In this Mosaic… I think I’ve been divining since I was very small, if I apply the first part of that definition. And, I don’t think I’m the only one reading this magazine who can say that. But I can’t say that I know a lot about dowsing or divining with pendulums and that is the subject of our next Mystic Meeting. The pendulum is an ancient divination tool made up of a string or solid rod, with a weight attached to the end, that can swing freely. Used as far back as 2000 BC by the Egyptians, Hebrews and Chinese, it is believed to bridge the gap between the left side of the brain (analytical) and the right side of the brain (intuitive) or our conscious and subconscious minds. Both geniuses, Albert Einstein and Leonardo De Vinci, are known to have used dowsing and many scientists believe that electromagnetic energy is what causes the pendulum to respond. boccabellaphoto.com
Others compare a pendulum to a radio antenna. In the same way that a radio picks up information from unseen radio waves, a pendulum similarly works as a powerful antenna or transmitter that can receive information from the vibrations and energy waves emitted by people, places, thoughts and things.
by Connie Brisson I’ve always been fascinated by mystical things. From the time I was small, I knew there was more to life than the normal, everyday, just getting through the day routines. It didn’t make any sense to me that it could be otherwise. I always felt there was something magical out there, a different way to live life, but I didn’t know how to access it. It was actually my Dad, now that I look back on my life, who opened me to exploring different ideas. My Dad was interested in unique things. He saw a local “energy healer” numerous times in the 1970’s and was impressed by that man’s mysterious abilities to heal. My Dad was fascinated in information/shows on a variety of things in the Bible like Noah’s ark (we even went to a movie in a theatre in the 1970’s about that), as well as extra-terrestrials, sasquatches and so many other things that were truly not main stream in those days. Many years ago I remember him inviting a diviner to our farm. He wanted to drill a water well and asked this man to find the exact spot to drill it. I recall that because to me that was magic. That someone could come with a piece of rod/wood and tell my Dad where there was water so far beneath the ground, well, that was amazing to me. Divine. I always love a play on words and I want to share with you the word “divine.” As a verb, divining means to discover (something) by guesswork or intuition or to have supernatural or magical insight into (future events). Lastly, it means to discover (water) by dowsing.

Mosaic Magazine — Summer 2017
Mystics believe that the pendulum connects us with a divine source, a higher power, angels, guides and the collective consciousness of the Universe. Many use the pendulum to ask questions to Spirit and receive mystical guidance. While no one knows for sure how the pendulum works, you do not have to be psychic to use it. If you are curious, then come and experience it for yourself at our next Mystic Meeting. Debra Bourne, owner of Where Faeries Live (www. wherefaerieslive.com), will be teaching us how to use a pendulum for dowsing. While most people ask “yes-no” type questions with their pendulum, this is only a start. At the meeting Debra will lead us through a number of exercises to show us different ways that pendulum dowsing can help us get answers to assist us in our everyday lives. To get the most from this meeting (as this will be a “hands-on” class) please bring a pendulum with you. Join us on Tuesday, June 6, Lucina Centre, 9505 – 163 Street, Edmonton, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. The cost is $20 cash at the door and please bring a gift wrapped book for the book exchange. RSVP by June 5 at mosaicmagazine@ shaw.ca if you can come. I hope to see you there. Lastly, if you (like me) are wondering what manifesting technique Catherine Potter used to begin winning the weekly bank draws (in her story on page 20), you’ll be able to read ALL about it in an upcoming Mosaic ezine/newsletter (June or July). Just go to www. MosaicMagazine.ca and sign up to receive the free ezine as an email in your inbox. This monthly ezine contains different articles and information not in the printed magazine. It’s just another resource for you. J

Experience Rosen Method Movement “This work is about transformation ~ from the person we think we are to the person we really are. In the end, we can’t be anyone else.” – Marion Rosen A Rosen Method Movement class is a rare opportunity in my daily routine to have the experience of moving my body the way it was designed to move. Marion Rosen, the founder of Rosen Method Bodywork, also designed a movement component to her somatic based therapy. Using her physiotherapist and somatic background, Marion created Rosen Method Movement as a way to help people re-awaken their capacity to move with ease and to inhabit themselves with awareness and selfcompassion. The hallmark of Rosen Method Movement is the simplicity of the movements which, supported by music, invite freedom of movement. Rosen Method Movement classes use simple, physical therapy based movements that invite the possibility of remembering our body’s intrinsic ability for moving with greater ease, inner support and aliveness. Marion knew that the possibility for deep, lasting transformation within a person lay in their ability to experience themselves inside their bodies and allow themselves to rest in that awareness instead of avoiding it, as most people are used to doing. Modern life has created a society of people living as human “doings” rather than human “beings,” depriving themselves from the incredible resource that is their very own bodies. Rosen Method Movement classes allow people to release the chronic or habitual, physical holding patterns in their bodies and in the process, rediscover the joy of movement. Rosen Method Movement encourages natural, free breathing and uses gentle stretching, swinging and exercises to improve body alignment and flexibility. During each class the joints of the body are moved through their full range of motion in a way that invites sensory awareness. This means that the movements are designed to allow the body to move with ease and awareness instead of effort and performance. The effect is restorative and liberating.
postural habits (how I have had to carry myself in this world) with me as I move. Now it is clearer to me exactly why I experienced repeated injury in certain areas of my body. Lacking internal awareness of my joints, I would often move my body without proper muscle differentiation. This created overcompensations by larger muscle groups and muscle weakness in the deeper muscle groups, resulting in habitual injury. Rosen Method Movement has helped me to regain a sense of structural support and proper muscle function from within my body and as a result I can move out into the world with a deep internal sense of ease and well-being.
Balance I © Doris Charest — www.dorischarest.ca
by Cinnamon Cranston Certified Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner
In addition to improved body awareness, Rosen Method Movement has returned to me the experience of moving with playfulness, gentleness and aliveness. Not since I was a young child have I allowed myself to move with such a sense of authenticity. In my adult life I have mostly moved with a sense of getting things done and working hard or on the opposite end of the spectrum, complete collapse on the couch because I have nothing left.
I have also discovered more recently during a Rosen Method Movement Intensive, that my body does indeed have a natural, intelligent way that it likes to move, but I need to slow down and listen to it. During a Rosen Movement class I find this possibility and can let go of my unconscious habitual movements that put my body through unnecessary strain and effort. Through Rosen Method Movement a whole new world of possibility emerges of living and moving in the world with an internal sensation of spaciousness and well-being. Nature, horses and spirituality
I was born in Jasper National Park and have the honor of being the daughter, granddaughter and great niece of Park Wardens, mountain guides and horse outfitters dating back to 1909. I feel blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to experience the connection and spirituality of nature and horses as I travelled the trails en route to the next cabin or campsite. My roots are connected to these mountains, nature and horses. Ancestral wisdom, teachings and heart-felt energy resonate within my soul. The experiential natural feeling of wellness I received through horses and nature was instrumental in developing our healing model of wellness. HeartMath research has shown that the heart has a mind of its own and affects our “awareness, perceptions and intelligence.” The electromagnetic field of a horse’s heart is five times stronger than that of a human’s heart. There is a direct relationship between the heart rate rhythm and frequency patterns of the magnetic field that is communicated throughout the body and into the external environment.
back as awareness of your truth emerges. Synchronizing your breath with a horse invokes a state of relaxation similar to the experience of meditation. This heightened perception and level of consciousness of being “present in the moment” is the greatest lesson taught by a horse. In the silence of horse’s company you receive their gift of mindfulness as your soul awakens in heart-felt connection. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual resilience becomes out of balance or alignment during periods of stress, adversity, trauma and daily challenges. Being with horses assists learning self-regulation techniques that will shift our physiology into a more coherent state. Unresolved human emotions carry a lower, denser vibrational energetic charge. Horses resonate at higher vibrational levels than humans. Therefore, horses can sense and identify unresolved emotions, feelings and thoughts.

