Boys of Zummer
Summer Tour of Fall out Boy and Wiz Khalifa Summer of 2015, the perfect time to go swimming, camping, hanging out with friends, or you could have gone to the Boys of Zummer Tour. August 5, 2015 Boys of Zummer made their stop at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Wheatland, California. The Boys of Zummer is a tour with the headers being Wiz 3
Khalifa and Fall out Boy that played throughout North America. Fall out Boy still continue touring through Europe in the fall as the American Beauty/ American Psycho tour without Wiz Khalifa and Hoodie Allen. The Boys of Zummer was not just Wiz Khalifa and Fall out Boy. Hoodie Allen a
rapper, tweeted about wanting to tour with Fall out Boy. Pete Wentz, the bassist from Fall out Boy tweeted back. and then Hoodie Allen became the opening act of Boys of Zummer. Through June, MAX toured with them as an opening act, too, but did not continue through July and August.

During the Concert At the concert Hoodie Allen was the Qirst performer. He started the concert off with a bang. He was always on the move rapping one of his songs. Hoodie Allen was such a joy to see on stage, a great opening act. He really got the crowd ready for Wiz Khalifa who was on next. Now it was Wiz Khalifa’s turn on stage. He talked with the audience, made jokes, and rapped his songs. During one of his songs he had two huge blown up beach balls that the people in the pit were able to bounce around. Another one of his songs, Pete Wentz played the bass for him, and it was a blast. For his encore he rapped his song “See you Again” that was for the late Paul Walker from the movie ‘The Fast and the Furious’. He had the audience sing the chorus. It was great on how much he and Hoodie Allen had us involved. Now it was time for Fall out Boy. They started off with their hit song from 2005, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down”. Everybody sang along. They had videos and
pictures projected behind them. They continued singing their hits songs from previous albums. For two of their songs they did an acoustic version out in the lawn so the people way back got to see them clearly. After they went to the lawn the drummer, Andy Hurley, had a huge drum solo that was great. During another one of their songs, Fall out Boy had huge white light up beach balls that every body passed around among them. After that they were almost done with the concert. They ended the concert with a bang, just like how Hoodie Allen starts it. I had a great time at the concert. It was amazing and each performer was awesome. The Boys of Zummer was a great addition to my summer.

Bullying
Bullying is a serious situation and it is not a joke to make someone feel bad about themselves. We should all just love who we are . by: Rylie Udall The problem with society is that we hate ourselves because of the opinions of others. We shouldn't let what others think of us define who we are, and we definitely should never let it affect our everyday lives.
There are several types of bullies: bullies at school, bullies on social media or through text but there is also we who bully ourselves. No matter what type of bullying it is it still makes you upset and not like what you see looking back at you in the mirror or even not like who you are becoming because you are always feeling so down. It is not okay to put others down or to even put ourselves down because at the end of the day we are all perfect in our own little way. People bully others because they either are not happy with who they are or maybe they just have anger and take it out on others. Whatever the reason maybe it is not okay and it should not be happening to anyone. “Think of all the beauty still left all around you and be happy” - Anne Frank 4
When someone is getting bullied they often try to change who they are or change their appearance, but that is not the right thing to do. Instead we should just be ourselves rather than trying to be someone we are not. We don’t always need to be what some might call a “people pleaser”. It is fine to make others happy, but do not lose yourself trying to please everyone else. Obviously bullying ourselves is the worst type of bullying ever because we cannot just leave our mind. People who bully themselves might cut or starve themselves because they do not think they are skinny enough.This also leads to depression and depression is the worst, because no matter what is said or whatever is done, you still feel sad.
As I have said before we do not always need to make everyone else happy and forget that we need to be happy too. Our happiness is just as important as the next person’s and everyone should remember that. The first thing that needs to happen is to stop worrying about everyone liking you, because you are not going to be everyone’s favorite cup of tea. Happiness is the most important thing. Seeking professional help is one way you can get help to begin your road to happiness.

