ACADEMIC CAMPS Moeller Art Camp Grades 6-8

Monsters and Mayhem: Open to both male and female students. Learn Studio Hand Building techniques and Introductory Physics Principals while understanding the basics of various hand building techniques while creating your favorite Monsters. Art Camp students will design and construct a monster, gargoyle or creature of their own design. Camp participants will use the same technique that artists have been using for 500 years as we carve, build and construct an origin story to accompany their creations. This camp builds curiosity and self-confidence for all participants through creative problem solving and material investigation while also engaging in introductory principals in physics. Music Camp Grades 6-8
June 12-16 12:00 - 3;00PM Cost $125 Open to male and female students with at least one year of band or private lesson experience. Working side by side with members and staff of the Moeller/MND Band, students will prepare musical selections (both current and traditional) while learning tips, tricks, and techniques that will help them become better at their instruments. They’ll learn to work as a team, discover how to practice like professionals, get their hands on some really cool technology, and put on a great show for you on Friday afternoon. Author Camp Grades 5-8
June 26-30 8:30-11:30am Cost $125 Open to both male and female students. Author Camp is an introduction to creative writing via interactive exercises and hands-on writing to explore topics like voice, plot, and character. While short stories will be the primary emphasis, additional topics will include creative nonfiction, travel writing, flash fiction, and playwriting. Chemistry Camp Grades 7-8
June 19-22 9:00-11:30am Cost $150 Open to both male and female students entering 7th or 8th grade. The Chemistry Camp students will learn about topics in Chemistry by completing a number of hands on activities and labs. A few of the topics students will study include density, concentration, physical and chemical changes, the gas laws, freezing point depression, and the periodic table. Engineering Camp

Play baseball the Moeller Way! All fundamentals will be taught – hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, base running, infield and outfield play. Games will also be played. Baseball camp is conducted by Moeller High School coaches assisted by current and former baseball players. Please bring baseball gloves, bats and helmets. DO NOT bring your own baseball. Basketball Camp
Grades 2-3 Cost $95 Grades 4-8 Cost $165 Session I: Grades 4-6 June 12-15 9:00am-3:00pm , 200 Campers Maximum Session II: Grades 6-8 June 19-22 9:00am – 3:00pm, 240 Campers Maximum **Session III: Grades 2-3 June 26-29 12:00pm-2:30pm, 80 Campers Maximum This camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills of basketball as well as teach teamwork and good sportsmanship through various competitions and games. Instruction is provided by Moeller coaches and former and current Moeller basketball players. All participants will receive a camp basketball and T-shirt. **If your son is attending the football camp in the morning, the camp counselors will eat lunch with them and walk them to the gym for basketball camp. Basketball Summer League
Grades 8 & 9 June Cost $95 Monday-Friday: 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm This league is designed to give eighth graders and incoming freshmen the opportunity to play in a summer basketball league under the guidance of Moeller coaches. This league is also a great way to meet new people from other area grade schools. All participants will be placed on a team and will be guaranteed eight games. Each participant will receive a reversible jersey. The game schedule will be sent via email at the end of May. Camper spaces limited to first 120 boys. Basketball Mini-Camp
Grade 9 July 6&7 9 :00-3:00pm Cost $85 This camp is designed to introduce incoming ninth graders to Moeller basketball. This camp will concentrate on developing skills that will be needed to compete at the freshman level. All participants will receive a camp basketball and T-shirt. The Crusaders Football Camp will ntroduce your son to new ideas and the latest techniques and fundamentals being taught in football. He will have the opportunity to work on positions and techniques (quarterback, running back, receiver/tight end, interior line, linemen, linebacker, secondary & special teams). Drinks will be provided. If your son is attending the Session III Basketball Camp in the afternoon, the camp counselors will eat lunch with them and walk them to the gym for basketball camp. Fun and Games
Grades K-4 July 24-28 9:00am-2pm Cost $150 A variety of sports and games will be played during the week, including whiffle ball, kickball, soccer, basketball, t-ball, volleyball (beach ball), and other playground games. Campers will be encouraged to develop their coordination, balance, and sportsmanship skills. T-shirts are youth sizes only. Pizza lunch can be purchased or you may pack a lunch. FUNdamentals
Grades 2-6 July 10-14 9:00am – 2pm Cost $150 Moeller coaches and student assistants will coach the boys in the following sports: baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling. The campers will be placed in groups by grade level, and they will stay together during the day. They will meet with each sport each day for instruction and games. Campers will receive a t-shirt. Ice Hockey Camp Grades 1-8 August 3-5 6:00-7:30pm Cost $90
The mission of the Crusader Ice Hockey Camp is to teach good sportsmanship, team work and good hockey habits. All drills and games will be geared toward hockey fundamentals. Instruction provided by the Crusaders Coaching staff, current and former players. All participants will receive a practice jersey. Whether your son is a novice athlete looking to try volleyball or a player with experience, this camp is for him. Skill instruction will include serving, passing, setting, defense, and attacking. Wrestling Camp Grades K-8 July 24-28
9 am – 2 pm Cost $125 The Moeller Wrestling Camp is designed to help both experienced and novice wrestlers improve their fundamental skills and techniques. Campers will be exposed to the system of wrestling that has launched Moeller to consistent top-state rankings and five national rankings. Campers should bring their lunch and a water bottle.
