8th Annual Arts & Music Fair SATURDAY, AUGUST 9 Elwood Park Celebration of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture will feature a wide range of acts, from local performers including Herencia de Plena, Trio Tropical, Plena Dulce and talent from the entire tri-state area. The Fair will have local food vendors. The outdoor art exhibit grows every year with hands-on projects for the kids.

Paddle on the Passaic Riverfront Park Public paddle day will offer a unique opportunity to experience the city from the river. The program is open to all. Trained kayakers will be on-hand to provide tips for new paddlers. Must be able to paddle and sit on kayak for 1 hour (in good cardiovascular shape). Minimum age is 12 years old. There will be a short little paddle test before we leave just to make sure folks will be able to handle a river trip! Fee is $5 for Newark residents and $15 for general admission.
