Georgian Style(1788-1820) This type of architecture was used when Brittan would send there convicts to Australia, the buildings were poorly constructed local amature builders constructed these buildings with sutable materials found around them Victorian(1850) This type of architecture was designed around the ideas of respectibilty, formality, and materialism. This style came when people of the middle class wanted new houses suited for their new wealth. People who built these buildings were more concerned with the style than the function of the building in relation to the area it was in. Modern Architects were influenced by European Internationalism and applied it to the topography and climate of Sydney. With their new modern style Sydney lifted height restrictions and began their change to becoming a high-rise city. 2
