Country Sectional Ntetts ,\ :ird to win the other Oxford berth , the district meet next Saturday. "I f e 1t pretty good today," said 'rank Russo, who finished third 1ere as a sophomore and second last rear. Russo considered the Cardinals' ;hances of winning the state title November 5 in Columbus. "That's what we've been thinking about the last three years. Our first five are all seniors. We've always felt that we could undoubtebly win it this year." If the Cardinals run at Columbus the way they did Saturday, wilrthey win the state meet? Yes, say both Russos. FIRST, COLERAIN must face Spencer's squad in the district. And don't ever underestimate the Purple Pack. The last time Elder lost a sectional meet, Henry Kissinger was in politics and Jack Kemp was in sports. The Pack needed 37 points this year. LaSalle (77), Norwood (93) and Anderson (162) also qualified for the district. Bill Wilson bf Amelia, who has been beaten only once this year, won the individual crown in 12:40. Eric Huey of ~aSalle was runnerup in 12:47. Th~ Cincinnati group's times · were considerably slower than those of the Oxford group, possibly due to a half-hoar delay in the start of the Cincinnati sectional race. The holdup came when, with the teams on the starting line, officials decided. it was a good time to mark the course.. "Everybody's psyched up, and then they do that," Spencer said. "It's got to take something away." PERENNIAL POWEll Georgetown won the class A sectJ:mal, with Mike Doyle ( 12:56) and Kevin Miller (13:10) placing one-two. The G-Men and Middletown Fenwick earned
