Equipping youth workers with everything they need

YOUTH WORK ACADEMY

AGENDA 2018

The Youth Work Academy is born out of the vision of a world where all young people can discover their true value and build their best future, and driven by a desire to see youth workers equipped with everything they need. So often the vocabulary, motives and resources that are put into and lead the youth

work agenda are driven by the changeable value people hold for young people, an ever shifting political agenda and an ever decreasing budget. We work hard to ensure that those working with young people and the youth work agenda as a whole, is driven by the needs of young people, our youth workers and our communities.

Here at the Youth Work Academy, we work hard at: Developing skills of those working with young people so they can do it effectively and safely. Encouraging thought & understanding through inspiration and reflection. Providing care for youth workers so they can invest in themselves to be able to invest in others. To book onto any of our events or training please visit: Enabling delivery through www.ywa.eventbrite.co.uk creating and providing resources, tools and tips.

Mid Suffolk Youth Network It’s going to be out of this world ... Youth Work is (we believe) the greatest profession on earth. But if you want to do it right, it’s also one of the hardest. The pressures young people face and the pressures on youth workers mean that burn out and lack of resources are a constant threat… So in February 2018 the Suffolk Youth Work Summit will be born. A day of inspirational and energising talks, all designed to ... well inspire and energise you.
