how to catwalk
Posture is everything. Have you ever seen a model who slouches? Gather up every inch of yourself and act tall, even if you aren’t. The key is to imagine that you are on a puppet string, being prodded to stand up straight, with shoulders slightly back. You want to make a strong ¿rst impression.then your posture should be on point
Strides Take long strides, placing one foot in front of the other.Lengthen your stride and put one foot in front of the other, which is what will give your hips the seductive swing that models are famous for.The amount of hip swinging varies from the pageant or the clothes that you are wearing. Practice a lot ,use the mirror to determine if the outcome is really what you want . The other element to your stride is your footwear.Models dont always walk in stilettos so practice, practice, practice while not fatal, seeing a model trip or stumble in her shoes is de¿nitely a turnoff.
Arms Let your arms fall next to your body, with hands relaxed.Don’t ¿dget with your hands or let them ball into ¿sts, which screams self-conscious. And keep your eyes focused straight ahead. Maintaining eye contact with someone in your sight line is a natural tendency, but can border on creepy. Try to look at an imaginary point straight in the distance.
Attitude
Walk with a purpose. Wherever you’re going is where everyone should want to follow. If you project a commanding presence, others will be drawn in. P A G E

“The Dream”
A dream is that which you are thinking in the background of your mindset where I would prefer to call it the JUNK YARD.It is the junk yard where great ideas are developed into making something tounchible. The art of polishing your junk yard then determines wether you will be successful in life or not.A practical example is evident in the book of life in Gen 1 v 1-3 the Earth was without form and He the Creator made everything possible. Having a dream “only” is not enough you need people to work that dream to become a living reality. These dreams ussually comes with diffirent space coverage it can be the Mutamba shopping center, the whole of Eastview(Gazebho),Africa or even the whole world. Once an idea pops-up from the JUNK YARD write it down. The 2nd best thing to do after having that thought is to invest yourself in Research and exuasting all possible options that comes with the idea in particular.
Most dreams have got tendence of dying before they even start because of some Reasons I will point out later on this paper.Others gather the boldness to put the dream on ground but fails to last long to the reasons I am yet to explain. To the ones who never start is because: i)FEAR OF BEING JUDGED. ii)FEAR OF BEING LAUGHED AT. iii)THE POWER OF ASSOCIATION. iv)FEAR OF THE UNKOWN. v)BEING A COWARD & NOT HAVING THE EDGE TO TRY. i)Take control of your own life be the pilot soar to great heights as an eagle don’t let the critiqs fefine who you are, define your self to them don’t let anybody judge you for doing good or bad for God is the only one who can judge. The one judging you is also being judged by others so come up with a super defination distinct and noble that everybody always look up to as victor who conqured the fear of being judged.

ii)Take pride in yourself believe in your self refuse to be pointed out finngers on the wrong things e.g being termed “Museyemwa” people always laugh & they never stop laughing and that’s their nature but stand out of the crowd and show them the animal in you the real you refuse to be suppressed. iii)Be around people who believe in you and your dreams. If you you are around people who don’t understand you just move out and find people who do.We can never realise the talent of footballer around swimmers nor in the swimming pool but rather in a football pitch. So associate with people who speak the same laungage as yours and they are always there. iv)They are other people who have got a tendancy of just running from nothing if you are to ask them a real reason of why they can’t provide you one.Be knowlegable in every aspcet to do away with each every kind of phobia to emrge as a victor.
you shape your dream but above all don’t ever forget to give them a token of appriciation.
v)Success is no place for cowards “Magwara”. 2)To those that fail to last long is because: i) Pride (full of I know) ii) Reluctant to employee iii) Greed i)Knowledge and wisdom are what shapes a living/existing dream. The world is full of advices just be humble sit down an listen to others it’s always good to consider diffirent options.Don’t be fooled into thinking that the guys and ladies in suits and spectacles are the ones who know everything, don’t be self centered give room and allowance to the airing of diffirent views you might have done a course or you might be having the best life coach or tutor but still failling to solve your problems so listen to others don’t be too boastful. ii)You can not be evrywhere at the same time, you need extra hands to help you do that. Some hands are more special and blessed than yours and you have to admit that.So don’t keep your dream to yourself involve others. They is a saying which says “A jack of all trades is master of none” give others something to do to help P A G E
iii)Don’t be the Mr or Mrs I want to have it all by myself. Don’t so stingy when blessings start coming your way convey the blessings to others and be content with what you have.Things take time give yourself enough time to mature don’t rush bit by bit you will surely catch it one day.Ussually people who are not satsfied with thei current level end up using way that are unacceptable to acquire more e.g kuromba & opening a credit facility to maintain a level life can always flacuate and change.”Gutsikana nezvauinazvo asi shuwira zvakanak woshanda nesimba kuti uchibate”. I will end this topic with a qoute from a black American hip hop singer “You can’t expect people to believe in your dreams because it wasn’t theirs in 1st place” Believe in your self Author: Darlington T Tekeshe Contact details: darlingtontekeshe@gmail.com 0784170045/0718436667

EXCLUSIVE CONVERSATION WITH VACHIKEPE
P A G E
19 M O D E L G U I D E MAG A Z I N E I S S U E 3 4
Vachikepe the Poet: life after IRAWMA Takudzwa talks about the corporate world having failed to understand artists’ yearning for a helping hand in realizing their vision, but the award gives him a platform to knock on even the President’s door for attention and conversation. He says, “If anyone asks me who are you? I will say, I am that Award winning poet from Jamaica” For his art, VaChikepe’s award more fans, friends and family, plenty collaborations in and out of Africa and above all a prestigious identity to carry wherever he goes. According to him, he now has to out compete himself so as to out compete his award and win more awards.
By Tanya. R. Kwerengwe (Miss Fit) ecoming a worthy winner takes the ability to be a gracious loser. Thus is the story in the case of 2021 IRAWMAward winning poet, Takudzwa Chikepe.
B
When asked about how he would react to losing, the 34-year-old said, he would “revert to working hard and being helpful for a better tomorrow,” continue to study himself and to understand what society wants to offer him as well as share himself with society.
The Norton based poet says everything has changed since scooping the award. “It is like I have been given a new piece of land and asked to develop it to my liking. Definitely this land will be developed; to what becomes a story for another day”. Inspired by the eagerness to read, write and share his thoughts and perceptions, the poet says these have remained the constant vibe driving him. However, over time he has added some deep research to that list. But above all, the Bible and trying to understand Divinity have overtaken everything else. One would find it easy to extend a hearty congratulations to this artist who has succeeded in raising Zimbabwe’s flag high as one of two Zimbabweans to be nominated and win an award in the competition, being the only one in his category, the Mutabaruka award for best spoken word artist.
Popularly known as, VaChikepe, the poet credits his art to the Almighty as seen in what he termed his would-be “losing” speech. Simply, *”Thank you so much God my Father, our Father”* One often wonders what perks come with award winning, and what better way than to hear from the horse’s mouth what it really means. VaChikepe describes it as a graduation from one level of relationship with poetry to another. He believes the fact that everyone is paying attention to knowing him more means God will use him and his art to convey His message to His people. The award in terms of the industry means there is great potential to develop. Chikepe has gone through the hardships of being an artist but it has not broken his love for art. He says, “in my brokenness I have managed to link more than 400 artists from Africa to USA and Jamaica.” How much more now that he’s fixed?