by Maggie Wilkins-Klammer Equine Facilitated Learning Coach Stress related to the busyness of life accounts for 60-80% of primary care physician visits. The HeartMath statistical report concluded only 3% might receive stress management help. Our fast paced media centered world has adversely created technological dependency. Although this same technology is allowing us to receive information at the touch of a button, it is causing feelings of disconnectedness to our body~mind~emotional~spiritual wellness.
Often we are not even conscious of these aspects of ourselves that result from stress, anxiety, being overwhelmed or feeling helpless. The horse’s response to these energetic vibrations provides immediate feedback on how we “show up” to the world. Post session reflection on the response given by the horse engages personal awareness about our choices and actions to change reoccurring patterns.
The Equine Coaching & Experiential Learning Programs offered at our ranch provide the perfect sanctuary to de-stress from the busyness of daily life. Mindfulness through nature and horses energies transform you from your headspace to your heart-space. This allows for a harmonious flow of ease and grace as you foster balance in your body, mind, emotions and spiritual wellness. Maggie is a Registered Nurse and has 40+ years of equine and healing arts experience. She offers workshops, retreats and individual sessions at their ranch, one hour east of Edmonton. Mother Earth’s magnetic and energetic fields are carriers of biologically relevant information that binds the interconnectedness of all living things. Nature has her own rhythms and patterns. There is constant vibrational communication within us as we learn awareness through our senses. When we become grounded with Mother Earth a feed-back loop is generated between our energetic systems providing a sense of inner balance and harmony. Horses provide a spiritual and mystical presence. As you gaze into the eye of the horse you look deeply into their soul. The very essence of their spirit is reflected www.MosaicMagazine.ca

The coming spiritual revelation Rarely does humanity encounter an event significant enough to change the course of civilization. Even rarer are happenings that leave their mark on humanity for eons to follow. Today, humanity stands on the threshold of an event unseen before in the history of human evolution and which promises to transform humankind forever. This impending event has been anticipated by countless traditions spanning thousands of years and recent decades have seen a marked increase in prophesies and expectations surrounding this hope. The Ageless Wisdom Teachings recognise all existence as having to do with the development of consciousness and provide a fascinating description on the evolution of consciousness through material forms. At particular junctures in this long and arduous journey, humanity faces moments of great crisis in self-realisation – leading to a cry for help to (and subsequent response from) that Divine Source from which it came and seeks ultimate reunion. The present period of global crisis is just such a time in our history, necessitating a new spiritual stimulus and revelation. According to the esoteric teachings by Alice A. Bailey, one major energy coursing through humanity today – the Shamballa Force – has been released only twice before in the entire history of human development, each outpouring resulting in dramatic and fundamental transformation. The first such stimulus resulted in the very genesis of the human kingdom itself and allowed for a significant portion of the animal kingdom to acquire the first seeds of mind.
humanity and is unfolding in two stages – once at the beginning of the 20th century, resulting in the first and second world wars, and again beginning around 1975 through to this current period of time. This transformative force acts as the destroyer, clearing the path of all that would hinder the coming of the new World Teacher, Maitreya, expected today by all major religions as their “Awaited One.” The results have been extraordinary and humanity now convulses in a state of acute global crisis – with the forces of Light and Darkness locked in full battle. Everywhere we see corruption, greed, selfishness, bigotry and fear exposed for the poisonous influence they are within the institutions and structures of our civilization. On the other hand, we daily witness people around the world join together in peaceful demonstrations demanding justice, freedom, unity and sharing. The Inner Light © Bernadette McCormack — www.bernadettemccormack.com
by Todd Lorentz
Soon, the World Teacher will step forward in the midst of this great crisis and reveal to humanity the path forward to a future based on truth, unity and love. On this “Day of Declaration” humanity will collectively experience an inner revelation of their divine unity and, for the first time, comprehend the fullness of their spiritual nature.
In this transformative moment humanity will choose Light over Dark, and thus will the battle be won. Mankind will return to the Path of Light and build the new era, no longer living in blindness and confusion but directing its own spiritual evolution with a clear understanding of our divine heritage and destiny. The new revelation is now imminent! See the Calendar of Events section (near the end of this magazine) for free public talks on this approaching event. The second great outpouring of Shamballa Force resulted in the final destruction of the Atlantian race, thus deposing the corrupt forces which had overcome civilization and initiating an entirely new epoch and phase of development for humanity. In this new period, humanity will labour to fully develop the Higher Mind and make contact – individually and as a whole – with their Higher Self. The third release of Shamballa Force has now arrived, ushering in the beginning of this next great step for

