Baseball Camp / June 10–13 Grades 3–8 Play baseball the Moeller way! All of the fundamentals will be taught – hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, base running, infield and outfield play. Games will also be played. Baseball camp is conducted by Moeller coaches assisted by current and former baseball players. Please bring baseball gloves, bats and helmets. But leave your baseball at home, we have plenty! The camp will concentrate on the skills that will be needed at the freshman level. Basketball Mini-Camp / July 1 & 2 Grade 9 This camp introduces incoming Moeller freshmen to Moeller basketball. Coaches will concentrate on developing skills needed to compete at the freshman level. Basketball Summer League / End of May–First 2 weeks of June Grades 8 & 9 This league will give eighth graders and freshmen the opportunity to play in a summer basketball league under the guidance of Moeller coaches. This league is also a great way to meet new people from other area grade schools. No practice – just games. All participants will be placed on a team and will be guaranteed seven games. Basketball Camp This camp will teach the fundamentals of basketball, teamwork and good sportsmanship through various games and competitions. Instruction is provided by Moeller coaches and former and current Moeller basketball players. All participants will receive a camp basketball and t-shirt. Football Camp / July 8–12 Grades 2–8 Faith, Family & Football the Moeller way. This five day camp will introduce your son to lessons, techniques and football fundamentals being taught at Moeller High School. Football Summer 7-on-7 League / Fridays: June 7th–June 28th Grades 8 & 9 Faith, Family & Football the Moeller way. Faith, Family & Football the Moeller way. This camp will introduce incoming Moeller freshmen to Big Moe football. The camp will concentrate on the skills that will be needed at the freshman level. Ice Hockey Camp / August 2–4 Grades 1–8

The mission of the Crusader ice hockey camp is to teach good sportsmanship, team work and good hockey habits. All drills and games will be geared toward hockey fundamentals. Instruction provided by the Moeller coaching staff and current and former players. All participants who are registered by July 13, 2018 will receive a practice jersey. $90 Friday–Sunday 6:00-7:30pm Location: Northland Ice Center / 10400 Reading Road

Lacrosse Player Instructional Camp / June 24–27 Grades 3–8 Learn lacrosse from the Men of Moeller. We teach all of the fundamentals of the game, individual position skills and team concepts. The camp is designed to teach beginners as well as experienced players. Campers will be instructed by current and past Moeller lacrosse players as well as Moeller coaches. The 2018 Moeller Soccer team finished the season ranked #21 nationally by MaxPreps. The Crusaders were State Runner-up, while securing back to back GCL and City championships.

Junior Crusader Lacrosse Camp / June 24–27 Grades 2–9 This camp is for all those who participate in the Junior Crusader Lacrosse Club. This camp is designed to continue teaching fundamentals, along with position specific drills and training. Campers will be coached by former Junior Crusaders, current players and Moeller lacrosse staff. Soccer Camp / July 22–25 Moeller soccer camp will introduce your son on how to play soccer the Moeller way! We will work on developing skills, and include lots of drills and game strategies. Wednesday Night Soccer Skill Training / June 12, 19, 26 July 10, 17, 24, 31 / Grades 8–12 These individual skill development sessions are for the soccer players who take improving seriously. The hour-long sessions will be run by trainers Omar Cummings, former MLS and Jamaican international player and Darren Gallagher, a licensed coach and collegiate player. Intense and competitive, there will be functional games to bring out learned techniques. Also, many opportunities to work with both coaches. Volleyball Camp / July 22–25 Grades 3–9 Whether your son is a novice athlete looking to try volleyball or a player with experience, this camp is for him. Skill instruction will include serving, passing, setting, defense, and attacking. Wrestling Camp / July 29–August 1 Grades 1–9

