ANNUAL CITY BUDGET

At the Council Meeting held on September 17, 2018, the City Council approved the FY19 Annual Budget. This year’s General Fund (maintenance and operations) budget is $5,804,150 and the total budget for all funds is $13,069,750.

At the Council Meeting held on October 8, 2018, the City Council approved the tax rate that funds a portion of the maintenance, operations, and debt service in the FY19 Budget. The adopted tax rate was maintained at the same tax rate as the previous four years: $0.742120/$100 valuation. This tax rate is lower than both the effective and rollback tax rates. On a home valued at $100,000, the average homeowner will pay around $697.96 in property taxes to the City of Nassau Bay. The FY19 Annual Budget funds a total of $3.05 million in capital projects. These projects include several improvements and rehabilitation projects to the water and wastewater system, stormwater drainage, street repair and improvements, park improvements, building improvements, and much more.