Gemstones for releasing clutter by Skye MacLachlan Gemstone Therapist/Teacher Have you been struggling with clutter issues that never seem to get resolved? Help is waiting for you in the gemstone kingdom! Once you’ve identified your clutter type, at least one gemstone can work with you as an ally to free you from your issues with clutter.
TYPE 5: Sometimes we don’t deal with our clutter due to the belief that it’s too hard and there’s not enough time available to do it. If you fall into this type, you might often find that life leaves you feeling overwhelmed. These three stones (use one or more) will help you let go of feeling overwhelmed: green prehnite, scolecite and amethyst. Follow these with multi-colored agate. This stone helps you tackle the clutter one step at a time and feel great about your accomplishments! TYPE 6: This type shops to self-medicate and feel better. They often over-give their time and energy to others and shopping is their way to receive back. For this, use golden citrine or sunstone, as these stones help you to set boundaries and let yourself shine from within – without the need to constantly shop!
TYPE 1: You keep items just in case you might need them at some time in the future. These gemstones will help you shift from poverty consciousness (holding on) to prosperity consciousness (letting go): dark green aventurine (filled with lots of fuchsite sparkles) and chrysoprase.
TYPE 3: This type buys items to gain the approval of others – tying one’s reputation to how much of the right stuff you have. Because self-esteem comes from within, no amount of “stuff” will ever fulfil the inner need for love and acceptance. Rhodochrosite is a beautiful gemstone with layers of pink and white. These layers bring light and love, infusing you with emotional healing. Rhodochrosite will awaken inner gifts, as you release the need for outer approval.
The Rush © Oksana Zhelisko — www.zheliskoart.com
TYPE 2: These individuals have clutter collecting patterns which have been inherited from a parent/ancestor. Often there is a burden of unconscious pressure to align with dysfunctional family traditions. Petrified wood will help you to identify and release ancestral patterns that are limiting your present growth. Use petrified wood in conjunction with blue chalcedony, this stone soothes away old fears that keep you locked in dysfunctional patterns.
TYPE 7: These individuals hold onto items they don’t even like, all because it’s a gift! If you fall into this type, you’re living your life to please others. For this issue, gemstones that connect with spiritual allies and angels are the most helpful. Here are a few: angel aura quartz, celestite, angelite, azestulite and larimar. Last of all, the gemstone superstar for all clutter types is fluorite! If something is not for your highest good, fluorite will help you kick it out the door (without regret), leaving you feeling lighter and brighter. Gemstones are powerful helpers. Call upon them for assistance and it won’t be long before your current clutter patterns are an ancient memory! Acknowledge that change unfolds one step at a time. Celebrate each step and enjoy an easier and more harmonious life!
In 2018, Skye will be teaching “The Crystalline Gemstone Therapist Program” at Northern Star College of Mystical Studies, where she also teaches/practices Feng Shui, Tarot and Dreamwork. Email her at skyedreamhorse@shaw.ca Note: This information is for educational purposes only. It’s intended to supplement your current health program, not to replace the care of a licensed medical doctor. Thoroughly research all topics for yourself.
TYPE 4: Scrooge would have fallen into this type. He’d say: “I paid a whole bunch of money for this ugly thing, and I’m going to get my money’s worth out of it!” Lovely rose quartz is your gemstone helper for all scrooge behavior. This gemstone will soften your heart and help you see that someone else might benefit from your expensive purchase (which you no longer even enjoy). Spirit may have intended it for that person all along, using you as an earth angel! www.MosaicMagazine.ca

What is biological dentistry? According to the IAOMT, biological dentistry is not a separate specialty of dentistry. Rather, it is a thought process, an attitude, that can apply to all facets of dental practice and to health care in general - to always seek the safest, least toxic way to accomplish the goals of modern dentistry and do it while treading as lightly as possible on the patient’s biological terrain. A more biocompatible approach to oral health is the hallmark of biological dentistry. Concerns for the impact on biological responses are directed toward materials and procedure choices. Biological dentistry offers mercury-free and mercury-safe delivery and recognizes that teeth, gums and structures of the mouth are not isolated entities but in fact, integral parts of the whole body. Consideration of each patient as an individual with needs specific to the person helps direct treatment delivery in a way that “works with rather than working on” the patient - a simple, yet extremely profound, statement. Early pioneers in the philosophical development of biological dentistry trace back to the 1900’s when Canadian born, Dr. Weston Price, DDS, searched beyond teeth to identify the impact of nutrition on overall health and dental disease. He literally traveled the planet studying numerous indigenous populations concluding that when the native diet was replaced by refined “Western food” dental health suffered. He noted that many essential trace minerals necessary for tooth development are missing in today’s refined foods. Dr. Hal Huggins was an early antagonist against the use of silver mercury amalgam restorations believing them to be potentially harmful to the human body. So effective was his position that the more traditionally minded dental authority revoked his dental license. He continued publication of his beliefs until his passing. He was a prominent force toward recognition of the biocompatibility of dental materials.
of numerous independent but interconnected, mutually affective systems. Each is designed to function as per their intended design yet reliant on the rest of the system for mutual survival, support and successful undertaking of their independent roles for the benefit of the whole body. Eastern medicine is effective at analyzing the various parts of the body to determine the health or lack of appropriate function of supporting systems. Yin and yang recognize the significance of interactive balance for the proper function of the human physiology. Our Western approach to treating for health has followed a path of specialization for specific functions, organs or systems. Objectively, a combination of the two systems of study would offer the best of both approaches. Penny Whistle © Angie Rees — angierees.com
by Dr. Terry Clark & Dr. William Yoo
Biological dentistry undertakes harmonization of specialties looking at the whole body and applying treatment protocols that are safe, less toxic and non-invasive when possible. Keeping abreast of new technology and development of materials and techniques is vital to the biological practitioner.
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is newer technology coming to the dental treatment world. PRF has been used in medicine to increase the body’s own healing process. Blood platelets affect the release of growth factors for wound healing and stimulate the stem cells to quickly produce new host tissue. The result is faster, smart tissue regeneration with more effective post-treatment healing for dental implant, bone grafting and repair. More on PRF healing in the next issue of Mosaic. Dr. Terry Clark and Dr. William Yoo are graduates of the University of Sydney, Australia with numerous memberships including IAOMT (Int. Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology), Holistic Dental Association. Visit Eco-friendly www.rootsonwhytedental.com or call 780-438-6863. Note: This information is for educational purposes only. Current crusaders include Californian, Dr. Tom McGuire. He recognizes the three most important factors affecting overall health to include amalgam fillings, gum disease and jaw infections including root canal treated teeth. He is a strong proponent for preventive dentistry to address the causes of dental disease. The idea of biological dentistry is an attempt to reassert the notion that the human body is a living arrangement www.MosaicMagazine.ca

