I Crusader Soccer The 1991 Soccer Season will bring a fresh round of challenges to the Moeller Soccer Program. Last year's team finished the season 12-63 and was the Sectional Runner-up. The 1991 squad will return 8 players who saw considerable action last year, but it remains to be seen how the Crusaders will compensate for the loss of All-State Mid-fielder ScottSchaeperandAll-DistrictMidfielder Doug Guller. However, Moeller does return Co-Captains and All-Conference Selections Kevin BalslyandJohnSantoro. Balslywill anchor the Moeller defense, while Santorowillbecountedontoprovide the offensive punch. The Crusaders should be strong in goal as they return Senior-lettennen Drew Deimling and Brian Molina Both of whom are considered two of
the better keepers in the City. Moeller . success will also hinge on the play of seniors Tyler Rotte, Karl Zellhuber and Tad George. The Crusaders will once again face a very challenging schedule that includes Division I State Runner-up Beavercreek, Division II State Champion Roger Bacon, and the GCL Conference schedule that many feel is the strongest conference in the State. The coaching staff returns Randy Hurley, now in his fourth year at the helm. Hurley's teams have compiled a win-loss record of 32-18-9 including being Sectional Runner-up. Bob Bruner willretwn to guide the Reserve Program andnewcomerGeoffDawson will take overthereinsoftheFreshmenProgram. As always, Moeller will provide excitement and intense competition for all to enjoy..
