, trying things that most people never have and never will. I want to experience life to the fullest and modelling is the best way to do it. It's honestly my deepest, most intense passion.

Who is your inspiration in life Maria? How do you keep inspired?

Life is my inspiration. No single individual will ever experience everything the world offers, but I'm determined to try. When you're always looking for something new, there's inspiration around every corner.

My first or second shoot I became frustrated because it took me awhile to grasp the concept fully. My frustrations obviously only made things worse and affected the entire shoot. The tension was high, and it went from 3 hours to 5 hours just like that. I learned my lesson about letting myself get flustered during a shoot though, and I hasn't happened since. We all have our moments, as long as we continuously grow and learn from them, it's okay.

Maria, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I communicate. I'm a strong believer in ask, and you shall receive. Once they tell me what they need, it's pretty easy. If they say something more than once while they talk I know it's a high priority. I also know to take care of the stuff that's the most time to consume early because the quick stuff is easy to get done last minute if I need to. I also never procrastinate. It kills too much time. If it needs to get done, I get it done as soon as possible.

Please tell us, Maria, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Always! I self-represent. Booking, shooting, growing my social media presence, promoting myself, keeping in contact with clients, taking care of my life outside of modelling, maintaining my appearance and healthy lifestyle, it's a lot. Prioritizing and organizing is key. I'd go crazy otherwise.

Maria, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

When my support system wasn't too happy about my working, so I kept quiet and kept moving until I got my photos from my first shoot and then the had the reassurance they needed to relieve their anxiety about it. After that, all was well.

Maria, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My shoot with Peterson Photography. It was my first paid shoot, so it gives me like this boost of confidence. Like, "Yes, I can do this. My dream is going to become a reality. My passion will be my career." Which I believe is important because after working so hard for so long sometimes you need to see results. It's relieving.

Maria, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

Always. New places to shoot. New looks so it doesn't feel repetitive. Even makeup, hairstyles, outfits, all that. New concepts and poses even. All of it is creativity. Modelling is an art form.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Put yourself out there; you won't be seen if you don't stick out.

Don't expect it to be easy.

Never give up.

I started as a model looking up to my friends who are in Bollywood, and my passion is to follow in their footsteps.

Who is your inspiration in life Nav? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is my friends who I look up to, and I keep inspired by following them and just getting guidance from them.

Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I haven't come across a situation like this as of yet as I am an easy going person.

Nav, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I think meeting clients needs on time is the utmost priority. The understanding between ourselves and the client has to be perfect to deliver an excellent service.

Please tell us Nav, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I was told to do a 2-hour shoot with ten different outfits. I went to the shoot 45 minutes early and set everything up to avoid any time wasting the shoot looking for clothing.

Nav, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I had advised a photographer to do a shoot externally instead of an internal shoot which enabled us to get good feedback from the client.

Na v, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I have been selected as a grand finalist for Model Search UK 2018 event in Manchester on the 29th April.

Nav, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I think shooting in the rain was quite creative however very difficult.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * I think if you believe in yourself, the sky is the limit a n d you can be unstoppable Are you looking for collaboration with f a s h i o n talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I would love to collaborate with fashion brands and talents to promote them or assist them in ever y need possible.

I think my most unique aspect is my ability to rule-dodge. In any trade, there are so many 'rules' you must follow. I was told countless times 'to make it as a photographer, you need to do this with your photos'. I think following such rules too closely only encourages your work to mimic other people's. I prefer to follow these rules loosely, and inject lots of creativity into my work in an attempt to break the mould and find new ways of excelling in my craft. Perhaps, to teach other people one day some new 'rules' that they should follow.

Ellija, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passions and aspirations in life are exactly that... LIFE. I am passionate about life as a subject itself. I always aspire to be the very best version of myself, and excel to do the very best with everything I take part in. I first started in photography as a three-year-old with a disposable camera given to me by my grandma.

She'd take me to different castles around the North East of England, and I'd photograph their brick walls and imagine archers firing down arrows from them. Maybe one day I can return to these castles and see if my photography had improved from when I was three years old... or not.

Who is your inspiration in life Ellija? How do you keep inspired?

I keep inspired by reading the works of legends who have breathed in the same air that I do.

Over the course of history, some of the wisest men and women have written down their ideas and thoughts on to paper. I think it to be crazy that we all don't constantly engage with their works in an attempt to inherit some of their wisdom. My current inspiration, however, is still alive and breathing, and it is the fabulous Eckhart Tolle. His books have given me new life.

Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I often receive lots of praise for my photographs, and it can be quite an enduring task to receive each of those compliments online with sincere gratitude. Due to lack of time, I often reply to comments online with a like or a thank you, but I wish I could write more comprehensive thank yous to each of the kind comments I receive. To anyone reading who has supported my work already, from the bottom of my heart I thank you. It is your comments that inspire me to keep going and continue my work. To those who haven't supported my work yet, what are you waiting for?

Ellija, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I spend immense amounts of time analysing my audience in an attempt to discover exactly what type of content they want. If you're working 1-on-1 with a fashion brand, it can be quite obvious what they want from you. But when you are trying to deliver photographs to large groups of fans online all with slightly different tastes, it can be difficult. I try to keep my range of photography quite wide to maintain a diverse audience. I believe beauty is everywhere and nobody should only stick to finding it down one street.

Please tell us Ellija, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

It all comes down to time management for me. I would recommend people to read a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. Its excellently informative and helps shift you to new ways of perceiving challenges and difficulties.

Ellija, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

Conversation is such a powerful human tool. I believe the ability to articulate sentences is such a power to behold.

Over time, there have been some legendary orators in the public eye. Barrack Obama was hailed as one of the best orators in US history. Marcus Aurelius was supposedly wickedly persuasive with his alluring conversational skills. I try to learn from the best and constantly work on improving my language skills.

Ellija, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment is probably very different to what most photographers would hail as there's. But after growing up with a grandma who took you everywhere, all sorts of cool places as a child. I remember telling her that I was going to get back into photography and start an account online. I showed her some photographs that I'd taken the past week, and she told me that my photos were amazing. She said that I'd always had an eye for capturing the world. This was better for me than any other praise my photos had ever received.

Ellija, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I think I am always really creative with my work. The best thing about the internet for me was that it gave birth to an ocean of ideas. It helped break down some of the more strict rules in some different trades. People began doing things their way. This is what I encourage. I consider myself to be one of these people who is always excited by the difficulty of trying to customise their craft in the most creative ways possible.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?* * Get a job and save some money. Then go out and buy the best camera you can afford, it doesn't need to cost an arm or a leg. Just whatever you can afford. Then start taking pictures. That's it. You have to be in business to do business. Start taking pictures, and it will all unravel from there.

I am looking for all collaborations high and wide. Whether its swapping mentions on Instagram stories for exposure or meeting up with fashion brands or models for photo shoots. I'm open to any offers and ideas so that I can grow and help other people to grow too.

Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?

I not only am a model; I'm also a scholar, a runner, and a pianist. I intend on pursuing my PhD in Psychology after graduation. I also ran for the NCAA on FSU's D1 Cross-Country team. I now do road races for fun. I also have played classical piano for 12 years and love learning different languages in my spare time, so I have a lot of diverse hobbies!

Emily, what are your passion and aspiration in life?

How did you start as a Model?

I have a passion for fashion and modeling! I love the human body, and the way it works and can be trained and conditioned is very interesting to me, which also ties back to my history as a runner. I guess I like to see modeling as an art form, so it takes my love for the human body from my running and captures the artistic side of that.

Who is your inspiration in life Emily? How do you stay inspired by Model?

My mother. She is extremely hard intelligent yet very humble and loving. stay inspired as a model and reminds process and I have to keep my stamina even when I face rejection.

We all make mistakes Emily; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?

I used to work at an immigration law firm. I had to do H1B petitions for clients to be able to obtain their visa's. I had a petition sent back one time because I had put the wrong date for one of them. Luckily it was able to be fixed quickly and sent back in time, but little mistakes on those sorts of things in immigration law could cost someone their visa, so I had to learn to be more careful.

Emily, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

I love meeting new people and working with clients! I'm naturally a people-person, so I enjoy it!

Please tell us, Emily, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

It's hard to find a balance. I've had to learn that I have to put my schooling and work with modeling before social plans, which is difficult because I'm very close with my family and love to spend time with my friends and boyfriend, but I definitely have learned that social plans are more of a luxury for after I've finished a day's worth of work. It also has taught me to be much more efficient and manage my time because I know if I wake up early, work hard, and get all of my studying and work done; I can spend time with my family or boyfriend in the evening and enjoy myself.