Retreats for healing yourself There is a young boy and girl in a field. They are standing beside a big pile of manure. The girl picks up a shovel and starts shoveling the manure with a very determined look on her face. The boy asks the girl what she is doing. The girl replies: “With all this poop here, I know there is a pony in here somewhere and I WANT THE PONY!” In 1998, I totally crashed, emotionally and physically. During therapy, when I started to feel little bits of a new joy surfacing inside me (feeling my goodness), the therapist I was seeing told me that pony story. I absolutely wanted and needed more of those good feelings, not just bits. I wanted the WHOLE PONY! For me, the pony was this indescribable feeling of reconnection with my spirit, my authentic core, my gentleness and my self-love which I had hidden away in a safe place, deep inside me, where it couldn’t be touched by all the hurt and trauma around me in my childhood and subsequent triggers in my adult life. There is a light that gets turned on inside of us when we reconnect with our spirit - our real self. I came from a place of: “Don’t trust anybody and watch your back” to a place of now truly seeing, feeling and believing in the goodness of people and in me. Healing is about unburying yourself from all the stress and toxicity of your wounds. It’s about freeing yourself of all of the accumulated crap (physical, mental, spiritual and emotional) that covers up who we really are, as it can be running our lives. For me, it included learning to feel and allow emotions but not being governed by them and then finding out who I really was underneath it all.
On my journey, one of the things that helped me immensely was participating in retreats for my own healing. This awareness energized me to create Healing Retreats to help you on your journey. Jeanne, a 32-year-old client from Stony Plain, who recently completed one of my retreats said: “This retreat was awesome. The suite is a cozy, quiet hideaway to unwind so I could focus on my needs. I feel so good, such lightness, after cleansing my colon, my lymph and reducing my stress too. I shifted some deep wounding and found pieces of myself that I didn’t know were missing with the Spiritual Healing Therapy. Next time, my husband is coming too. Norma is awesome – professional – yet she really hears you. And bonus, she gave me some great raw vegan food treats to go!”

Claiming our medicine by Sarah Salter-Kelly Shaman There comes a time in our lives where our need to love and accept ourselves for who we are as we are - overrides our need to change ourselves to suit another, whether that is another person, ideal or lifestyle. For each of us are comprised of a myriad of life experiences, unique stories from the expanses we have crossed in our journeys upon this planet, that have brought us to this quintessential moment in time. Loving and accepting ourselves for who we are (inclusive of) how we got here opens the doorway for us to live authentically from our hearts. What most often gets in the way of this is our fear, pain and suffering... the experiences, which changed the depths of who we are and left us scrambling for meaning and understanding. We tend to be in the habit of disassociating from them; after all they hurt us, are confusing and jam-packed with shame, loss, betrayal, disappointment and abandonment (to name a few). And yet the complexity of being human is held in our duality. Oftentimes someone who hurt us was also someone we loved. The pain does not cancel out the love; it just makes it harder to accept. In Shamanism we recognize that it is our suffering – our “dark” places which hold the greatest of our life’s teachings. These teachings, that when honored and loved, hold the very medicine we need to sustain our spirit and bring forth purpose. It is thought that this “medicine” is something we are compelled to seek out (like an internal drive) for it is what we need to grow and awaken.
receive its medicine. If there is pain or grief still tied up in these places it needs to be expressed. If there is shame or blame, it needs a voice. If there is powerlessness, power must be reclaimed. There is always meaning in what brought us here today as each of us have had the experiences we need to be whole. In a one-to-one healing session I guide individuals on a led journey into their soul to examine (from a metaphorical point of view) what one needs to do to claim the medicine of their journey. Perhaps a power animal or a guide will be of service, providing courage to venture into one’s dark places or maybe one must reach back through time and listen to the needs of their child-self to support themselves in ways that never happened in real life. Powerlessness is also tied up in old wounds, so the journey may be in moving through one’s history and gathering up power from the places where it has been “lost” and expressing any pain tied up in those places. Shamanism is an experiential process where we engage all of our senses. I like to teach classes where I combine the journey, circle process and fire ceremony with the creation of a sacred tool that represents our intention. This summer I am teaching a woman’s rattle making class where our focus is on “Claiming our Medicine,” (see ad in the Calendar of Events section near the end of this magazine.) Savoring the medicine of our journey offers us the strength we need to believe in ourselves and feel like we belong on this planet. Sarah specializes in soul healing; her methods are clear, comprehensive and practical. Private sessions are in Edmonton or Pigeon Lake. As we gather years, we have space to view the paths that brought us to this moment in time and from this vantage point we may question whether or not we have accepted the medicine from each of our journeys - the fires we have walked through, the moments where our worlds have fallen apart, the times where we could barely manage to get out of bed and meet the day. These are the moments where we are able to recognize who we are and what we are made of. Unhealthy patterns are an indication that we are stuck in stories of suffering and need to shift our point of view to www.MosaicMagazine.ca

What is love? We have all asked the question: “What is love?” Interestingly, this question was answered in a lucid dream I will be describing later in this article, but first let’s explore the foundations of pure love and its conduit, light. We know about human conditional love, explored through loving our parents, or gazing across the classroom with that innocent spark of infatuation, and as our maturity evolved, the loving adult relationship of love appeared. But what about divine love, the anomaly or faith based belief system that seeks to connect us to the higher power that created us. The truth is, what ever we believe or don’t believe will not change or alter divine truth or the reality of the universal love and light consciousness. To appreciate our connection to the light, let’s look deeper into the foundational principals behind it. Light is the vessel, facilitator and source connection between all things in the ever expanding, interdimensional, ethereal realms where it exists. It is through light facilitation our intuition, telepathic abilities and divine love is shared, and how divine creator experiences our vibrations, thoughts and intentions through meditation or prayer. If we expand these principals beyond the quantum realms and universal cosmology and into the laws of sacred geometry, we find embedded within each molecule or cell that tachyon light particles exist. When condensed, these microscopic light particles are foundational to the chi energy, aura or nadis represented in the ancient sacred Vedic texts. They also create the atma or soul while holding pure love and light information about past and current life experiences, and map to our evolutionary future. To expand further, just as fiber optics carry light information, an intra dimensional light communication network also surrounds us. This network transmits information through particles of love and light in the ethers, representing a conduit for our spiritual and telepathic sensors. Although we are not evolved spiritually enough to enjoy the full spectrum of powers that lay dormant, the 2012 alignment and the Aquarian

