Scientific Conference held from May 9 to May 13, 1995 in Belgrade, Žiča, Studenica, Mileševa, from which this book emerged, was organized on the initiative of those who take care of Studenica and Žica, ecclesiastical and secular authorities of Kraljevo, the Diocese of Žiča, Municipal Assembly and the National Museum in Kraljevo. They jointly addressed Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences and Institute of History and Institute for Balkan Studies, professional institutions who were believed to be able to achieve a scientific program by which the mentioned institutions would involve in marking the anniversary of the burning of the relics of Saint Sava. Along with that those who are taking care of Mileševa Monastery, church and secular authorities of Prijepolje and one national committee, gave also the initiative to hold a scientific conference within the anniversary celebration.
