The history of the Itema Group has its origins in the entrepreneurial drive of Gianni Radici , who from 1967 built a solid business at the forefront of the global mechanical textile industry through significant partnerships and acquisitions. Headquartered in Colzate, 60% of Itema's shares now belong to Gianni Radici's heirs, while the remaining 40% are held by the Arizzi and Torri families.

In 2022, Itema Group had a turnover of € 338 million and 1,099 employees in 7 production plants and 15 locations worldwide

The parent company Itema® is today one of the world's leading suppliers of advanced weaving solutions . It is also the only manufacturer in the world to produce looms with the three best weft insertion technologies without a shuttle: rapier, airjet and projectile.

Itema Group is also active in the industrial sector through Schoch®, a manufacturer of accessories for the textile industry, and Lamiflex®, a supplier of composite components for the mechanical-textile, industrial, aerospace and medical sectors.
