NBHA REMINDER

The Nassau Bay Homes Association (NBHA) board would like to commend members on the improvements made to the neighborhood by the correction of deficient yard lights. The NBHA definition of a yard light states the light must be on a pole in the yard. The light should be equivalent to the lumens of a 60 watt light bulb with a white (3500K) color. NBHA would like to recommend that all members read and understand the deed restrictions as put forth in the document that pertains to your area of the Association. This document can be found on the NBHA website. The NBHA board is not considering another follow up survey for several months, but will be contacting deficient homeowners.

Fall Is In The Air + Opportunities Nothing like a fall wind to bring you outside. After humid, sweltering days of hibernating in the AC, it is wonderful just to be outside. Your flower beds, flower pots and even some bushes are looking a bit frightful – overgrown, all roots, or wilting. Where to begin? Start over, leave alone, or what? Your Garden Club is offering a hands-on opportunity for you to ask questions, as well as learn the how and why of fall gardening. On Saturday, November 10th, from 9:00am to 11:00am, Garden Club members will be on hand at Tranquility Arbor, located on the corner of Upper Bay Road and Martinique. This is not a formal workshop so stop by to ask questions, observe, or bring your trowel and clippers to learn hands-on techniques. After a bit of tweaking in the garden, fall is a wonderful time to just sit and relax! Garden Club Social & Program – November 13 at 9:30am Join the Garden Club on November 13, 2018 at 9:30am for a Social and 10:00am for the Garden Club Program. November's program will include creative designs for your home, now through the holidays. Members will learn ideas using items on hand, using greenery from your own gardens, and how to “pop” it with flair! Garden Club meeting to follow the program. All residents are invited to come have a cup of coffee, taste some homemade goodies with your neighbors, and enjoy learning new seasonal ideas. Happy Gardening! Arbor Day Ceremony – November 15 @ 9:30am The Nassau Bay Garden Club invites you to attend its Arbor Day Ceremony on November 15th at 10:00am in Howard Ward Park. Club members will meet at the gazebo to acknowledge the planting of two bottle brush plants in the park. Children from St. Thomas School will be a part of the celebration, helping to make it a very happy event.