Age has awakened the progression to manifest these powers. So as the lower density of religious dogmas, 3D conditionings and false knowledge dissolves away, our chakras will harmonically be tuned with the higher vibratory frequencies of light and love. Pure light is innocent, pure innocence mirrors love and love exists everywhere connecting all the dimensions, and waters the garden of creation while expanding the universal love of the Creator. So as evolution proceeds, our vibrations will allow access to the 13 chakras and the subtler frequencies of the interdimensional ethereal realms. It is also interesting that the ancient Mayans received gifts from the survivors of Atlantis. One such gift was the knowledge of the Mayan calendar, while the other was the crystal skulls. The crystal skulls hold vast amounts of light information like a massive cyber optic hard drive, where the true history of our planet and our connection to the star teachers exist. This knowledge within the crystal skulls is accessible, but the key into the skulls vast living library is the frequency of love, accessed by light. Golden Silver Orb © Lisa Kubik — www.lisakubik.com

This all brings us to the poem “What is Love” transcribed while writing my second book, 2012 Enlightened (Trafford Publishing, 2010) a channeled paperback that dared broach the topics of the Earth’s coming transformational and consciousness shifts. My dilemma was how to characterize and explain “creation” in one of the chapters. My request was answered through a beautiful lucid dream, where I was taken into the fifth dimension, a place where time is non-linear and reality is ethereal. It’s a place where our thoughts create, a place where spiritual frequency and vibrations represent who we are, not our words. So through the Isvara consciousness, divine love was gently explained to me as the foundation of creation. It was also mentioned that it was important to share this poem because we are living in tribulation with many changes coming to the conceptual paradigm, where dogmas and illusions of the 3D world will fall away and humanity will become mystified when it learns we were misled with falsehoods put in place to deceive and undermine our evolutionary birthright. www.MosaicMagazine.ca
“What is Love” is a road map to understanding our birthright, allowing children of the light a pure understanding of just how beautiful we are. So as I was starting to awaken from this most beautiful lucid place, I was requested to write down what was told to me. So as each word was gently whispered into my attention, this poem of divine love was written down. WHAT IS LOVE What is love, but the pure essence of the soul expanding into another form, as it allows two to become one and one to become formless with all that is, and all that will ever be. Love is beyond this life, and yet it is all that we really are. Love knows no boundaries, no limits to its making or its sharing. It softly crosses the valleys, the oceans, up the mountains moving beyond the most distant stars. It is as gentle as the most beautiful dream, but is beyond thought. Love has no form and no desire other than to be collective with all that can accept its magnificent radiance. Unconditionally it is and will always be, it is formless and mindless and fills the human heart with all it can handle, overflowing its limited capacity of self, ego and conditionings. Love has no boundary on its pure compassion, nor does it understand self or can it be captured and hoarded. It is free flowing as the summer winds that blow though the mountain trees or like the forest streams that nourish all those that come to share its refreshing essence. Love is and will always be and never was there a time it did not exist, nor a time it will not be. The formless, mindless, thoughtless, all compassionate unconditional love is all there is, and all that will ever be. Love is the spirit, the loyal friend that guides us through the emotional rains of life, with no desires or conditions. Love is all that we are and all we can ever be, there is no more and no less, everything else is just the illusion. Love is all I have, and all that I am … My beautiful journey allowed living in India where I studied classical music and the vibrations of music aligned with ancient Vedic spiritual principals. After coming back to Canada I opened a higher learning center in the mountains, Nirmala Sangeet Retreat, and created Dancing in the Light, an enlightened musical theater production performed in Vancouver’s QE theatre. It’s a beautiful story of a soul’s reincarnation through the ages – brought to life utilizing top musicians, Tibet horns, Cirque du Soleil choreographer / Vancouver Ballet and Haida First Nation Mask dancers. The original songs performed are from my current CD, Journey to Nirvana. It has been nice to share my story with you. Until next time, Namaste. Love and Light. Finding inner stillness The book An Everyone Culture (Harvard Business School Publishing, 2016) by Kegan and Lahey, gives some clues about what to do. It is about organizations that have successfully met pivotal moments. The book details how they prepared their staff to navigate challenge, error and vulnerability. The companies they studied were not just financially successful, they were WILDLY successful. These companies helped their business professionals find the stillness within themselves. As they did this, their profitability SOARED. Here are three examples from diverse businesses. BRIDGEWATER ASSOCIATES (Investment/Financial Industry) - Ray Dalio is the founder of the investment firm Bridgewater Associates. It is one of the world’s largest hedgefunds, managing over $160 billion. Ray has created a clear set of principals that guide the Bridgewater community. These principals were founded on radical truth and radical transparency. Are you asking what that is? Everyone speaks frankly and all operations are open to scrutiny. Everyone can openly and thoughtfully disagree. Tremendous value rests on finding inner stillness. It is the spring-board for radical truth. Then communication processes spark creativity, enhance problem solving and innovative solutions. Over the past 40 years, Ray has found that doing the inner work has been CRITICAL to their business success. NEXT JUMP (E-Commerce Tech Industry) - Charlie Kim is the founder of Next Jump, a company that handles loyalty programs. Headquartered in New York City, the company has over 28,000 merchant partners, 200 employees and is 10 years old. The culture of Next Jump rests on “Better Me + Better You = Better Us.” It’s simple and straight forward. In other words, if I grow, develop and become more successful and if I help you grow, develop and become more successful, then the entire organization becomes more successful. Next Jump put some real weight behind

these words: 50% of the employee’s pay depends on how he/she impacts revenues and 50% depends on how they implement the “Better Me + Better You = Better Us” culture. The bottom line is that the GROWTH of the individual is as vital as growth of the business. And did I mention, this company is also wildly successful! DECURION (Private Corporation: Real Estate, Entertainment and Retirement Homes) - Christopher Forman, the founder of Decurion, provides places for people to flourish. By “flourish” they mean become fully “oneself.” They say that means living an undivided life, one where there is no internal conflict. (I want that!) And, it includes growing into making the contribution that one “is meant” to do. They believe that every human being has something unique to express.

