WELCOME TO THE Y! WE’RE HERE FOR YOU

DEAR MEMBERS & PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS,

Each new year presents an opportunity to appreciate the past and look hopefully towards the future. As we begin 2022, I want to thank you for sticking with us during some challenging times. Together, we helped our community during the pandemic and provided critical services to people in need, including 25,000 hours of emergency childcare, 250,000 meals, and 75,000 hours of full-day care for children in remote learning environments. We also found new ways to connect, learn and deliver our programs so members could reach health and wellness goals and stay connected to other members in the community. We continue to keep your safety and wellbeing as our top priority and look forward to helping you reach your health and fitness goals in 2022. If you have not already, we hope you will consider joining the Y as a member. During these cold winter months, you will enjoy the warmth of the wellness center, pool, and sauna at our Framingham branch and the adventure of snowshoeing, winter snow castle building, and indoor rock climbing at the Family Outdoor Center in Hopkinton. Together, we will continue to strengthen our community and support healthy living for all. Sincerely, Rick MacPherson President and CEO MetroWest YMCA

EARLY LEARNING CENTER YOUTH PROGRAM

Our Early Learning Center helps children meet their learning and developmental potential while providing the care needed for families to work. We provide high-quality early education and care to children 15 months until they start kindergarten. Our teachers create and implement a curriculum designed to make your child feel comfortable while learning, socializing, and having fun. One of their goals is to help your child feel independent and empowered to explore their environment and engage in gross motor and language activities. Children can learn through hands-on and sensory experiences, creative expression, and the acquisition of self-help skills. Our curriculum addresses each child’s individual developmental needs and interests and emphasizes the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. It also includes a focus on SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) to help the children learn to identify and manage their feelings and solve social problems. Beginning at three years of age, parents have the option of enrolling your children in YMCA classes such as swimming, sports, and gymnastics.
