When my oldest was 4 I gave him a red velvet cake pop and he started bouncing off the walls. I asked him why he was being so giddy and he said he didn't feel good. As I hugged him to try and calm him I felt his heart rate and it was racing! That started my mission to discover what food dyes do to our bodies and I used the 5 ingredient rule on our food: if it had more than 5 ingredients it wasn't coming in our house. I tried to apply that rule to personal care products but let's face it - you need a science degree to understand those ingredients! In 2014 I discovered Young Living and I literally felt like I'd found "The Easy Button." All the products we needed for our home without any harmful toxins and I could get them delivered to me monthly?! This was a huge #momwin Since then we've ditched every harmful chemical out of our house and it feels great. As a Mom of 3 I don't have the time to research every label but I can put my trust behind Young Living knowing they do that for me. One of my favorite products it's Thieves so I wanted to share some of my favorite recipes with you!

Dilution Ratios.
I promised you the easy button for cleaning and here it is! I have replaced ALL my household cleaners with just one bottle: Thieves Household Cleaner. To make cleaning a breeze here are the dilution ratios.
Most cleaning applications: 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner to 2 cups of water. Heavy degreasing: 1-2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner to 1 cup of water. Light degreasing: 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner to 4 cups of water. Glass: 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner, 3 cups of water, 1 TSP vinegar, and 15 drops citrus essential oil.
Cos t. I've replaced all of our cleaners with just one. I call it The Easy Button. Each 8oz bottle costs me about $1.50 to make!
Foaming
Hand Soap.
Ingredients 3 TBS Pure-Castile Soap, Unscented. 10 drops Thieves Oil 1 TSP glycerin Instructions Add the ingredients to a foaming hand soap dispenser. Gently fill with water and shake.
Pro Tip. Replace the Thieves oil with some of our favorite other scents: Rosemary + Lemon Christmas Spirit Stress Away + Lime Citrus Fresh
Grout Cleaner. Mix 2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner with baking soda until pasty. Let soak then wipe away.
Freshen Laundry. Add one capful Thieves Cleaner to your laundry cycle.
Double Your Laundry Soap. Bottle of Thieves Laundry Soap 32 oz. Container 3 Capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner 20 Drops of Thieves or Lemon essential oil Pour out 16 oz. of Thieves Laundry Soap into your 32 oz. container. Add 3 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner to the original bottle of laundry soap and your new container. Add 20-ish drops of Thieves essential oil to both containers. Add 16 oz. of water to both containers. Shake up both containers and use as labeled.
Treatme nt
Spot
Use as a spot treatment spray on stained clothes. Use 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner to 4-6 cups of water in a spray bottle for spot treatment.
Wood Furniture. Mix 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner with 3/4 c. olive oil and 3 drops Lemon essential oil. Wipe down wood furniture, cabinets, tabletops.
Bleach. 3 cups of water 1/2 hydrogen peroxide 2 capfuls Thieves Household Cleaner 5 drops Lemongrass 2 TBS Lemon Juice. Mix together and shake.
Double Your Dish Soap. Thieves Dish Soap 1 TSP Baking Soda 1 capful Thieevs household cleaner Remove and store 2/3 of a bottle of Thieves Dish Soap in a clean container. Keep 1/3 of the Thieves Dish Soap in the original container and top off with water. Add 1 TSP of Baking Soda, close the container and shake. Pro Tip: Add in a couple of drops of oil like Lemon, Rosemary, Christmas Spirit, or Citrus Fresh based on the season.
Foaming
Hand Soap.
Ingredients 3 TBS Pure-Castile Soap, Unscented. 10 drops Thieves Oil 1 TSP glycerin Instructions Add the ingredients to a foaming hand soap dispenser. Gently fill with water and shake.

Window Cleaner. Mix 1/8 TSP Thieves Household Cleaner + 2 cups of water. Spray once and wipe with a dry cloth.

Heavy Degreaser. Mix 1 cup of water with 1 cup of Thieves household cleaner.
Cleaner.
Toy
Fill your sink with hot water. Add 1 TBS vinegar and 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner and clean.
Carpet
Shampoo.
Mix 1/4 cup of Thieves Household Cleaner with 2 cups of water. Spray on the area.
Mattress Cleaner. Mix 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner with 2 cups of water + 15 drops Purification + 6 drops Lavender + 6 drops Tea Tree. Spray and wipe off.