Do you handle pivotal moments well? How do you handle those moments where a key decision has to be made quickly and your point blank decision means you either suffer or you thrive?
Flourishing is the process of living into expressing one’s unique contribution. The outcome has been great profitability for the company. All three arms of the company credit their successful business results to growing people - meaningful relationships, meaningful work, spectacular profitability. These are the winning marbles that everyone wants. Don’t you?
Are you asking: “How do I find inner stillness? How do I meet the pivotal moments in my life resourcefully? How do I create more financial success? These companies credit the development of selfreflective skills as critical to their success. They stretched in pivotal moments. Are you ready to stretch in moments of challenge, error and vulnerability. Do you really want to grow? Are you ready to try new approaches? Are you ready to open to new experiences? Are you ready to get spectacular results? Yes, s-t-r-e-t–c–h-i–n–g is definitely required. But wait a minute. Most of us are “conditioned” to stretching in a way that is not resourceful. I am speaking about a different kind of stretching that emerges when you have inner stillness. Finding inner stillness allows you to stretch with resilience. It allows you to stretch into resourceful solutions when confronted with chaos. See, chaos is not going away. In fact, it pretty much looks like chaos is going to speed up. Sri Bhagavan, Founder of Oneness University, shares: “Chaos, division, breakdown – all precede evolutionary change.” He points out, in chaos there is a huge opportunity to evolve and grow. “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves,” states Viktor E. www.MosaicMagazine.ca
Frankel. Even in the midst of great adversity, he found the still point within himself. So, the first order of business, find your still point. Access that still point where calmness resides, where deep listening is possible, where your intuition can whisper solutions to you - and you can hear them. What pathway helps you to get to your still point when needed most? It is an EVOLUTIONARY process. This type of process combines ancient practices with modern science. It takes us where we have never been before. It calms the swirling inner world. It melts numbing emotions. It releases the hornet’s nest of repetitive thoughts. And it frees up the “stalled” mindset. It is a reliable process. Over and over again, it delivers you to your inner still point. It is a process used at point blank range in chaos, turmoil or rapid change. With this connection, you chart a course out of confusion and disorientation. Others are spinning, unable to act. But you are able to see the natural opening to move forward. And, you have the capacity to step into that opening (and out of the chaos). This evolutionary process helps you stay with what is actually happening inside you. Staying with what is happening inside you leads to great transformation. You see new ways of doing things. You invent new solutions. New creativity emerges. Are you asking: “What’s the process?” It is the Golden Orb Meditation (GOM). The GOM harnesses the power of the creative mind with the intelligence of the heart. Then the true markers of an evolutionary path emerge. Your brain physiology changes. You make more use of your frontal cortex. The result is greater creativity, greater problem solving ability, greater connection to your inner muse. Your heart physiology changes. A dormant intelligence gets activated. You are able to make decisions and take actions based on a high level of intelligence. You see a bigger picture that allows for greater decision-making ability. A natural stillness emerges within you. You connect on a deep level with YOUR PATH in the world. Great clarity emerges. Less and less pushes you off your center. Your family feels this stillness and they too thrive in a new way. Want any of that? Yes! Then you’re welcome to take part in the two-day program to master the Golden Orb Meditation. Oneness University is offering the THE PHENOMENON AND THE GIFT seminar in Calgary July 1 & 2. This seminar takes you on a journey to access the deep stillness within. On the journey you learn the GOM which leads to profound shifts and transformation. The teachings are based on the work of Sri Bhagavan, Founder of Oneness University. Oneness University is an international, spiritual school in southern India. It is home to the Oneness Phenomenon, a living intelligence affecting all of humanity. www.onenessuniversity.org Note: This information is for educational purposes only. Create an amazing customer experience Creating an amazing customer experience is the lifeblood of any business. We can offer solutions to our clients, do promotions and social media, and even slash prices to bring in new customers, but unless we can get those customers to return, our business won’t grow into profitability. Creating an amazing customer experience is all about bringing clients back. And it’s about sending them away happy – happy enough to pass positive feedback about our business along to others, who may then try the products or services we offer for themselves. In turn, they become repeat customers. In the internet age, this has never been more important. If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell six friends. But, if you make customers unhappy on the internet, they can each tell 6,000 friends. If you’re a good salesperson, you can sell anything to anyone once. But it will be your approach to creating an amazing customer experience that determines whether or not you’ll ever be able to sell that person anything else. The essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with customers – a relationship that the individual customer feels that he would like to pursue. So, from a customer experience standpoint, here are a few thoughts… 1) Visualize & Imagine - Each day take a few moments to visualize the kind of customer experience you want to offer. Paint a picture in your mind’s eye of the type of quality customer experience you want the people who deal with you to enjoy. Do you want them to remember you as disinterested, lacking passion and engagement for your role? Or do you want your clients to see you at your best, caring, engaged and passionate about your work as a professional? Visualize yourself delivering a legendary customer experience daily!
meet us face to face, they phone us and they use the internet through email or our website. It is critical that we excel at connecting and engaging with our clients with these entry points. We don’t just want to be competent or as good as our competition. Excellence is our goal! Being on par in terms of price and quality only gets you into the game. Service wins it. 3) Listen Well & Respond With Solutions - A good listener knows that being attentive to what the speaker doesn’t say is as important as being attentive to what he does say. Look for non-verbal cues to get the full gist of what the speaker is sharing. Listening well and responding with appropriate solutions is key to a great customer experience.

4) Exceed & Surprise - Here is a simple but powerful rule: Always give people more than what they expect to get. The art of exceeding expectations is caught up in the little things: remembering the names of people and small details about them and their work. Celebrate their progress. One thing that I have always tried to keep in mind, as difficult as dealing with clients can be, is simply that if we don’t take care of our customers, someone else will. In today’s competitive economy, this is so true! No matter how solid our knowledge base, always grow the passion to serve customers. Creating an amazing customer experience is our goal and our aim, every day. This will ensure you are well paid and make a lot of friends along the way!

