The delights of Erdiko

In Basque, erdiko means “centre”. Near reception, this welcoming bar, open from 8 am to 11 pm, will no doubt become the centre of your stay. In the morning, come for a tea and taste some of the delicious house pastries. Comfortably settled on one of the sofas, with the day’s paper; what better way to start the day. At midday, on the shady terrace, an appetising and local menu will satisfy your appetite. In the evening, a Basque atmosphere is guaranteed with succulent tapas. And what’s more, Erkido likes golf, rugby, football… and broadcasts most matches and sports events.

A “bistronomic” cruise

At the hotel restaurant, L’Atlantique, each dish is an

adventure. Renowned as the most stunning view of all the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, or so the locals say. On the first floor of the hotel Hélianthal, the restaurant L’Atlantique and its terrace dominate the ocean. Comfortably settled facing the vast expanse of blue, you will have the impression of riding the waves on the deck of a cruise ship. Inspired as much by the panorama as by the interior decoration. With the mirrors playing reference to portholes and the staggeringly high ceiling, the dining room, with its majestic decor, can accommodate up to 100 guests. Just for the record, the four chandeliers of pendant glass and the large marine canvasses which decorate the room were part of the original restaurant, before the renovations. Attention to detail is visible everywhere, from the elegance of the decoration to the contents of each plate. In the kitchen, the chef masters his art with passion. Working with his brigade of a dozen staff, he magnifies flavours while respecting a perfect balance between stimulating the senses and healthy eating, with a generous and exacting cuisine. A true journey for the tastebuds, which remains faithful to its Basque origins, giving pride of place to the best local products. And Lord knows, they are numerous!

And for a heavenly cocktail (with or without alcohol) or drink in a relaxing atmosphere, adjacent to the restaurant is the L’Atlantique Lounge Bar, the ideal place with its panoramic terrace. At sunset, you’ll experience a truly immortal moment. Magical. 
