BAND & COLOR GUARD STATS

Band & Color Guard

History of Moeller/Mount Notre Dame Band

Celebrating its seventh year, the Moeller/Mount Notre Dame Band & Guard is an official partnership between the two schools to create a high-performing musical ensemble.

In 2023, the band moved in a new direction and shifted focus to expand its musical repertoire with the desire to become a nationally recognized musical ensemble. After entertaining football crowds with their exciting Prince themed halftime show, they transitioned into their Concert season. This included performing at the Orlando Heritage Music Festival where the band received a Gold Medal for their Outstanding Performance. The production at this event granted them an invitation to take on a new challenge this season - performing at the Festival of Gold at the Chicago Symphony Hall in April of 2025. The Winter Guard will also be competing in the local MEPA circuit.

In 2024, at Moeller’s brand-new Performing Arts Center, the band will perform three concerts: a Fall Concert, the 2nd annual Sweet Suites event, and the annual Christmas Concert.

Mr. Walker and the Moeller/Mount Notre Dame Band & Guard are grateful to both administrations for their continued support in growing this partnership. The band hopes to continue setting the bar for musical excellence and surprising audiences with amazing performances for years to come.

CHEERLEADING STATS

Moeller Cheerleading History of Moeller Cheerleading

Did you know the cheerleading program was started by the wife of Gerry Faust, legendary football coach at Moeller? There have been many coaches throughout the years, and the cheerleading program is now recognized as one of the top programs in the state.

The Moeller cheerleaders – who are from Mt. Notre Dame, Ursuline, and St. Ursula – have affectionately been dubbed the “Women of Moeller” and have cheered for many Moeller state football and basketball championships. Throughout the years, the young ladies have earned many awards at cheerleading camps, in addition to producing several All-American cheerleaders. Many of the girls have gone on to cheer for their university programs, including NKU, Miami, Purdue, UD and more.

The cheerleaders love representing Moeller High School and will continue to show their spirit, love, and respect for their Crusader family.