Restoring balance with Feng Shui by Skye MacLachlan Feng Shui Consultant
feelings you’d like to experience after this cure is complete.
Feng Shui is based upon the principle of creating harmony between the five living elements: earth, metal, water, wood and fire. When the elements are in balance, we are in balance. If life feels stressful, this indicates disharmony between one or more of the living elements.
In a safe manner, use a tin can to burn the first paper that lists all you’d like to release. Now place a pinch of the ashes on your tiny boat (don’t place your boat in the water just yet). Wash and release the remaining ashes in the river’s water or flush them down a toilet. All ashes, except the pinched amount on your boat, must be released before you do the rest of the cure.
Until mid-February 2018, this destructive relationship between fire and metal will be universally present. As a result, international relationships between countries will be more unsettled and within smaller communities/families, there will often be a feeling of greater impatience and judgment. To a lesser or greater degree, each of us will experience the energies of these two conflicting elements – most commonly through an excess of irritability within and without. The water element can be a great teacher for us during a year of disharmony between fire and metal. Water demonstrates how to be more calm, reflective and flexible. Water also teaches us how to release and “go with the flow.” And because waterways link to one another, they reveal how we might stay connected and receptive to those around us. Here’s a transcendental water cure that counters the aggressive fire/metal energy of this year. Remember that transcendental cures involve some action on your part. Do this cure on a day when you feel open to the changes that the water element will bring to your inner chi and outer life.
Quack of Dawn © Carol Breen — www.carolbreen.ca
In the year of the Fire Rooster, there’s an imbalance between the fire and metal elements. Fire is more aggressive and is melting the weaker metal element, resulting in a destructive outcome.
Now gently drop your tiny boat (with the pinch of ashes on it) into an area of moving water that feels safe for you to observe your boat’s journey from. As you release your boat into the water, hold the intention that your irritability is also being released. This transformation is occurring through the power of the water element and your willingness to change. Without judgment or expectations, observe the journey that your tiny boat takes. Be aware that the specifics of how your boat moves is mirroring your own personal journey of releasing disharmonious energy. Stay open to the guidance and insights that come to you. All aspects of the natural world will be involved in this cure. If a bird flies overhead, be present to the message this bird brings to you. Continue walking along the river until you feel complete. Even after you return home, let the energy of the water stay with you and bless you with the gifts of harmony, flexibility and grace. Choose a body of moving water (such as a river) that you feel comfortable walking beside. Then make a tiny boat from natural, found items. Your boat might simply be a dried spruce cone or large leaf… if it floats, it’s a boat! Now, write a list (on paper) of all the aspects of your life that seem to be contributing to an inner feeling of irritability - aspects you’d like the support of the water element to release. Once the list feels complete, take a new piece of paper and write about the harmonious www.MosaicMagazine.ca

Applied metaphysics by Catherine Potter Astrologer and Hypnotherapist I have long been attracted to the field of metaphysics. The study of the mystical, the nature of reality, interconnection and the laws and forces of nature fascinate me. What I found out about myself shortly after I began to study this vast field was that the practical part of my nature has an intense desire to apply these abstract concepts. Thirty-five years ago when I began my studies the obvious and acceptable ways of exploring metaphysics and mysticism was a religious path or a philosopher’s path. Both of the above, for my purposes, either had too much dogma or too much unapplied theory. Fields such as quantum mechanics, which was still in its infancy, may have put me in the right direction but it was in its own battle trying to gain acceptance from other branches of science. And although it was a field that explored the complexity, creativity and seemingly contradictory universe, it didn’t explore meaning.
We have come a long way in the last three decades. Now, there are thousands of books, courses and videos on metaphysics and mystical studies. However, now more than ever we are being asked to apply theories such as cause and effect, that all life forms are interconnected and in relationship with each other, and that we live in an expanding, responsive, creative universe. I am still a novice when it comes to studying and applying mystical and metaphysical principles. Although some of the ideas are easier for me to grasp than they were three decades ago, and some of what seemed mind blowing then now seems like common sense, I still have a million miles to go. Having said that, the following are two (there are many more) very important things I learned about the field of “Applied Metaphysics.” met·a·phys·ics, noun, the branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space. ap·plied, adjective, (of a subject or type of study) put to practical use as opposed to being theoretical. 1) The study of applied metaphysics is 1% dramatic and 99% application. The 1% is the moment you get an “aha.” An idea cracks you open and gives you a glimpse of an unbounded reality. What keeps that crack open and growing is the 99% commitment it takes to further test and apply (in your life) concepts such as natural laws, theories regarding the nature of reality, interconnection, cause and effect, who we know our self to be, divinity and a thinking creative universe. Applied metaphysics requires rolling up your sleeves and doing the work.
Finding Freedom © Ricardo Copado
Let go of the need to have it all figured out, be willing to make mistakes and have patience as the application, testing and integration of metaphysical theories takes time. Some results are immediate, some unfold over time. Be curious to see how and where the theory you are exploring grows. Consider where you will be in your understanding and implementation of an idea after six weeks, six months, six years. I will throw out another idea – six generations or six lifetimes. Sometimes we plant the seeds for future generations. 2) The mental and emotional state of the practitioner affects the experiment. So there I was in my late twenties - a wife, mother, budding metaphysician with a thirsty mind and a pragmatic bent. Naïve, curious, and somewhat skeptical, along the way I did find friends and teachers who were on similar paths. The skeptical part of me, which in part was fear of the unknown and unexplained, evolved into a discerning mind which led to a desire to test and apply metaphysical theories.