People who bully may do it because they are not happy, and they feel better to put others down, or they are jealous of you. Whatever the reason may be, it is not okay, and you should never just stand there and let someone get bullied. We never know what someone is going through, and everyone can always use a friend even if they already have some. You can always make someone’s day if you just smile at them or give a compliment. There is no need for hate when being nice is so much easier. There is also the bully who never goes away. They are on social media or they have your number, texting you hate texts. In the movie Cyberbully, the lead actress always wanted to know what 13
people were saying about her, and she wondered why the girls did not like her. She always went onto social media to see what was being said about her, but she did it so much she could not take it. You do not have to be that way; just delete them and block them. Who cares what they think. You can become a better you and show them that their opinion does not phase you. Often when someone is getting bullied, they shut everyone out, and they do not try to reach out for help or comfort. They also try to hurt themselves or something because they think they need to change. It is not true, everyone is perfect in their own unique ways, and society needs to realize that not everyone has to
be society’s ideal of perfect. People who think suicide is going to end the chances of things getting worse are wrong. They just end the chances of it getting any better, and when you end your life you hurt all of those people who care about you. Your life is way too precious to just take that away. Bullying is never okay, and if you think it is funny to make someone question their existence, then you really need some help. We are all going through something no matter how big or little the situation, we do not need anyone to add on to it. If anything we just need a friend to be there and tell us it will be okay. So instead of being the bully, become a friend to someone in need.

2016 ELECTION Who will be our next President? With the 2016 U.S. presidential election only a little over a year away, there are many different candidates from various parties. These candidates are being closely examined by the press and the people who want a president who will support their economy, safety, and liberty. occurs after the primary election, in which the political parties nominate one candidate for their party due to the Americans’ votes. Currently, the Republican Party’s top three candidates are Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, and Dr. Ben Carson. The top three Democratic candidates are Hillary Clinton, With twelve different parties, there were originally over ninety candidates running, although some have recently dropped out. Although there are twelve parties, two are more important in the majority of America’s eyes: Republican vs. Democrat. Almost every year in the history of this nation, the election has climaxed with the Republican nominee and the Democratic nominee going head to head. This

Donald Trump has maintained being the top Republican candidate which baffles some people and excites others. With his blunt way of communication he shocks the press and the people, but some find it refreshing. Tired of political correctness and fear of offending, some Republicans enjoy hearing what they believe is truth without any watering-down. However, Trump’s values always seem to change. Throughout his career as chairman of the Trump Organization, his party affiliation has changed many times, switching from a Democrat to a Republican and back. His largest passion being illegal immigration, he declares that as president, he would send all of the illegal immigrants back to their countries and build a wall between the United States and Mexico to keep them from crossing the border freely. Although many people agree that we have too many illegal immigrants, some think that this solution is too harsh. On other issues, Trump has less of a voice. He originally supported abortion, but now calls himself pro-life. Obamacare upsets him, but he still agrees with universal healthcare. With other important issues, such as gun control and gay marriage, his affiliation has also changed. Donald Trump may support some Republican ideas, but his indecisiveness, rudeness, and extreme behavior should make Americans think critically about him being their next President.
Trump’s runner-up is Carly Fiorina, only recently enjoying the spotlight. Being the former CEO
of Hewlett-Packard and a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 2010, she does not have as much experience as other candidates. Speaking indistinctly about issues such as government spending and the trillions of dollars of national debt, Carly has been an unpopular candidate. Conservatives disapprove of her conflicting support and actions for Obamacare, the debt limit, immigration, abortion, and gay marriage. Carly’s recent popularity is the result of her attacks on Hillary Clinton and her liberalism. Even though Fiorina has become well-received, she needs to evaluate her policies and establish her voice on recent issues.

Bernie is a well-known socialist who was the Vermont representative in the House of Representatives from 1991 to 2007, and was given a seat in the Senate after that. Just like Hillary, he supports liberal ideas. He is
pro-abortion, wants to raise minimum wage to fifteen dollars per hour, and have equal pay for equal work for women. Bernie wants to legalize medical marijuana, make college more affordable for every person, and charge companies for carbon emissions while funding renewable energy sources. Instead of worrying about international conflicts, he thinks the U.S. should focus on domestic issues. Bernie Sanders has become very prominent in the election, being an advocate for the American people. Voters who prefer Socialist policies might favor him.

Many people feel that their vote does not count, and are overwhelmed with all of the candidates and whom they should vote for. There are many other candidates than the ones mentioned above, and the American people should look into each person, and vote for who they think will be the best leader for this country. With all of the global and national issues that plague this society, a powerful President is needed. If everyone who is of age votes in the next election for the candidate they think is best, the U.S. has a better chance of electing an excellent President.

A few music festivals that have happened so far are The Counter Point Festival in Kingston Downs, Georgia, and the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Coachella, where Madonna gave Drake a kiss.
There are still ton of festivals yet to come that will bring joy to thousands of people who go to listen to their music and have a good time. When starting a YouTube channel, you have to think about what factors into it: camera, lighting, a video editing system, and many other things depending on your genre. That is the real question, what are you passionate about? Do you have something to say? Are you amazing at all things beauty? Perhaps you are an expert gamer. That is all there is to it; be exactly what you want to be. That is what the Internet is for, right?
Step 1. Pick your genre. Step 2. Watch some videos in that genre(research). Step 3. Research/budget for equipment. Step 4. Start your channel, give yourself a theme or format. Step 5. Make your first video, explaining your goal or what you want to achieve on this channel. Step 6. Be passionate and be yourself; your viewers will appreciate it.