The Moeller wrestling camp will help both experienced and novice wrestlers improve their fundamental skills and techniques. Campers will be exposed to the system of wrestling that has launched Moeller to consistent top-state rankings and five national rankings. Fun and Games / July 29–August 2 Grades K–4 A variety of sports and games will be played during the week, including whiffle ball, kickball, soccer, basketball, t-ball, volleyball (beach ball), and other playground games. Campers will be encouraged to develop their coordination, balance, and sportsmanship skills. FUNdamentals / July 15–18 Grades 2–6 Moeller coaches and student assistants will introduce fundamental skills in the following sports: baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling. Campers will be placed in groups by grade level and groups will stay together as they rotate stations throughout the day. All groups will visit each of the seven sport stations every day for instruction and games. All participants will receive a t-shirt. $150 Monday–Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm Pizza lunch can be purchased or pack a lunch. Drinks will be provided. Art Camp Creatures and Creativity - 3D exploration / June 3–7 Camp students will work with a variety of sculptural materials to create a multitude of works designed to cultivate and encourage personal creativity. We will construct a variety of works culminating in a student-designed exhibition on the final day of camp where friends and families are welcome to join campers for the final hour of camp and see what we’ve been up to all week. Chemistry Camp / June 10–13 Grades 7 & 8 The chemistry camp students will learn about topics in chemistry by completing a number of hands on activities and labs. Topics students will study include density, concentration, physical and chemical changes, the gas laws, freezing point depression and the periodic table. Open to male and female students. Coding / July 22–25 Grades 6-8 This camp is all about coding and learning essential programming concepts. Campers will be exposed to a wide range of coding fundamentals which include game design and programming through art, music, and math. This camp is for beginners and intended to expose students to coding who have no or limited coding experience. Color Guard / June 10-14 Grades 4-8

Students learn the basics of what it takes to be a member of the Moeller Color Guard, and the Moeller Winter Guard, which competes in the winter and spring. Dance, flag work, and body movement will be the main concentrations, though other equipment and techniques will be covered. Challenge yourself to do something fun, expressive, and DIFFERENT. This camp is open to girls and boys. No experience is necessary. Debate / June 24-28 Grades 6-8 Debate Camp will give 6th to 8th graders the opportunity to hone their skills as arguers, listeners and speakers. They will engage in formal and informal debates that will be taught and judged by Moeller’s coach and team members. Attendees can expect to learn: the parts of an argument, ways to rebut an opponent, research skills for debate, how to speak like a professional. $105 Monday–Friday 9:00am-12:00pm Contact: Eric Ebel at EEbel@Moeller.org

Engineering / June 10–13 Grades 7 & 8

Open to both male and female students entering 7th or 8th grade. Engineering camp students will learn about topics in engineering by completing a number of hands on activities and projects. Robotics / July 22–25 Grades 6-8 This is an opportunity explore your creativity in designing, building, and working with robots. Our inquiry-driven approach allows everyone to have fun in exploring robotics, whether you are new to robotics or well-experienced. Summer Music Experience / June 10-14 Grades 6-8 This camp is open to boys and girls who have at least one year of band or private music lesson experience. Working side by side with members and staff of the Moeller/MND Band, students will prepare musical selections (both current and traditional) while learning tips, tricks, and techniques that will help them become better at their instruments. They’ll learn to work as a team, discover how to practice like professionals, get their hands on state of the art technology, and put on a great show for you on Friday afternoon. Woodwind, brass, string, piano, and percussion players are all welcome. Man of Moeller Leadership / July 15–18 Grades 6–8 Participants in this camp will learn vital leadership skills and traits, THE MOELLER WAY. High School Placement Test Prep Camp

This camp works to strengthen test-taking skills, master time-management strategies, motivate and build self-confidence. It will also show what to expect on test day. All students attending the camp must purchase Barron’s COOP, HSPT, and TACHS practice book. Copyright 2005 or newer. Book can be found at most book stores or online. All students must complete and score the HSPT Practice Test #1 prior to the first day of class. Please bring the practice test score on the first day to establish a baseline score for the camp.