Emily, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I worked at a criminal defence firm, so there were lots of strong opinions, and everyone in the office usually had different ideas for strategies in defences. I remember one client, in particular, my boss didn't want to go to trial for. With my background in psychology, I felt this individual was suffering from a mental illness and was able to convince her to have him tested, which helped the client, in the long run, both emotionally and legally.

Emily, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.

I got to model for a fitness company, which was very exciting for me because I am a runner so I got to bring two of my biggest passions into the same realm!

Emily, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

Definitely when I first was starting out with different poses and finding the right angles. It was difficult because I felt uncomfortable because it was new for me, but taking risks and trying out different poses helped me in the long run with my modeling.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * I would tell them not to give up when they don't hear back from companies or get rejected. I would tell them to start off small and to have friends take snap shots of them before investing too much money in professional photographers. Prices can rack up quickly when you're starting out as a model. I would tell them to get a variety of different pictures before going to agencies so they can build a strong portfolio and have a better chance getting signed!

I am now a British citizen and living in Wales for ten years and learned the welsh language and culture. Adopted to British culture too, however, my Asian heritage is still strong and contributing to my life adventures.

I am a qualified teacher in Asia (the Philippines in particular) and thought children for few years before moving to the UK. I also finished a Foundation degree in Inclusive Studies for Teaching Assistant here in Wales and have some few experiences doing supply as cover supervisors in high schools and teaching assistants jobs in several primary schools around my local county. Hence this shows my ability to care and engage with learners to motivate them to succeed in their studies. I also used to be part of the Youth Ministry in my local church in Asia aiming to delegate and invite local youths in the parish church to attend youth camps to empower the faith of Christianity to young people/generation.

However, my marriage changed everything. My social life was completely limited as I was controlled by what I can do and who to meet or become friends with in this country. I suffered depression on and off as I struggle to find my purpose in this marriage. The only consolation I can be proud of was having my two beautiful girls. Until the assault happened April last year that completely changed my perspective and left our family home. Since then, I am fighting for my right to show to my ex-husband what I am capable of as a person. That I am a strong-willed woman, who would rather face the challenges in life than living in a controlled marriage for the rest of my life.

Therefore, the new chapter of my life commenced. A strong, motivated woman found her inner confidence back and ready to face the world. I started doing modelling as I dreamed of as a child and I am chasing my dream. I accepted the test shoot in London, a day before Mothers Days last month, as a treat for myself. As a result, I was handpicked as a Finalist in a beauty pageant called Miss Face of Wales 2018. I was overwhelmed with this opportunities however I am enjoying it at the same time. Hence, I am empowering myself and inspiring another woman out there who struggles to find selfconfidence to not give up on their dreams. I am therefore welcoming opportunities in all types of commercial modelling as a mature Asian model. Rubelyn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is to inspire young people and to empower all women to find their inner self-confidence. That everyone deserves a right to be happy in their way without anyone stopping them to achieve their own goals in life. I would like to be a real-life model (not only in-front of a camera) and inspiration to all domestic abuse victims who are scared to leave their relationships because of fear, especially within the Asian community. Hence this inspired me to take this challenge as an Asian Mature Model as my platform and let my voice be heard out there.

Who is your inspiration in life Rubelyn? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration is from my Faith to God. I believe that He is guiding me since I was a child. He is leading me to my path wherever it may be. I also believe that He is leading me in my purpose in this life. I am also having my inspiration for my two beautiful girls. I get my strength from them that I should keep going in life. I want them to see that life is not always perfect as they think it should be. I want to inspire them that life is full of challenges and lead them how to get through any struggles that may come in future since experiencing it first hand.

I haven't experienced any difficulty with a colleague within the model industry or experience any, however, I wished I could have handled differently during the shoots can be relevant to this question. As a beginner, I am still trying to get the grasps of how to do a pose in front of a camera or showcase more of my physical feature as I am still in the learning process. Hence I am taking this all gradually and hope to do my best in every shoot I am invited in to collaborate.

Rubelyn, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I think I have to work based on what the theme of the shoot is about and what I am comfortable and capable of doing. I can prioritise clients needs based on researching on clients websites or social media/portfolio and learn from their works. Different photographers have different styles of photography hence I have to adopt on that. Aside from learning on clients portfolio, developing a good relationships with the clients makes a lot easier to both parties to create the image they wanted to produce. Hence communication skills and interpersonal skills are vital to delivering a good service to all clients.

I will be starting on doing, for example, plus-size fashion modelling and then as my experience grows as well as my confidence, I will more prepared to take further steps on different styles of modelling.