Can you handle it? Again, YouTube has sections, or genres you could say: gamers, informational videos, funny clips, people who vlog {Video Blog} their everyday lives, and one of the most popular….. beauty vloggers, or beauty gurus. Personally I think you have to have a pretty comfy banking account to start off. Some YouTubers can tell you they started off with a camcorder, no lighting, and a free video editing system. Some of the people who started off that way have become a huge part of entertaining the world today. I mean you have to start somewhere, right?

Making Money Most of todays YouTubers never imagined that someday this would become their career. That being said, YouTube can make you enough money to support a certain lifestyle. Let us a take look at the steps. Step 1. After you have started your channel, there are a few things to keep in mind. Keep your material short and high quality. Step 2. Once you have content, go to your advanced section in channel settings and add key words. Make sure they relate to your content. Step 3. Keep an uploading schedule to make sure your audience will stay interested. Step 4. Monetizing your videos. Go to video manager, click on videos then click the monetize with ads. This will add ads before your videos. Step 5. (You will need to be 18 or will need parent’s help for this step.) Go to the Adsense website and make a Google Adsense account. You will need a Paypal account or banking account, and a valid mailing address. All of this information will help YouTube validate who you are. Once they have this information and you start accumulating money, they can start sending it to you. (You will gain money per ad click and per view, slowly adding up over time.) Step 6. Make sure to advertise your videos elsewhere: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, other social media sites. Step 7. Eventually you will gain enough traffic on your channel to become a parter with YouTube that will eventually turn into verification and more money.
In closing, make sure that you have an enjoyable experience. The internet is a powerful tool; use your voice for good.

Digital Art Vs. Traditional By: Angelia Lewis There are many different types of art, though there are two that stand out as the main types, digital and traditional. Art can mean many different types of things such as sculpting, drawing, sketching, painting, etc. You can do nearly all you do with pencil and paper, paintbrush and canvas, clay, or more all on the computer. Using different programs and tools, you can draw right on the computer. Though there are a few downsides to that, just as there are with traditional drawing. To start out, what IS digital art? Digital art consists of any form of art you can do on the computer. The most commonly seen feature of digital art is 3D modeling and animation. You might not have heard of this, or may not be very aware of the topic. Do you play video games? Watch movies? In many of those video games and movies, 3D art is present. 3D art is most commonly seen in action type movies, though sometimes in other genres. Any video game that uses 3D features uses this type of art. Another type of digital art is 2D, drawing and painting. How can you do that on a computer? Well, using downloadable programs on your computer (some free, some you have to pay for but can use trial versions), you can access the canvas and be able to draw. One program you may be familiar with is MS Paint. This program is found on any Windows computer, called paint. While it is limited, some artists have been able to make some amazing drawings using the program.

Despite the different methods for drawings or painting there are many differences between the two. Some people have preference for which they like better but it is mostly just opinion. There is no BETTER type of art, only preference. Though each art type has its pros and its cons, they are both different in their own ways.

Despite both having pros and cons, both are very useful for different uses. Some things you can do using traditional art, you cannot do with digital. For example, if you wanted to work with clay but you do not have any clay, you would not be able to work with clay hands on on your computer.
Preference is everything. Everyone has a preference as to which art type they like better, may it be for looks or that an artist prefers to use. There could be many different reasons why someone may prefer one art type over the other. Digital art may be preferred because it can be changed easily at a later time and the Qinished product can come out looking cleaner at times. The artist can use all sorts of techniques for shading like you might using traditional art and making the painting/drawing look nice. There are layers, so that they can do something else and not mess with the work they have already done on one layer. Traditional art may be preferred because it is a little more “hands-on” than digital art may be. The artist has a physical canvas instead of a digital one, making it easier for some to see what they are doing and what they are working on. At times it can come out looking more realistic than digital art can. There is no better art type, it is all the preference of the artist or the person viewing the art. They both have their differences, but in the end both can turn out very nice and can look good.

Who knew that when Sony launched the Playstation brand in Japan in 1994, it would change the video game industry forever? Now days the Playstation is still one of the most known video game consoles in the world.

