NBPD is excited to welcome Officer Claude Crider (left) and Officer Dusty Wortman (right) to the team!
Officer Crider grew up in the Clear Lake area, graduated from Clear Lake High School and has completed 2 years at San Jacinto Jr. College and is working toward his business management degree. Officer Wortman graduated from Clear Brook High School, attended San Jacinto College, and completed the Alvin Community College Police Academy in 2008. He holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certification with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Officer Wortman is a military veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Welcome, Officers!

COUNCIL MEETING RECAP OCTOBER 11, 2021 - REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
During the October 11 City Council meeting, Mayor Bob Warters recognized the 2021 National Night Out Block Captains (left), presented a check in the amount of $1,000 from the City's HOT Funds to Running Alliance Sport (center) and presented a Proclamation to the Nassau Bay Garden Club for Arbor Day (right). ∙ Introduced new Nassau Bay Police Department Officers Claude Crider & Dusty Wortman. ∙ Approved a conditional request from PAL Land Inc, LLC (Timothy Leppard) to consider a Specific Use Permit to construct a multi-family condominium development on the 2.16-acre tract next to the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake. ∙ Approved Resolution R2021-2234 nominating Mike Sullivan for a position on the Board of Directors of the Harris County Appraisal District. ∙ Approved the establishment of a Nassau Bay Tourism Committee. ∙ Approved Ordinance O2021-817, amending Nassau Bay's current Short Term Rental Ordinance O2020-806, providing for the assessment of a mandated $140.00 fee for each reinspection required to comply within the program (first of two readings).
NBPD PROMOTION: CORPORAL MICHAEL CAVAZOS During the October 11 City Council meeting, Nassau Bay Police Chief Tim Cromie officially announced the promotion of Officer Michael Cavazos to the rank of Corporal.
