The Moeller Cross Country runners had somewhat of a disappointing season this year, winning only ·one of their meets. In the first three meets of the · season, Moeller lost to Mariemont, loveland, and Colerain respectively. Moeller's big win was over Milford in the fourth meet of the year. In the Roger Bacon Invitational, Moeller placed 7th out of 15 schools. In the Sycamore Invitational, Moeller placed 9th out of 16. And finally, in the Princeton Invitational, Moeller placed 12th out of the 15 schools entering the competition.

Soccer Finishes at 8-1-1 Moeller made a clean sweep in the "The Week of Champions," beating Elder by a score of 4-1. Kevin Donovan and Tom Hertlein, a freshman, each made a pair of goals. The soccer team was a bit disappointed when they did not receive a state bid to the playoffs. The state pass went to Dayton Centerville. Mr. Fred Manegold is the coach of the soccer team. With the tremendous record of the soccer team, Mr. Manegoid has made, or is in the process of making, a place for himself, up there with the "pros."

The Moeller basketball team wound up their season with an 8-10 record. Their first league win of the year was over Purcell, at Purcell. The score of that game was 59-55. The leading scorer of the game ,_ was Joe Dunphy with 20 points. Ted Torbeck gained for Moeller an impressive six straight points in the last minute and a half of the game. The biggest upset by Moeller this year was their76-75 win over LaSalle. Joe Dunphy, again, led the scoring, with 30 points, a season record for Moe.ller. Bob Oeters scored 16 points while grabbing 18 rebounds. The reserve record this year was 11-6 overall, and 6-3 in league play. With graduation, Moeller will lose some fine players, but at the same time will pick up some good players from the reserve level, assuring us that the 1974-75 basketball season should be just as exciting as the 73-74 season.