Mosaic Magazine — Summer 2017
There is no such thing as a blind study. When it comes to testing and applying metaphysical theories, beliefs and states of mind impact the outcome. I learned quickly that if my mind wanted something but I had an underlying belief that wasn’t congruent, I had mixed results. When my mind, emotions and belief were on the same page I got a different result. www.MosaicMagazine.ca
Here is a small, but for me at the time, important example of this. Back in the days of my early metaphysical studies I was taking a course that in part taught “thought creates reality” and the laws of attraction. I was working at a bank at the time and every week we put a dollar into a hat and drew a name. Whosever name was pulled got the money. I had been working at the bank for several years and had never won. I decided to try this technique I had been taught regarding how to attract things to you. Sure enough that week I won, thinking it was a coincidence; the next week I tried it again and I won. Still not convinced, I tested it a third week and again I won. At that point three things happened - one, I scared myself; two, I decided I had an unfair advantage (even though I had shared the technique with some co-workers) and three, I decided the desire to test metaphysics through winning money was frivolous. The emotional charge from such a tiny test threw me for a loop. I lost all objectivity. At the time I didn’t know I was simply learning to test and apply metaphysical principles. That and many other tests regarding different principles took me on a journey that had me exploring the human mind, emotions, beliefs, cause and effect, interconnection, the principles of attraction and what the universe was and wasn’t. Like my little experiment all those years ago I think we are being given an opportunity to take our fascination with mystical and metaphysical principles one step further. If current affairs, politics and global economy are an indicator, in some ways it appears we have taken a step backwards in our understanding of the nature of reality, interconnection and a creative universe. However, appearances can be deceiving. Maybe we are just getting a reflection back about underlying values and beliefs that are incongruent with our desire to act on universal principles. Something to ponder and play with! An Astrologer since 1986, Catherine is also a Hypnotherapist and Meditation Instructor. Paintings that heal the soul by Lisa Kubik As with many artists, my inspiration comes from life itself. I choose to capture the LOVE in all things through my “heART.”
Morning Star © Lisa Kubik
When visualizing a commissioned piece or any creation, I first feel the essence and energy of the people or subject I’m painting. I then paint the canvas in my mind moving around colors and shapes until I know my starting point. Once I begin, loving energies of those who wish to connect from other worlds or dimensions are brought through my paint brush, onto my canvas, bringing in messages of deep LOVE and comfort. The spirits who wish to speak through me come forth within the canvas in the nuances of light, dark, texture and space.
Sacred Golden Orbs © Lisa Kubik
I create colorful, spirited paintings using my intuition to convey messages of love, hope and inspiration. My intention is that these paintings can be used as a tool for healing the soul, as it is from my soul that I visualize, perceive energies and then create art from that space.
My paintings create an ethereal vortex which draws in those viewers it is intended for and in turn, heal their hearts. There is always a divine message in what I create. These messages come to life of their own volition in my sacred space with benevolent beings, multi-dimensional planes and portals that weave in amongst the earthly planes. The colors I choose, hypnotize you with a cosmic vibrancy. Hearts open and mystical things occur as my paintings are the conduits which help shift the viewer’s perspective and initiates a remembering of their divine calling. One word… LOVE.

Con Amore
(Italian) With heart and soul
Confessions are for the soul I think I was five-years-old. It was my first confession. I went into a room in our old, simple country church and the priest asked me what my sins were. My sins? I wasn’t sure what he was talking about. So I told him, truthfully… I didn’t have any. We sparred back and forth a few times about it and then he got mad me. “NO sins,” he said? “Surely you have done something wrong.” I got scared because he was getting increasingly angry, so I lied… I told him that I took a cookie from our cookie jar at home and he sighed, relieved that we were finally getting on with the process. Yes, that’s really what happened during my first confession. I knew the priest didn’t know that I had just lied to him… I mean, our home didn’t even have a cookie jar! It was my first introduction to confession and I’m not going to lie, I thought confession was ridiculous. Why did I need a priest to hear my sins? But later on I realized that the Catholic religion has some traditions that are helpful, even if I didn’t understand or appreciate them at the time. We all sin, whatever that looks like for all of us. When I was young, it was about sneaking a candy but as I got older a sin was a burden of a much greater weight on my heart – it was something that I actually felt I had done wrong. But the thing with the big sins is that you don’t broadcast them, do you? No, they really are often jaded little secrets that we keep close to our hearts because we actually don’t believe that anyone could ever love us once they learned them. But here’s the big thing that I’ve learned about “sins” or things we feel we’ve done wrong. If we do not confess them to someone (ideally, to someone we do trust), we often can’t move ahead in life because, interestingly enough, we are unable to forgive ourselves. There is something that mysteriously occurs (something healing from God or the Universe) when we confess our deepest weaknesses/sins to someone else that we really trust (and who are worthy of that trust). There is something in that humble admission that allows energy and life to move forward for everyone involved – because ultimately, we are all just here learning and growing, and making mistakes is part of that process.

Mosaic Magazine — Summer 2017
I remember something I did in my teens (in ignorance, not planned) that afterwards, I was very ashamed about and it wasn’t until my late 20’s, when I finally told a trusted girlfriend about it, that its memory’s power to shame me finally stopped. She confided that something similar had happened to her and she felt it was a life lesson that many of us go through. There have been other times in my life when I have only found inner peace after I realized that I had to confess that I was sorry for what I had done wrong to the other person involved. Saying I was sorry was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, considering how hurt I was myself about the situation that happened, but it was the only thing that gave me peace. Sometimes many people can be wrong in a situation, but it only takes one person to say they are sorry to transform the whole relationship. Just a Sip of Wine © Kathy Meaney

I was in a group a while ago (lead by the wonderful Carmen Jubinville) when we were discussing our pasts and I instantly began to drown in my own guilt/turmoil, remembering mistakes from my past. So I asked Carmen how I could make peace with myself over my mistakes.
Of course, that’s a big question but she answered me with something so beautiful, so simple and I’ve never forgotten it. Carmen told me to remember/accept that there was a part of me that was “broken” at the time of my mistakes. My behavior had not come from my “wholeness” but from my “brokenness.” That made me instantly weepy because it was so true. The things I’ve done wrong, that I’m not proud of, I’ve certainly done them ALL from a place of great brokenness. And that knowledge has helped me to both forgive myself and also the others involved. When I was at the University of Victoria, we had to read The Stone Angel by Canadian author, Margaret Laurence. In it, the heroine is not able to die (or find peace) until she has confessed her life’s failures to a stranger she meets one night. That book has always stayed with me because we are all stone angels, all just trying to learn our lessons in a life that is not always easy or kind. And sometimes those lessons leave us cold and broken, like stone, unable to process our life’s events. I think it is our ability to share the things that have happened to us with someone who is trustworthy that alchemically transforms those difficult experiences from stone to gold – because ultimately we are all just here learning. All of our lives are a process of learning and alchemy… www.MosaicMagazine.ca
