The San Beda Alumni Association of Southern California (SBAASC) is truly honored to host this year’s 3rd UAAP-NCAA Friendship Games. As this league continued to grow each year, we gained friends we never thought would be possible, given the fact on how we jeered each other back in the days in the NCAA and UAAP basketball games in the Philippines. Though we come from different schools with different cheers, different colors, and different mascots, we learned that we really aren’t that different from each other. We are all proud. We are proud of where we come from, proud of the school we represent, and proud of who we are as a league. We faced many challenges along the way but each representative from each school stepped up and initiated to give help without even being asked. I couldn’t be any prouder of this group. This league will continue to grow and the name of the league really says everything about it, that it’s more than a basketball game, it’s a “Friendship Game”.
