Uno de los sitios más sorprendentes e interesantes de la Ciudad de México es el Museo Soumaya, una obra de arte que es hogar de miles de obras de arte.

El museo, ubicado dentro de Centro Carso en el exclusivo barrio de Polanco, es obra del arquitecto mexicano Fernando Romero con la asesoría de Ove Arup y Frank Gehry, dos leyendas en el mundo de la arquitectura y el diseño. La estructura del museo, considerado entre los más bellos del mundo, asemeja a una nube que se mueve con el viento, su concepción rompe con los esquemas y las viejas reglas de la arquitectura y es un ejemplo de lo que se puede lograr combinando la tecnología más avanzada con el ingenio y la creatividad. La fachada del museo está recubierta por una red de módulos hexagonales que simulan un panal. Los módulos no se tocan entre sí ni tienen contacto con el suelo, lo que le confiere un efecto visual de estar flotando.

One of the most fascinating and outstanding places in Mexico City is the Soumaya Museum, a work of art home to thousands of works of art.

The museum, located within Centro Carso, in the exclusive neighborhood of Polanco, is the work of Mexican architect Fernando Romero with the contribution of Ove Arup and Frank Gehry, two legends in the field of architecture and design. The structure of the museum, considered amongst the world’s most beautiful, resembles a cloud that moves with the wind. Its ground-breaking structure leaves the old rules behind and is proof of what state-of-the-art technology combined with invention and creativity can achieve. The façade of the museum is covered by a network of hexagonal modules that simulate a honeycomb. The modules do not touch each other or the ground, which confers a floating visual effect.
