FESTIVALS GOOCH’S GARLIC RUN

The Blue Knights of NJ (International Law Enforcement Motor Club) bring their annual ride to raise funds for children in need to Newark. All of Ferry Street comes alive with hundreds of motorcycles.

Join people from across the city to walk from City Hall to the Passaic River and enjoy an afternoon of music, dance, spoken word, capoeira, double dutch, face painting, environmental workshops, and more.

Paddle on the Passaic Riverfront Park

Public paddle day will offer a unique opportunity to experience the city from the river. The program is open to all. Trained kayakers will be on-hand to provide tips for new paddlers. Must be able to paddle and sit on kayak for 1 hour (in good cardiovascular shape). Minimum age is 12 years old. There will be a short little paddle test before we leave just to make sure folks will be able to handle a river trip!