Therefore, I would always want to start a humble beginning until the right opportunity comes along.

Please tell us Rubelyn, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I think the first strategy was to break the ice between me as a model and the clients (considering meeting new clients overtime). I aim to be friendly, approachable, easy going to clients/ versatile and develop that good rapport to make the shoot a success.

Rubelyn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I can use this good example when a model had no other idea to wear on our body beach theme shoot because she didn't bring much bikini/swimwear. So, I persuaded her to wear her underwear ( bra, and panty) and I lend my scarf to wrap around her hips and suggested to wear a black hat available in the model changing room at a time. So, we both created the image for the beach body and she agreed that is a good image take for a shoot.

Rubelyn please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest professional accomplishment as a Model is when I took my first ever Photo Shoot in London. It was my first time to go to London, and I don't know where to go, but I took it as a challenge and planned my journey from Wales to London. I was so nervous as I went on my own and with no friends or family to help me find the studio in Clapton. My first time to use the tube from Victoria station to Clapton. I felt like stepping out of nowhere in London but managed to stay cool and reached the studio. That was the bravest thing I have ever than since arriving in Wales. Since then, I broke that fear and next thing I know I drove 5 hours from Wales to Canvey Island Essex for my first ever collaboration. I feel amazing and fulfilled. Self-confidence is booming.

Rubelyn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I guess I haven't had enough experience to be creative in modelling but maybe a little-improvised pose in front of the camera to create the image needed. It's difficult when you are not aware if you're giving the right picture/ image to the photographer. Its exciting in away if I created something that is not expected to come out from the shoot.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * I think as a Model you have to be versatile and go with the flow during a shoot. There is no need for unnecessary things or showing attitudes towards clients and other models. Again, aim to be friendly and be approachable, enjoy the moment and have fun.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes, I would love to collaborate with plus-size fashion designers, from photoshoots, television or catwalks. I am also interested in modelling in magazines / catalogues to showcase my Asian heritage.

Esther, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I have scouted 20 years ago but turned it down... At the time I was not ready. All these years later at 44, I told myself I should pursue this dream and show others it doesn't matter what your age you are still beautiful no matter age, stretch marks, curves. If you have a dream drive towards it and don't stop.

Who is your inspiration in life Esther? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration has and always will be my mother. She worked as a nurse all her life to take care of and support six children. No, we did not have it all, but we had what we needed. In a sick way but watching her continue on day after day exhausted but continuing. I will always aspire to be like her.

Esther, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I keep a daily planner at all times, every time I make a shoot or meet a makeup artist have other appts for my mom or son, I keep everything very organised like that. Sometimes last minute things arrive, and I lose a couple of hours sleep or have to do extra sometimes, I've been figuring it out.

Please tell us, Esther, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

First, I always have to be sure I plan for my mom and son, food, medications, clothing if I'm going to be away, so things are easily prepped and prepared for them. I usually start preparing for photo shoots before scheduling trying to come up with the outfit or theme then I book the shoot after speaking with the photographer to communicate everything that's possible. Then I begin preparing costumes and usually too many but that way I'm not under if more are needed.

Esther, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

Stuck in a rut so to speak when the photographer didn't know what else to do, I threw in some different poses, and it turned into something unusual.

Esther, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I recently posted a photo taken while in Nashville Tennessee and was scouted by Luxe Beauty. I felt like a queen.

Esther, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

Tomorrow I'm doing a photo shoot of dresses, and out of the blue, I wanted something fun to be added to it. I decided on a belly dancer theme. I'm not a belly dancer so that part will be tricky. I was amazed the photographer was as excited as I. I was worried about all the shiny items involved.

He said it would be no problem. I love communicating it becomes such teamwork and a coordinated effort.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?* * Be yourself, love yourself, do what you choose to do. Don't think of it as a competition with anyone or it will be too stressful. Stay true to you.

My genre is known to be "unknown, eclectic, and Classic Rock influenced." My theatric rock style and Evanescence-like voice & dark fashion sense catch the eyes of many. One well-known composer from Denmark, Mark Wind, said: “She has a unique blend of different genres that work so incredibly well, I could pick her out of thousands of artists and that is a wonderful accomplishment."

