up of Prep All-Americans Harry Woebkenb~rg and Greg Stprer along with Bob Uecker, Ken LaRose, Mark Heidel, and Mike Schwarber. The QB spot was ably filled by the colorful Jay Rains and¡ backed up by the great arm of Marty Klotz. A defense that allows only 33 points in the regular season has to have something extra, and this year that something was pride. Standout Seniors included Scholastic All-American Mark Lang, Ron Fangman, Joe Ertel, Steve MacArthur, and Denny Engel. With their amazing quickness and strength, this squad stopped cold the best offenses in the city. -The season record won the Crusaders a berth in the state playotts. The team that had come from behind to win three times during the regular season was now pitted against Youngstown Cardinal Mooney. The contest, held at the University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium saw the Crusaders overwhelmed by the Cardinals, 34-7. However, we can take consolation in the fact that we were beaten by the eventual state champs. Great coaching and the fine talent demonstrated by the reserve and Freshmen squads assure us that the Moeller winning tradition will continue for years to come.