Grill Cleaner. 1/4 cup baking soda 2 TBS Thieves Dish Soap 5 drops Lemon oil
Trash Can Clean stains + deodorize! Empty trash can and fill with water. Pour 1-2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner directly into the can (1 capful for a small can, 2 for a large one). Let sit for several hours. If needed, scrub stubborn stains with a brush. Empty can and wipe dry. For an ongoing fresh scent, place a few drops of Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil on a cotton ball and put it in the bottom of the trash can before replacing the liner.
Cleaner.
Cleaner.
Stovetop In a spray bottle or bowl, combine the following: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner 1 drop Pine essential oil 1 cup water Apply with cloth to remove buildup; when grease is gone, wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Deep Cleaning Scrub. In a glass bowl, mix the following: ½ capful of Thieves Household Cleaner 2 tablespoons baking soda Form a thin paste. If the cleaner is too thick, add more Thieves Household Cleaner. If it is too runny, add more baking soda. Apply with a clean cloth or a sponge, scrub surface thoroughly, and rinse clean.

Car Interior Spray. In a spray bottle, mix the following: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner 2-3 cups water Spray dash, cupholders, console, interior handles, and more! Then wipe with a damp cloth.

Car Seats. Mix 2 drops of Thieves Household Cleaner with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle. Spray plastic and fabric lightly and wipe with a soft cloth. To clean the harness, mix a small amount of baby wash with 2 cups of water. Gently wipe with a soft cloth. (Avoid hard scrubbing or soaking.) Let everything dry completely before using.
Blinds Cleaner. Mix the following in a bowl: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner 1 cup water ½ cup white vinegar Use an old sock as a cleaning mitt. Dip the “mitt” into the cleaning solution; go over each slat until they’re all clean.
Crayon
Remover.
Remove crayon murals from the walls. Apply a splash of Thieves Household Cleaner and 3 drops of Lemon essential oil to a damp rag. Wipe drawings off the walls. Repeat until the art is gone

Ceiling Fan Cleaner. In a spray bottle or bowl, mix the following: 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner 2 cups water Wipe dust off fan blades, and light fixtures, with a damp cloth. Dip the same cloth in the solution and thoroughly wipe down the blades to remove built-up dust. Dry with a clean cloth. Try this on your air vents, bathroom vents, and anywhere dust gathers!
Hack.
Vent
When you change the filters in your vent, add 2 drops of Thieves essential oil to them before replacing.
A recent nationwide survey found that over half of all Americans test positive for at least some allergens, and many of these are indoor allergies such as dust, mold, and pet dander. Protect your family with Thieves oil.
Diffuser Hack. Instead of just masking smells, diffused oils alter the structure of molecules that create odors! That means that unlike room sprays and plugins you can get rid of bad smells without harsh chemicals. Oils like Thieves, Purification, Tea Tree, and Lemon are very effective for eliminating and destroying airborne germs and bacteria.
Couch Cleaner. Combine 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner with 12 cups baking soda. Mix well. Let sit for 24 hours to thoroughly combine. Add 5 drops of Lavender essential oil for an extra boost of freshness. Sprinkle lightly over furniture and wait 1 hour. Use a stiff brush and back-and-forth motions to work the cleaner into the fabric; then vacuum up the excess.

Use this technique on car upholstery, mattresses, carpets, and rugs
Shower Door Cleaner. In a spray bottle, mix the following: ½ capful Thieves Household Cleaner ½ cup vinegar 1 tablespoon Thieves Dish Soap 1 cup water 1 drop each Lemon and Grapefruit essential oils Spray liberally onto the surface and scrub with a sponge to remove spots. Rinse well and dry!
Shower Head/Faucet Remove funky build up easily! In a plastic bag, mix the following: 1 teaspoon Thieves Household Cleaner ¾ cup white vinegar Attach the full bag to faucets and fixtures with rubber bands. Leave for several hours. Scrub with a coarse brush if needed to remove hard water stains. Rinse well.
Cleaner.
Sho Prevent wer Scum In a spray bottle, mix the following: ½ capful Thieves Household Cleaner 10 drops Tea Tree essential oil 4 cups water Spray shower walls and door daily. Squeegee excess off.
Bathroom Soft Scrub. Polish your bathtubs, toilets, and sinks! In a bowl or spray bottle, mix the following: ½ cup baking soda 5 tablespoons liquid castile soap ½ capful Thieves Household Cleaner 3 drops Lemon essential oil To use: Apply the mixture with a damp cloth or brush and scrub away.
Stainless Steel Cleaner. In a spray bottle, mix the following: ½ capful Thieves Household Cleaner 2 tablespoons olive oil Buff the cleaner into the stainless steel with a damp, lint-free cloth. Wipe off excess with a clean, dry cloth.
