REGISTRATION
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Camp capacity numbers may be limited so we recommend registering as soon as possible to ensure enrollment. Advanced registration is required and is complete once payment is received for each program.
Online registration is recommended and preferred. The online price includes all advertised discounts. A charge of $25 will be assessed on all returned checks.
FULL DAY CAMPS
Join us at one of our themed full day camps this summer. Check out the locations and themes on the following pages. Each week will be filled with games, crafts, and other fun activities. Campers will swim at least one time per week at a nearby City of Arlington pool. Optional lunch program is available at certain camps. An afternoon snack is provided at all locations. *Field trips are planned throughout the summer.
*Trips will be scheduled only if camp protocol allows us to safety transport campers to an off-site trip destination.

MINI CAMPS
A variety of mini camps may be offered at select centers. These unique camps highlight specific interests (i.e., basketball, cooking, engineering) and are scheduled either during the morning or afternoon. These are great for families who are not seeking child-care but just looking for some fun activities and skills to learn.
Campers enrolled in a Full Day Camp may enroll in a Mini Camp at the same week at the same location for a discounted price of 25% off the Mini Camp.

REFUND POLICY
A customer must withdraw from a program or camp three days prior to the start of the first class to be eligible for a refund or credit.
Fees for classes, programs, or camps which are canceled by the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department are fully refundable. We encourage our customers to utilize their funds to re-enroll in other programs. Staff will gladly assist with finding a similar program at another location. Participants removed from an Arlington Parks & Recreation facility, class, program, lesson or camp due to disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund.

Rent a pool for your next party! Select pools are available to rent Thursday through Sunday for private parties, family gatherings, reunions, etc. Times vary depending on the pools’ operating hours. Lifeguards are provided for all rentals. Fee includes up to the maximum number of guests listed and a two hour rental. A 72-hour notice is required to book an outdoor pool. Changes or cancellations to pool reservations are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

LIFEGUARD
Candidates successfully completing the class will be certified in Lifeguarding, Standard First and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Attendance at all classes is required.
Prerequisites: Must be able to swim a total of 300 yards demonstrating freestyle and breaststroke. Must be able to swim 20 yards, submerge and retrieve a 10 lb brick, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTOR
This class is for currently certified lifeguards who are seeking advanced training to train prospective lifeguards. Must hold a current American Red Cross lifeguard certification.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Students in private lessons learn to swim as fast as possible because of undivided attention from the instructor and individualized lesson plans.
Private swim lessons are scheduled throughout the summer and are available at different times during each session.

Classes may reach maximum capacity quickly. Please remember to register early so you will not be disappointed. If your class is full, please allow us to put you on the waiting list. We will contact you as soon as possible if a spot becomes available.
Students must meet the age requirements and prerequisite prior to the first day of the class that they are registered for.
Parents, please allow yourself extra time on the first day of class for completing class release forms and to meet your child’s instructor.
To ensure quality instruction and safety every effort is made to adhere to strict student-to-teacher ratios. Classes have a maximum enrollment of 4-8 students depending on the level. Only those registered for classes will be allowed in the water while classes are in session. The tot pool at Bad Königshofen pool is not available for use during class hours.
Swim lessons for individuals with disabilities or special needs are available following the inclusion model. Private lessons are also available for individuals wanting one on one instruction.
TRANSFER AND WITHDRAW
Participants must be withdrawn from the class three days prior to the class start date to receive a refund.

CANCELED CLASSES
In the event that a class is canceled, every effort will be made to notify you by telephone. On the first day of class verify that the pool staff has the correct phone number.
If a class is canceled for any reason on the behalf of the City of Arlington, we will try to make up time by adding minutes to the remaining classes. However if this is not possible, the following Friday will serve as our designated make up day.
Aquatics classes must have at least two participants. The Aquatics team will move registrants of classes that do not make to another class, issue a refund, or find other accommodations.

Each course is $60 per student and consists of 8 classes, 25 minutes for preschool students, and 40 minutes for youth students.

Join us for the First Annual EAST Splash & Dash Junior Triathlon. Athletes will swim laps in our indoor pool before heading outside to bike and run around Bob Cooke Park.
Participants should bring their own bicycle, towel, or any other desired equipment. Price includes event registration, finisher’s medal, and post-race snacks.

SPLASH PADS IN OUR PARKS
Splash pads are fun kid-friendly fountains and spray areas that are a great way to beat the summer heat!
Arlington has three FREE splash pad locations throughout the city that open 10 AM to 8 PM every day Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend and only on weekends through September.

THE BEACON'S SPLASH PAD
The Beacon Recreation Center has a beautiful splash pad with covered shelters available for rent. Splash pad use is available for members or enjoy access with a $8 day pass.
The Beacon's Splash Pad is open May through September, pending weather. Hours are Monday-Saturday 10 AM-6 PM, and Sunday 12-6 PM.
The Beacon is located at 1100 Mansfield Webb Road. For more information call 817-575-8340.

Allen Bolden Pool is an L-shaped Olympic sized pool that meets the needs of virtually every swim enthusiast. The pool features a diving board and zero depth entry. The depth of pool ranges from zero to thirteen feet deep. Additional amenities include concessions, six shade structures and a large grass campus.
Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center offers a great value for the entire family. The pool features include an interactive spray pad and shallow water play pool, lap pool, diving area and two water slides. ** The depth of pools ranges from one and half feet to twelve feet deep. Other amenities include concessions, storage lockers, shower facilities, deck furniture and a shade pavilion.

The City's 113,000-gallon indoor aquatic facility. East is open year-round and serves a variety of needs from open and lap swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, leisure play and private rentals. The pool is 25 yards in length, and it has four lap lanes. Depth of pool ranges from 3.5 ft to 10 ft deep.

Woodland West Pool is a popular neighborhood pool that features shaded areas and grass. The back wall of the pool is elevated and is great place to jump off and make big splashes. Woodland West Pool also features a large shallow end that is great for young children. The depth of pool ranges from two feet to eleven feet deep. Services at the pool include swimming lessons and facility rentals. Limited drink and snack concession are available.