Starting at two years old, I would play the piano learning just by ear. My grandfather plays by ear tremendously, and my great-grandfather played the piano for silent films. I started singing at age 6, songwriting at age 10 and recording at age 11. In middle school and high school, I sold two albums for charity putting half of the funds to the Child Advocacy Center & Show Hope, (orphanage in China) My Inspirations: Queen, ELO, Ani Difranco, Lady GaGa, David Bowie, Alanis Morissette, Elton John, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, The Beatles, and many more.

I have interned at SubCat Studios (Summer 2015) where I managed their social media accounts, set up for live studio sessions, and edited tracks. Summer of 2016, I became venue manager of Funk N Waffles during the summer in Syracuse. My last year of college, I became President of the Songwriter's Club on campus hosting open mics on/off campus, creating songwriting workshops, etc. and finished recording my album, "Surreality." Spring 2017, I got my BA in Music Industry and Audio Production at SUNY Oneonta. What is unique about me is that I don't follow the industry rules of "what is popular." My music has been known as an unknown genre, eclectic, very passionate, and unusual in melody. It's Rock with theatrical, funk, and classical elements. Ever since I was little, I had it in my head to never create a "too basic" melody line. But, I never make it too complex that it's not considered catchy. Lyric wise, you can compare me to Ani Difranco or Alanis. There's a lot of passion behind my words, and every song tells a very detailed story. My fashion sense is dark, gothic, with a little bit of funk! I think that's exactly what my music is like. It brings a different flavour to what is considered "catchy." I am a self-employed session musician, songwriter, and performer that never fails to make an audience want more. I'm proud of that.

Jenn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as an Influencer?

I would love to be a touring musician and impact as many people as possible with my lyrics. I want more people to tell me they cry after hearing "Someone Else" because it shows me that I am doing something impactful here. I'm getting to the core of these lovely people, and I am raising them up. I started as an influencer when I was asked to promote ItWorks green products. From there, I got other companies wanting me to promote their jewellery, hair product, etc.

Who is your inspiration in life Jenn? How do you stay inspired as Influencer?

That is a hard question! My inspiration recently is Lady GaGa. In fact, when you look at her history with music, she is a lot like me. Started playing the piano by ear and had to lug her keyboard around different venues. She has this theatric, edgy way about her too. She doesn't care if she is outrageous sometimes. She is passionate about her music, and she shows her true self in every form.

We all make mistakes Jenn; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?

A mistake I could take back would be when I never stood up for myself at school. I let bullies attack me all the time and never was strong enough to stand up for myself. High school as a senior was not the best for me. It was honestly hell. Always speak up for yourself because you can never rely on others do it for you.

Jenn, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?

I am a great leader. I listen to my clients very well. I always give honest feedback too about their work. I am friendly and personable. Hence, if something serious comes up for them, I understand entirely. I get things done on time, and I am consistent.

Please tell us, Jenn, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?

Not going to lie, it can get difficult. If I find myself wrapped up in work, I now notice. I know when to prioritise work. I like to get up early and do my job so I can have time for friends and family. Balance is key!

Jenn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way to work successfully.

A client sent me one of his works. The way he sang was not matching up to the rhythm of the melody. I told him what he needed to work on. I sent him a recording of me singing it on rhythm. I said "practice singing it this way with metronome or drum machine. Remove the metronome slowly & remember syllables are so important in music. Make sure they syllables align with the rhythm. Feel the rhythm, get confident with it!" So he did. He became so much better.

Jenn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as an Influencer.

Being an ItWorks influencer made me proud because it's standing up for something I believe in, taking care of your body! I love their products, and my fans were asking me questions about it.

It made me feel good to promote a product I was passionate about. I am all about trying to stay healthy.

Jenn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?

I am always creative with my work! I think that's why I love being a musician so much. I have this song called "The What Ifs" that is in 5/4 and 3/4 time signatures. I wanted to get funky with it.

The different, funky time signatures playing back and forth signify the jumping thoughts in my brain. Rage to hope back to rage. This new song I wrote is about a breakup and still holding hope for the other person to come back one day, but also being too crushed to think about the hope when he/she is already with another person. My mind was racing from hopeful to hopeless again and again. It was "messy", so this song shows my frustration for sure. Sometimes, the chords are so complicated; it is hard for my fingers to go where they need to! Lol, I have small fingers. You'd be surprised.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as an Influencer?* * Keep being awesome. Keep posting. Keep being you but emphasising what you are all about. Do your thing! As long as you are passionate and putting yourself out there, opportunities will come to you. I promise. Maybe not quickly, but the more hard work you accomplish, the more success you will receive.
