Named Scholarship Program Moeller High School encourages gifts of any amount at any time, in memory or honor of a relative or friend. It is an ideal way to commemorate an event, a loved one, or to remember someone who has passed away. It is a memorial that lives on and enriches the lives of those who benefit from the gift. The interest generated from these endowments makes significant financial assistance a possibility for deserving students and helps secure the long-term financial viability of a Catholic education and Moeller High School for generations to come. Scholarships and Endowments All scholarship awards are based on verified financial need, scholarship criteria, and scholarship committee recommendations. In and Out Scholarships: Gifts can be made for a scholarship, which will be awarded the following school year. Minimum is $2,500 per year for four years. Quasi-Endowed Scholarships: A quasi-endowed scholarship is an annual giving plan designed to award a renewable scholarship to a student from the annual gift with additional funds donated each year with a goal to eventually endow the scholarship. Endowed Scholarships: Endowed scholarships are named scholarships that are funded with either a one-time gift ($50,000 or more) or a series of gifts over time with the purpose of increasing the principal to the threshold level or more. The original investment does not have to come from a single donor but must meet the requirements for awarding a minimum of $2,500 to a deserving student. As the endowment for these scholarships grow, the number of students benefitting will subsequently grow.
