Dear 1969 Football Team and Coaching Staff, Congratulations on your outstanding achievement in winning the 1969 G.C.L. championship and for the unprecedented second place in the
UPI poll.
These were not the accomplishments of one season but the
culmination of the efforts of a large number of people over the past few years.
Each of you worked as individuals, but as individuals united
with each other toward one common goal.
Several of you have received
singular recognition, but each recognizes that the team made these individual accomplishments possible. No doubt Mr. Gerard Faust, Jr., must be singled out for his leadership in coordinating and inspiring the team as must also the entire coaching staff for its high level of competence and performance. This year, all of us, students, faculty, parents, and friends evidenced our pride by faithfully supporting you in every way possible. All of us are confident that you will continue to distinguish yourselves and your school throughout your lives.
God bless you.
