Skizza Gallery, Jerusalem Skizza Gallery in the Jerusalem House of Quality Art-Centre was established in May 2007. This project was created and is co-run by the two art curators Marina Genkina and Marina Schelest as well as by artist Shmuel (Anatoly) Schelest. The Gallery is divided into two part: Shmuel’s Studio and a little garden which is active only during the summer. Large exhibitions (as well as wintertime large group activities) are held in the Exhibition Hall of the Jerusalem House of Quality. During its existence, the Gallery performed a manifold of exhibitions, a series of concerts, copious amounts of Musical evenings as well as lectures and Movie screenings. So, with the help of the Ministry of Absorption (Centre for the Absorption of artists – new repatriates) three serious projects were brought to life: "From the Countries of Migration" (20082013, every exhibition shows the creativity of artists from one of those countries) "ART… АРТ … – "ארטan annual Festival of Contemporary Israeli Art, from 2012 up to now. "Jerusalem’s Rainbow" – an annual festival of thematic exhibitions, from 2013 up to now. “Skizza” also develops projects: "Wanderings of the Sons of Israel" has traveled the world: Jerusalem, Israel (2009), Koln-Mainz-Chemnitz, Germany (2011), Dnipropetrovsk-Kiev, Ukraine (2012), Jerusalem, Israel (2013). The said project was done with the aid of the Fund “Genesis” and Ministry of Information and Diaspora of Israel. "Adam, where are thou?", 2014 with the participation of Israel’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of Georgia. The exhibition "Adam, where are thou?" was successfully shown in the Tbilisi Academy of Arts Exhibition Halls, and has generated so much interest that it has become the beginning of a much bigger project – the exchange of art exhibitions of Israeli and Georgian artists between said countries. The activities of the Skizza Gallery were numerously reported by the Israeli Media.

Took 11 solo exhibitions of drawings, pastel and watercolors in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. 1991 – repatriated to Israel, lives in Jerusalem. В первой выставке – "Дом" – работы, погружающие в личное пространство детских воспоминаний, в общую квартиру "доисторической" родины, соседствовали с домами и пейзажами Израиля, ставшего общим домом для всех нас.
In the first exhibition – "House" – the works take the visitor into the private space of childhood memories, into the common apartment of "prehistoric" homeland, neighboring to the houses and landscapes of Israel, which became a common house for all of us.
"Мишпаха" продолжила эту тему, само название этой выставки звучит очень по-израильски, соответствует главным ценностям страны и напоминает о том, что и мы все – тоже одна семья. И эта выставка была не только о сегодняшнем дне, она тоже о воспоминаниях, оставленных в прошлой жизни, о людях, которых с нами нет, о ностальгии.
"Mishpacha" continued this theme, the name alone of this exhibition sounds very Israeli, it coincides with the core values of the country and reminds us all that we too – are all one family. And this exhibition was not only about the current day but also about memories left behind in the previous life, about people that are no longer in our lives, about nostalgia.
Наверное, на первый взгляд, кажется, что выставка "Только новое", на которой были представлены только работы 2016-2017 года, выбивается из темы, но для нас эта третья часть триптиха была логичным продолжением первых двух. "Только новое" знакомило с тем, что создали художники в новом для них доме – в Израиле, в новой израильской "семье".
Maybe on first glance it seems that the exhibition "New Works", on which only works from 2016-2017 were presented, breaks from the theme, but for us this third exhibition was a logic conclusion to the first two. "Only new" showed what the artists made in a home that is new for them – in Israel, in their new Israeli "family".
