JULY 4th festivities

A celebration of the history of the Market St. Day Nursery (opened October 17, 1905), one of the city’s first emergency shelters for children, and 317 Elm St., the shelter’s third location, which opened in 1916 and continues to serve families and children to this day. A plaque and an award to our “she-roes,” the women who continue the work on Elm St. today, will be dedicated.

In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Cathedral Basilica and the fireworks will be rescheduled.

Ironbound thank you america festival Sunday, July 3 | starting at 4pm Newark Riverfront Park

The Ironbound 4th of July Thank You America Festival brings for the second year a large fireworks show to the Newark Riverfront Park by the Passaic River. Celebrate Independence Day with the whole family, come early and enjoy the music, arts and craft tents, and more.

Ecuadorian Festival and Parade

The festival will feature music concerts, Ecuadorian celebrities, cuisine, arts and artifacts, activities for families, and a large parade with representatives from all Ecuadorian communities of New Jersey.

Brazilian Day

The Brazilian Day Newark is a street festival held in the Ironbound for the past 23 years. For two days there will be music concerts, and display of Brazilian Arts and Crafts, food and drinks, and a lot of dancing.

A day of peace, dogs, and music! A pet-friendly outdoor festival, concert, fundraiser and adoption event. It’s also the 9th anniversary of Hell’s Kitchen Lounge.

Community-wide garade sale throughout the Forest Hill community. Maps are released a few weeks prior with who’s participating.

Annual car show draws more than 3,000 people and includes live entertainment, local celebrity appearances and a multitude of food options and activities for families and children.