In 2000, a re-designed slim version called the PSone replaced the original grey console. There are two types of controllers, the original and dual shock. The dual shock controller featured a vibration feedback function which was based on the screen action in the game. The name comes from the use of dual vibration motors, which allow varying levels of vibration. This controller supported games like Crash Bandicoot: Warped, and Tekken 3.
The PlayStation 2 was announced in 1999 and is a home video game. It is Sony’s second installment of the Playstation series. The PlayStation 2 went to become the best selling console in history, with more than 1.5 billion consoles sold. In 2006 introduced the successor, the Playstation 3. Although the release was a bigger deal, the PS2 was popular even in the 7th Generation of Sony consoles. In Tokyo Sony showed fully playable demos of PlayStation 2 games like Gran Turismo 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament which showed the console's graphic abilities and power. ! Another feature of the PS2 was that it could play CD’s and DVD’s. There is also a DVD remote controller.

On November 17, 2006, Sony made an even better way of playing games, by releasing the PS3. Some features of the PS3 are playing DVD’s and blu ray discs. You could download apps on the PS3 like Youtube, Netflix, and Hulu plus. If you have an HD-TV you could connect an HDMI cable for an even higher resolution display. You may wonder who are those supermodels I see everywhere? What are the top looks right now? I’m here to present to you what is ‘in fashion’.

Top Models Famous models are everywhere today. Even if you may not realize it you see models nearly everywhere: for example on billboards, magazines, television, and all over the internet. Being a model is not easy though. Models have to endure everything from modeling uncomfortable outfits, using restricting diets, and modeling in harsh conditions. Many models are described as “coat-hangers” for the clothes to just drape on. Models either have agents that book them jobs or they have to attend ‘go-sees’, which is where you go to a designer or store and model for them, give them your resume, and sell yourself to the designer proving why you should be booked. Models must have a certain feature that makes them stand out from everyone else. It seems that some of the models on the rise right now are Cara Delevigne, Karlie Kloss, and Gigi Hadid. With what all these models go through on a daily basis I think they deserve some serious props. Designers and Brands Have you seen any of the brands above? Some of them you may have heard of. These are some of the top brands in fashion. You may know the brands but do you know the designers behind them? A lot of times the maker of the designer label has their name in the brand like Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Miuccia Prada. Most of these high fashion brands make it on the runway every year whether it be in New York Fashion Week, Paris, or Milan. Many celebrities wear these labels and browsing through a magazine, you may see many of these brands on celebrities 24
or in ads. Many of these brands brought something new to fashion and all have something unique about them. Color plays a big part on having a certain characteristic on a brand. You may recognize the famous vibrant red on the bottom of a pair of Louboutin shoes or the blue box from Tiffany & Co. Maybe the logo will catch your eyes like the backwards and intertwining ‘C’ on Chanel or the crisscrossing ‘LV’ on a Louis Vouitton bag. Whatever it is that draws your eye, that is something iconic that is probably only on that particular brand.

There are many famous designers that stars wear on the red carpet all the time. Some of the top designers in the industry are Oscar De La Renta, Valentino, Prada, Dior, Chanel, and Armani. According to www.smallbusiness.com author Maxwell Wallace from Demand Media states that in the United States there are around 100,000 retail clothing stores which reap a total of about $150 billion of revenue yearly. Most designers demand about 65% of revenue which is around $97 billion. There are new styles coming out constantly. It is hard to keep up, but these are some of the top red carpet looks. Whoever or whatever your inspiration may be, there are many designers who you may like and be interested in learning about, purchasing, and wearing. The Amazing Genre of Fantasy By Elijah Pila
Reading is a great way to escape the exhausting and frustrating problems of everyday life. Of all of the genres of literature, fantasy catches my eye the most. Fantasy, in my personal opinion, is an amazing and beautiful genre. It is one of the most interesting and creative genres out there, because in nonfiction books the events happened and the authors are just researching the events or stating them from their point of view, writing them down, and adding some detail so the reader can picture the event more clearly in their minds. But fantasy authors use their imagination and are using creativity because they have to create the whole story with nothing else then creativity. There are many different categories or “sub-genres� in fantasy including: Dark Fantasy, Science Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, and Contemporary Fantasy. The sub-genres can go on and on, but my favorites are Contemporary Fantasy because of its mix of paranormal events and real life places which make it more interesting, and Dark Fantasy which is fantasy with elements of horror, which might be a book about a monster that hides in a child's closet or a scary vampire.
Here are some good fantasy books that I would like to recommend to you: 1. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini 2. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare 3. The Giver by Louis Lowry 4. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll Here are some tips if you would like to write fantasy in your spare time: 1. Do not limit your imagination. 2. It is OK to borrow from history 3. Grief is powerful in a story, but do not overdo it. 4. Be very descriptive. 5. Find out what kind of style of fantasy you like. 6. Make the characters believable. 7. Write in a comforting and non-disturbing area.
