WELCOME TO ALL OF OUR FAMILIES AND VISITORS! The Amazing Parish Prayer Heavenly Father, We thank you for gathering us together and calling us to serve as your disciples. You have charged us through Your Son, Jesus, with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world. Send Your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern Your will for the spiritual renewal of our parish. Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve You. We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession and guidance as we strive to bear witness to the Gospel and build an Amazing Parish. Amen
SACRAMENT PREPARATION
S !" #$%& () B *&+,# Parents reques!ng to have a child bap!zed are invited to call the Parish Office at 715-384-9414. Father Berns will assist with bap!sm prepara!on and scheduling a date.
S !" #$%& () R$!(%!+-+ &+(% Celebrated on Saturdays from 4:45—5:15 p.m. and by appointment. Communal Penance Services are held during Advent and Lent.
S !" #$%&, () F+",& E/!0 "+,& %2 C(%)+"# &+(% Ongoing catechesis is essen!al in the faith forma!on of the youth of Our Lady of Peace Parish (OLP). Children must be enrolled con3nually from the First Grade in either Columbus Catholic Schools or OLP’s Religious Educa!on Programs to receive either the Sacraments of First Eucharist or Confirma!on.
FROM THE PASTOR At a W Wednesday evening Mass during Lent, I shared this moving story that I had recently sh heard. A friend of mine made frequent he business trips to Singap Singapore from the United States, and his company assigned him a regular car with a hired driver. This driver would bring my friend to the cathedral where they have Perpetual Adora!on, and my friend would pray a while and a$end Mass while the driver waited in the car outside. Finally the driver, who was not of any Chris!an faith, asked if he might accompany my friend inside the church one day. They went inside while adora!on was going on, and he was perplexed on seeing the monstrance displaying a host on the altar. He became apparently lost in prayer, un!l a%er a while my friend insisted they leave for the airport. When they le% the church, the driver walked out from the pew to the front door backward and with a deep bow without turning his back to the Eucharist on the altar. Back in the car, the driver asked my friend to explain what Catholics believe about the Eucharist. When he heard about the Real Presence of Jesus in the sacrament, he asked , "Then why would you ever want to leave that presence? You believe that God is a Father who loves you, and you believe in a Savior who died for you. Your Chris!an faith is a very beau!ful thing." As we see these boys and girls today receive their First Holy Communion, let them remind us how beau!ful our faith is. Yours, Father Berns
S !" #$%& () M ""+ 6$ Knowing how important it is to marry in the Church, we are happy to see weddings take place in our parish. Father Berns looks forward to mee!ng with engaged couples to assist them in marriage prepara!on. As this prepara!on takes !me, couples are asked to contact Fr. Berns 8—12 months before the wedding.
S !" #$%& () A%(+%&+%6 () &0$ S+!9 If any parishioner is ill at home or going into the hospital and would like to receive the Anoin!ng of the Sick, please contact Father Berns at the Parish Office at 715-384-9414.

PARISH NEWS PRAYING THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET Begin with the Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Apostles Creed. Using regular rosary beads, work your way around the five decades with the prayers below. On the standalone beads, pray: "Eternal Father, I offer you the body, blood, soul, and divinity of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world." On the decade beads, pray: "For the sake of his sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world." At the end, pray the following three times: "Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world." It is typical to conclude the Divine Mercy Chaplet with the words: "Jesus, I trust in you."
