aking up in Las Vegas is like no other experience in the world. In a city bursting with fun, fantastic and fashionable things to do, decisions about what to choose and the fear of missing out are sure to loom large. That’s where we come in. Our May issue treats you to the best shows in town—Janet Jackson’s residency “Metamorphosis,” Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty tour, rockers Snow Patrol, comedians Seth Myers, Jim Gaffigan and Gabriel Iglesias, Nevada Ballet Theatre’s “Alice in Wonderland” and more. When it’s time to fuel up or wind down, find inspiration in our piece on Dining Adventures. Sorted by occasion and ambience, it’s your guide to the finest experience in town, be it with family, friends, colleagues or for one of Vegas’ prime attractions—celebrity spotting. For a high impact, low footprint outing, Flamingo Road Corridor is the name of the game. This stretch packs in everything from the underwater “WOW—The Vegas Spectacular” show and amazing food, to wicked libation options and star power—Cardi B, Skrillex—at the hip, new nightclub Kaos. But there’s so much more to Vegas than high-octane fun. Indulge in the mellow delights of high tea at Aria Resort & Casino, a stroll through the Bellagio Conservatory, with seasonal displays (currently “Japanese Spring,” pictured), or the Spring Preserve. Good luck deciding. Trust us, you can’t go wrong.

WHERE TO TAKE CLIENTS The Palm Business gets done at The Palm (Forum Shops at Caesars, 702.732.7256), the steakhouse with a wall of caricatures representing famous Las Vegas performers. Lunch and dinner options include Atlantic salmon fillet, jumbo lump crab cakes, grilled chicken paillard, and even steakhouse burgers. For a particularly important meeting, ask for a booth inside; otherwise, sit on the indoor patio to talk business while watching shoppers pass by.

Dining Adventures

Las Vegas knows how to take care of just about any kind of dinner outing, whether it’s heading out with the girls for a night out, celebrating a bachelor party, eating with the kids or spotting celebrities. Restaurants can handle wedding plans, whether getting married or holding a reception, and can help with business, either landing a big deal or entertaining clients. Here’s a look at 12 restaurants in Las Vegas that are ready to cater to every dining whim. Susan Stapleton

ALL IN THE FAMILY

Topgolf Business and golf go handin-hand, so Topgolf (MGM Grand, 702.933.8458) ups the game with climate-controlled hitting bays and menu items spanning brunch on the weekends to dinner and bottle service. Order al pastor style pork or sugar cane shrimp lettuce wraps then add some kalbi short rib tacos or a chicken Boursin and bacon flatbread while swinging the clubs. And with no one waiting behind you to play through, business can take the front seat.

Rainforest Cafe Round up the kids for a trip through the jungle at Rainforest Cafe (Harmon Corner, 702.891.8580). Children get an activity book filled with puzzles and trivia and order from the kid’s menu that features Jurassic chicken tidbits, python pasta and Rainforest rascals, aka mini burgers. Kids can choose sides such as veggies, mashed potatoes or apple sauce to complete their meals with a jungle setting as the backdrop. Lazy Dog Not only is Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar (Downtown Summerlin, 702.727.4784 and Town Square, 702.941.1920) family friendly, but dog friendly, too. Kids can build their own pizza or try hand-breaded chicken nuggets, mini corn dogs or noodles with butter or marinara sauce. Each dish comes with a drink and a choice of a side such as fresh fruit, carrots, fries or mashed potatoes. Brunch options include buttermilk bone cakes or French toast dippers. Dogs get treated to a bowl of water. Menu choices for your pooch include a plate of brown rice or versions with a grilled hamburger patty or a chicken breast, all on the patio.

BACHELORS BLT Steak Whiskey and steaks come together at BLT Steak (Bally’s, 702.967.4661), the handsome steakhouse that stays open late to feed hungry partyers. Hearty fare meant for fueling an all-nighter includes the Kansas City 28-day dryaged bone-in strip and the 22-ounce dry-aged bone-in rib-eye steak. A grilled two-pound Maine lobster is enough to share. Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill An English pub in the middle of Las Vegas as only Gordon Ramsay can do it. Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill (Caesars Palace, 702.731.7410) marries British pub food with TVs galore showing sporting events from around the world. Bachelors feting the groom can pick from 36 beers on tap or 63 bottled beers while dining on classic fish and chips, shepherd’s pie or sticky toffee pudding, all specialties of the television personality.
