2014 Dear Class of 2018 Students and Parents, As we wind down the school year and head into the summer, we wanted to thank you for choosing Archbishop Moeller High School. It has been a pleasure these past nine months getting to know your family, and we feel confident that this is the best place for you and your son! As you move through the summer, you may have some questions regarding the upcoming school year. Below you will find key dates as well as other information for your calendar.
KEY DATES: AUGUST 4, 5, 11, or 12 (Choose One) TECHNOLOGY ORIENTATION: This is a mandatory orientation for all students and at least one parent/guardian. The IT staff will distribute your son's computer tablet at this session. AUGUST 14 & 15 FRESHMAN ORIENTATION: This is a mandatory orientation for all students, and we strongly encourage parents to attend the second day of the orientation (Friday, August 15) at 5 PM to join their sons at Mass and to experience the first House competition for the Marianist Cup. ATHLETICS JULY 23 (Wednesday) at 7 PM ATHLETIC INFORMATION MEETING: Parents/Guardians for freshmen and students new to Moeller are required to attend an athletic information meeting, which will be held in the school cafeteria at 7 PM. (Students do not need to attend.) ATHLETIC PHYSICALS: If your son plans to participate in a sport during 2014-15, he must have a physical completed prior to beginning practice. The OHSAA Physical Form must be completed and signed by both parent/guardian and athlete. All forms are available on the Moeller website (www.Moeller.org/Athletics).
JULY 26 (Saturday) from 8-11 AM PHYSICALS OFFERED AT BEACON ORTHOPAEDICS: Beacon Orthopaedic personnel (Moeller’s official athletic trainers) are offering to provide physicals for all Moeller athletes on Saturday, July 26, from 8 AM-11. The cost is $20, and they donate $10 back to Moeller. (Please note: No insurance is accepted.) Beacon is located at 500 East Business Way, Cincinnati, OH 45241. MOELLER E-COMMUNICATIONS: Throughout the year, Communications Director Johanna Kremer will be communicating with you via your primary email address(es), so please be sure we have your most up-to-date addresses in our database. Beginning in June, she will be sending you a monthly e-communication (MOE NEWS for You), and then she will be sending periodic “e-Note” emails on specific topics and “e-Vite” invitations to specific events throughout the year.
