Recreation Center proposed The Batavia Park District is placing a bond referendum on the March 17 ballot to acquire the land, build, and equip an indoor recreation center.

The indoor facility would include: • Eight-lane swimming pool • Large turf playing field • Multi-activity court gymnasium • Indoor track (free to seniors with SilverSneakers program) • Group wellness and cardio/strength circuit equipment • Multi-purpose rooms The location of the facility resides in the Fox Valley Business Park, located off Rt. 25 (River St.) at the corner of Belleview Ln. and Oswalt Ave. in Batavia.

Come to Green Night Out at the Movies Sat., March 21 City Hall Council Chambers Expo opens: 6pm, Movie: 7pm Discussion following movie Enjoy the 12th annual Green Night Out at the Movies featuring Current Revolution. The event features an Eco-Expo, the environmentally themed movie, and a discussion about the movie topic with local experts afterward. This is a free community event. Please bring your reusable cups and bowls for lemonade and popcorn.

Easter Egg Hunt Sat., April 4, 10am Rotolo Middle School Free! Ages 2–8

All little bunnies are invited to hop on over for the annual Easter Egg Hunt! Be sure to see the Easter Bunny. Everyone should be at the school by 9:45am. Group leaders will divide children into age groups and take them to their separate hunt areas. At 10am the hunt will begin! Don’t forget a basket to hold all those goodies. In the spirit of the event, participants are asked to please bring a non-perishable food item or paper product to be donated to the Batavia Food Pantry.

Doggie Easter Egg Hunt Sat., April 4, 12pm West Main Community Park Bark Park $10 per dog

Let your dog hunt for Easter eggs! Join us at the Bark Park as your dog(s) hunt for Easter eggs filled with doggie treats. All dogs must be leashed during the event! Pre-registration is requested, but we will accept registration at the gate to the Bark Park starting at 11:30am. Registration fee is per dog. Hunt will begin at 12pm sharp! Sponsored by:

Batavia Road Rally— Walking Edition! Sat., April 25, 1–4pm Peg Bond Center $25 per team All Ages

Get your team together for the 2nd annual Batavia Road Rally—Walking Edition! Compete against other teams through a series of hints, clues, and activities throughout Batavia. This event will test your communication and teamwork skills, great for families, neighbors, co-workers, and friends! There will be a Team Spirit award, along with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

The event fee is per team, and teams can consist of

up to four people. Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. This is a rain or shine event. Check-in begins at 12:30pm. Participants can expect to walk approximately three miles. Registration deadline: Thurs., April 23

Parks Foundation Open House Sat., April 11, 12–2-pm Shannon Hall Free!

Join the Batavia Parks Foundation for a special Open House this spring! Learn more about the Foundation mission, past projects, upcoming Park Clean-Up Days, and how you can get more involved.
