Para la inauguración de nuestro 4o BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market, el cineasta israelí Guy Nattiv presentará el masterclass: “El arte que enfrenta y desafía el racismo”. Este evento de apertura es también la oportunidad para lanzar SHORTS X CHANGE, un nuevo componente de nuestra agencia de cortometrajes BOGOSHORTS Film Agency, una iniciativa que busca, con proyecciones temáticas y estrategias educativas e informativas, visibilizar problemáticas sociales globales. Creemos en el formato corto y su capacidad de generar cambios.

En el masterclass se abordará el formato corto y su potencial de transformación social. En un mundo tan incierto, los cineastas tienen la responsabilidad de generar conversación; de reconocer el cine como una herramienta de educación. Cineasta israelí ganador del Premio Óscar a Mejor Cortometraje de Acción Real en 2018, por su primer cortometraje estadounidense, ‘Skin’, que también fue presentado en más de 200 festivales alrededor del mundo y fue adquirido por FOX Searchlight. La versión largometraje de ‘Skin’, que lleva el mismo título, está protagonizada por Jamie Bell, Vera Farmiga y Danielle Macdonald, y se estrenó en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto en 2018, llevándose el Premio FIPRESCI de la Crítica. Tuvo su estreno europeo en la Berlinale y se presentó en el Festival de Cine de Tribeca. Fue distribuido globalmente por A24 y Voltage en julio de 2019.

Antes de llegar a Estados Unidos, Nattiv ya era un laureado director en Israel. Su primer largometraje, ‘Strangers’, compitió en los festivales de cine de Sundance y Tribeca en 2008. Su segundo largometraje, ‘The Flood’, obtuvo una Mención especial en la sección Generation Kplus de la Berlinale en 2011, y fue nominado a seis premios Ophir, donde ganó a Mejor Actor. ‘Magic Men’, su tercer largometraje, se estrenó en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Palm Springs en 2014 y también ganó el premio Ophir a Mejor Actor.
